Grace A. Burris, age 80, of 525 E. Columbia Street, South Whitley, IN, died at 6:40 a.m. on Monday July 15, 2002 at her son's Roanoke residence. She was born on November 14, 1921 to Charles and Laura (Johnson) Mills in Fort Wayne, Allen Co., IN.

She married Charles H. Burris on August 7, 1940 in Fort Wayne, IN. She resided at Indiana State Road 114 for 13 years and in the Whitley Co. area the rest of her life. She retired from General Electric Company in 1978 and she was also employed by Menu Meats and I.T. T., Fort Wayne, IN.

Survivors include one daughter Janice E. Swaim, Columbia City, IN; two sons, Dennis C. (Linda) Burris, Leo-Spencerville , IN and Charles A. (Mary) Burris from Roanoke, IN; two sisters, Ruth Smith, Fort Wayne, IN and Garnett Roth, Coldwater, MI; one brother, Deloy Mills, Fort Wayne, IN; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

Her husband died on July 24, 1993. Her parents, two brothers, Charles L. and Dale Mills, and a granddaughter, Tamee Perry, preceded her in death.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 17, 2002 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City, IN. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 18, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home with Reverend Darrell Weigelt, Cornerstone Alliance Church, and Marti Schrader officiating. Burial will be at the Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne, IN. Memorials may be made in Mrs. Burris's memory to the donor's choice.

Keith E. "Pickle" Schinbeckler, age 75, of Columbia City, IN, died at 9:25 a.m. on Thursday, July 10, 2003 at his son's residence in Carmel, IN. He was born on August 22, 1927 in Columbia City, IN to Homer Albert and Vera Marie (Leonard) Schinbeckler.

A lifelong resident of Tri-Lakes, he was a WWII veteran as a Sgt. with the U.S. Air Force from 1944-1947. He graduated from Columbia City High School with the Class of 1952, the Classes of 1956 and 1961with his Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Indiana University.

He married his wife, JoAnne Witte at the Trinity English Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne, IN in June 1951.

A retired teacher for Fort Wayne Community Schools at James H. Smart School, Weiser Park Middle School and Northrop High School, he was also a member of Peabody Public Library Board of Directors, Indiana State Teachers Association and Jaguar Owners Club of North America.

Survivors include 2 sons, H. David (Luanne) Schinbeckler of Mindemoya, Ontario, Canada and Thomas E. (Amy) Schinbeckler of Carmel, IN; a brother, Don (Marlowe) Schinbeckler of South Bend, IN; 2 sisters, Carole Schinbeckler of Columbia City, IN and Barbara (Herbert) Schnabel of Midlothian, VA; and 6 grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife, JoAnne and a sister, Maxine Schinbeckler.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, July 12, 2003 at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City, IN. According to Mr. Schinbeckler's wishes, there will be no funeral service. Private burial will be on Monday, July 14, 2003 at Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne, IN. Memorials may be given in Mr. Schinbeckler's memory to the Peabody Public Library. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Betty Jean Hall, age 75, formerly of Columbia City, IN and most recently she has lived with her daughter at 1811 Woodhaven Drive, Fort Wayne, IN, died at 9:22 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2003 at the Lutheran Hospital of Indiana, Fort Wayne, IN. She was born in Fort Wayne, IN on January 17, 1928 to Chester and Loretta (Algar) Myers.

She is a graduate of the former Albion High School, Albion, IN. Raised in Noble County, she moved to Fort Wayne in 1950. She married Charles "Charlie" R. Hall on October 24, 1970 in Fort Wayne, IN. She moved to Island Court, Tri-Lakes in 1976 and then to Columbia City in 1990. For 10 years, she was employed as a baker and supervisor for the Summers Bakery in Fort Wayne.

She was a member of the Eagles Auxillary Post #248, Fort Wayne, IN. She also was an avid bingo player and jigsaw puzzle enthusiast.

Survivors include her former husband, Tony Gordon of Fort Wayne, IN; 4 sons, Ted (Sherrell) Gordon of Tulsa, OK, Fred (Christina) Gordon of Roanoke, IN, Wayne Gordon of Whitewater, WI and Kenny (Sherry) Gordon of Fort Wayne; 2 daughters, Judy (Matthew) Barnes of Fort Wayne and Vickie (Don) Ashcraft of Celina, OH; 2 step-daughters, Grace (Mike) Kelly and Donna Diss both of Fort Wayne; a sister, Colleen Statler of Wolf Lake, IN; 4 brothers, Robert (Judy) Myers and Bill Myers both of Fort Wayne, Jim (Rose) Myers of Waco, TX, Don (Sandy) Myers of Avilla, IN. 18 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Preceding her in death were her husband, Charles "Charlie" R. Hall who died on January 7, 1995; her parents; 1 step-daughter, Sherry Morton; 1 brother, Chester Myers; 2 grandsons and 1 great-grandson.

