Kenneth E. Hand, 88, rural Huntertown, died at 1:52 a.m. Wednesday (Jan. 22, 2003) at the Hospice Home of Northeast Indiana in Fort Wayne. He had been in declining health for the past two months and had entered the hospice home two weeks ago.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, 206 N. Main St., Churubusco.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Huntertown United Methodist Church, 16021 Lima Rd., Huntertown, with Pastor Sherri Long and Pastor David Michel officiating.
Interment will be at the Huntertown Cemetery.

Carlene E. Guest, 88, 1870 Byron St., died at 11 p.m. Saturday (Jan. 18, 2003) at her home.
Calling is 9-11 a.m. Saturday at the Bailey-Love Mortuary. Private family services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. David Arnold officiating.

Cletus I. Hess, 92, 754 Jackson St., died at 5:45 a.m. Friday (Jan. 24, 2003) at Parkview Huntington Hospital.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Sunday, with recitation of the rosary at 3:30 p.m., at the McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, with calling one hour prior to services, at the funeral home. Father Gary Sigler will officiate.
Burial will be at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Donna Marie Sellers, 42, a resident of Hickory Creek on Grant Street, died at 9:25 p.m. Friday (Jan. 24, 2003) at Parkview Huntington Hospital.
Calling was noon-3 p.m. Sunday and will be at 1-2 p.m. Monday at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church, with Father Gary Sigler officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Marcy Ann Miller, 50, of rural Markle, died late Wednesday afternoon from injuries sustained in an automobile accident at CR 400N and CR 200E in Huntington County.
Calling is 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Myers Funeral Home, Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee St., Markle. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Tuesday, with calling one hour prior to services. Pastor Larry Elder will officiate.
Interment will be at the Covington Memorial Gardens, 8408 Covington Rd., Fort Wayne.

Francis W. Merritt
Francis W. Merritt, 73, of New Haven and formerly of Huntington County, died Tuesday (Jan. 21, 2003) at Miller’s Merry Manor, Fort Wayne.
Services were held Saturday, January 25, 2003 at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Rd., Fort Wayne, IN 46835. Rev. Robert Arenobine presided at the service.
Mr. Merritt was cremated.
Preferred memorials are to the American Cancer Society.
Eva Pauline Ridenour
Eva Pauline Ridenour, 92, a resident of Miller’s Merry Manor, died at 9:40 a.m. Tuesday (Jan. 21, 2003) at the nursing home.
Calling hours and services will be private. Rev. Joe Sumwalt will officiate. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery, Alexandria.