Visitation will be from 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. on Monday, July 14, 2003 at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City, IN. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2003 at the funeral home with Pastor John Cummings of Community Bible Church officiating. Burial will be at Christian Chapel Cemetery, Noble County, IN.

George L. "Lee" Campbell, age 63, of Columbia City, died at 10:20 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2003 at his residence. He was born on February 15, 1940 to Oliver J. and Olive Muriel (McManus) Campbell in Wheeling, WV.

He attended Whitehall High School in Whitehall, OH. A US Army veteran from 1959-1964, he served in Europe for 2 years. He was married to Maureen K. Miller on May 15, 1965 at the Wallen United Methodist Church. Residing in Columbus, OH through his high school years, he spent most of his adult lifetime in Fort Wayne, IN and then he moved to Columbia City in 1998. He was employed by Custom Tube Company for 35 years as a plant superintendent in Waynedale, IN. He was an umpire for Little League Baseball for 10 years for Three River's Umpire Association and a loyal Homestead High School Pit Crew member for the band. He was an avid NASCAR and Notre Dame fan.

Survivors include his wife, Maureen K. of Columbia City; a daughter, Katherine R. (Jonathan) Parker, Columbia City, IN; a son, Neil C. (Mary Beth) Campbell of Fort Wayne, IN; a sister, Phyllis J. Parisot of Auburn, IN; 2 brothers, Dennis J. Campbell of Fort Wayne and Gregory R. Campbell of Albion, IN; and 4 grandchildren, Megan, Danielle, Klayton and Kamrin. His parents preceded him in death.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2003 at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2003 at the funeral home with Reverend Mark Clough, Associate Pastor of The Chapel, officiating. Burial will be at South Park (Annex) Cemetery, Columbia City. Memorial donations may be given in Mr. Campbell's memory to Dale Earnhardt Inc. Charitable Giving. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Lowell H. Klinefelter, age 59, of Columbia City, IN died on Saturday, July 12, 2003 at 12:55 p.m. at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, IN. He was born in Kosciuscko County, IN on July 9, 1944 to Jacob and Violet (Walters) Klinefelter. He has spent his lifetime in the Tippecanoe and Etna Green, IN areas until moving to Columbia City, IN 1988.

He graduated with the Class of 1962 from Tippecanoe High School. He received 2 associate degrees from ITT College and a Bachelor of Business degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. He was a US Army veteran serving in Vietnam and Germany from 1965-1967 and 1973-1976. He was employed by ITT of Fort Wayne, Adaptive Microware of Fort Wayne, and as a purchaser of electrical parts for sound equipment for Crown, Inc. in Elkhart, IN.

He married Karen I. English on June 25, 1988 in Etna Green UMC, Etna Green, IN. He was a member of St. Matthew's United Methodist Church where he also served on the administrative board, as a Sunday School teacher, sound system technician, the United Methodist Men's group, and the staff parish committee, Warsaw Pistol & Rifle Club, and AARP.

In addition to his wife, Karen, survivors include 2 daughters, Michele A. and Emily Grace Klinefelter of Columbia City; a sister, Alice (Merlin) Wallace of Bremen, IN; a half-brother, Jack (Marilyn) Klinefelter of Warsaw, IN. His parents and 2 brothers, Bob and Rex Burnett, preceded him in death.

Visitation will be from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. on Friday, July 18, 2003 at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 19, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Matthews United Methodist Church, with Pastors Denise Davault and Bob Conelley officiating. Burial will be at St. Matthews (Hively) Cemetery. Memorials may be given in Mr. Klinefelter's memory to St. Matthew's United Methodist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Robert G. Insley, age 85, of Syracuse died at 9:40 a.m. at Avalon Village Nursing Home, Ligonier, IN on Sunday, July 20, 2003. Born in Syracuse, IN, on December 15, 1917, he was the son of Claude Insley and Ina I. Bushong.

He graduated with the Class of 1936 from Syracuse High School. He married Ethel Mae Rowe on February 17, 1940 in Warsaw, IN. Retiring after 39 years, he was employed by Johnson Controls in Goshen, IN from 1942-1981. A lifetime resident of Syracuse, he attended Calvary Baptist Church, Oswego, IN. He was a member of Johnson Retiree's Club of Goshen , Kosciusko County Historical Society, Syracuse Alumni Association, and he was Republican Precinct Committeeman for Turkey Creek Township for many years.

Survivors include 1 daughter, Jean E. Insley of Syracuse; 1 son, Stanley R. Insley of Syracuse; 1 sister, Retha M. Ketchum of Syracuse; and 1 brother, Nelson C. Wogoman of Elkhart, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Ethel Mae, 3 sisters, Betty Stutzman, Elizabeth (Libby) Rookstool, Norma Wogoman, 3 brothers, Rolland (Tubby) Wogoman, Marion (Peanut) Wogoman, and Norman Wogoman.

Visitation will be held from 9-11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 23, 2003 at Calvary Baptist Church of Oswego, 3065 E. Armstrong Road. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 23rd at Calvary Baptist Church in Oswego with Pastor Roderick V. Smith and Pastor Mark Kelly officiating. Burial will be at Syracuse Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Mr. Insley's memory to the Syracuse Fire Department, Syracuse EMS, or Calvary Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the church.

Brian T. "Wes" Wesson, age 62,of Kimmell,died at 5:21 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23, 2003 at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana, Fort Wayne. He was born in Pittsfield, NH on February 25,1941 to John Thomas and Violet Elizabeth (Tilton) Wesson.

Graduating from Pittsfield High School, Pittsfield, NH, he served in the US Marine Corps. He married Jacqueline Jean Dooley on December 30, 1968 in Rockton, IL. In 1996, he moved from Bear Lake to Kimmell. He was employed by General Motors, Janesville, WI and Fort Wayne, IN plants for 37 years. His memberships included Community Bible Church, Columbia City and UAW, Fort Wayne.

Survivors include 5 sons, Dave (Sue) Wesson and Shawn Wesson both of Janesville, WI, Thomas (Cathy) Wesson of Kimmell, Dennis (Amy) Wesson of Albion, and Weldon (Julie) Wesson of Corpus Christi, TX; 1 daughter, Linda (Dean) Gerber of Neillsville, WI; 3 brothers, Robert Wesson of Pittsfield, NH, Michael Wesson of Manchester, NH, and John Wesson of Foxford, MA; 1 sister, Claire (Arnold) Ries of Punta Gorda, FL; and 13 grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, preceding him in death were his wife, Jacqueline who died on September 8, 2000 and a brother, Craig Wesson.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 & 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2003 at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 27, 2003 at the funeral home with Pastors Curtiss Johnson and John Cummings of Community Bible Church officiating. Burial will be at Sparta Cemetery, Kimmell, IN. Memorial bequests may be given in Mr. Wesson's memory to Child Evangelism Ministries, PO Box 612, Winona Lake, IN 46590 or envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Peggy Jeanne Duff, age 55, of Fort Wayne, died at 8:50 a.m. on Monday, July 28, 2003 at Byron Health Care Center, Fort Wayne. She was born in Elkhart, IN on October 30, 1947 to Russel Boyd and Phyllis Adelle (Pearson) Van Dusen.

She graduated with the Class of 1965 from Elkhart High School, Elkhart, IN. She also attended South Bend College of Commerce. She previously resided in Elkhart, IN, Washington, D.C., Okinawa, Japan and since 1992, she has been a resident of Byron Health Care Center. She was active in the PTA and as a seamstress for children's plays, past chapter president of Alpha Iota Business Sorority, and a volunteer for the Salvation Army.

She is survived by 2 daughters, April (Troy) Snyder of Columbia City, and Wendy (Kurt) Hunsucker of Paragon, IN; 3 grandchildren, Melissa and Spencer Hunsucker of Paragon, and Davis Snyder of Columbia City. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Sharon Artley and Lynn Van Dusen.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, August 1, 2003 and from 2-3 p.m. on Saturday, August 2nd at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 2nd with Pastor C. Jack Scott from Columbia City United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be at Rice Cemetery, Elkhart, IN.

Robert Allan Krugh, age 59, of 977 E Gatesworth Drive, Columbia City, IN 46725, died on Tuesday, August 5, 2003 at 10:28 a.m. in the Parkview Whitley Hospital Emergency Room where he was brought after being found in his vehicle East of Columbia City. He was born on April 17, 1944 in Fort Wayne, Allen County, IN to Robert Lincoln and Ruth M. DeHaven Krugh.

He attended Emmaus Lutheran School and graduated from Concordia Lutheran High School in Fort Wayne, IN. He has spent his lifetime in Decatur, IN, Fort Wayne and most of his adult lifetime in Columbia City and Tri Lakes area.

He married Betty J. Wickliffe on September 12, 1987 in Fort Wayne, IN. He served with the United States Army in Viet Nam. He has worked at White Electronic Designs, Bluffton Road, Waynedale, IN for the past 25 years. He was a member of Emmaus Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne, IN.

He is survived by his wife, Betty J. Krugh, Columbia City, IN; 3 sons, Gerald R. (Lisa) Krugh, Fort Wayne, IN; Ronald E. Krugh, Columbia City, IN and Kevin W. Bowser, Englewood, CO; 5 daughters, including Ronda M. (Ricky) Odem, Ludlow, KY, Melissa R. Goodrich, Huntington, IN, Amy L. (Charlie) Sitts, Columbia City, IN, Brenda S. (Hal) Hanes, Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Debra K. Bowser, Chassell, MI; 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, August 8, 2003 at the DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, IN. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 9, 2003 at the funeral home with Pastor Barry Faucett of the New Hope Wesleyan Church officiating. Burial will be at the St. Matthew's Cemetery, Columbia City, IN. Memorial bequests may be given in Mr. Krugh's memory to American Diabetes. Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
