Nellie Roush, 84, a resident of the United Methodist Memorial Home in Warren, died at the home at 7:20 a.m. Tuesday (Feb. 4, 2003).

Calling is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Ferguson Funeral Home, 201 W. Main St., Van Buren, where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday. Rev. J. Wallace will officiate.

Burial will be at Lancaster Cemetery.

Thomas M. Morris

Thomas M. Morris, 81, Anderson, died Tuesday (Feb. 4, 2003) at St. John’s Health System, Anderson, after a brief illness.

Calling is from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service Friday at the Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service, 229 S. Rangeline Rd., Anderson. Pastor Ned Clark will officiate.

Burial will be at the Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery with Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 266 conducting military graveside rites.

Preferred memorials are to the donor’s choice of charities, in care of Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service, 229 S. Rangeline Rd., Anderson, IN 46012.

Elizabeth C. Moore

Elizabeth C. Moore, 89, a resident of Grace Village Health Care, Winona Lake, Warsaw, died at the home at 2:10 p.m. Thursday (Jan. 30, 2003).

Calling is 4-8 p.m. Friday at Deal-Robbins & Van Gilder Funeral Home, Andrews Chapel, where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Dr. Kent Young will officiate.

Burial will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Andrews Christian Church in care of the funeral home.

DeWayne C. Johnson

DeWayne C. Johnson, 87, a resident of The Heritage of Huntington, died at 9:25 a.m. Wednesday (Feb. 5, 2003) at Parkview Huntington Hospital.

Calling is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday and 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday. Pastor Russell Buzzard will officiate.

Burial will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church or to the Alzheimer’s Association in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington IN 46750.

Melvin D. Geiger

Melvin D. Geiger, 64, Churubusco, died at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday (Feb. 5, 2003) at his home following an 18-month illness.

Calling is from 6-8 p.m. Thursday and 2-8 p.m. Friday at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, 206 N. Main St., Churubusco, and one hour prior to the funeral service, scheduled at 10:30 a.,m. Saturday at Churubusco United Methodist Church. Pastors Marvin Troyer and Samuel Norris will conduct the service.

Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Whitley County.

Preferred memorials are to WBCL radio, the ALS Foundation, or Parkview Home Health and Hospice, Columbia City.

Lillian M. Wood

Lillian Marie Wood, 85, a resident of the United Methodist Memorial Home in Warren, died at 8:05 a.m. Thursday (Feb. 6, 2003) at the Bluffton Regional Medical Center.

Calling is 3-8 p.m. Friday at Glancy Funeral Homes, H. Brown and Son Chapel, Warren. A Sigma Phi Gamma Sorority memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Rev. Frank Wood officiating. Burial will be at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Warren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the United Church of Christ, P.O. Box 344, Warren IN 46792.

Sr. Mary Paulice Holzinger

Sister Mary Paulice Holzinger, SSND, 90, died at 3:20 p.m. Wednesday (Feb. 5, 2003) at Brookfield Memorial Hospital, Brookfield, Wis.

A wake service will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. CST Monday followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Family Chapel at Notre Dame of Elm Grove, 13105 Watertown Plank Rd., Elm Grove, Wis. Friends may call from 8:30 a.m. CST until the time of the wake service.

Preferred memorials are to the SSND Retirement Fund, 13105 Watertown Plank Rd., Elm Grove, WI 53122.

Franzen, Jung, Kaufmann & Weiand is in charge of arrangements.

Lela A. Gilbert

Lela A. Gilbert, 88, 9957W Chapel Rd., Andrews, died at 11:03 a.m. Thursday (Feb. 6, 2003) at Miller’s Merry Manor, Huntington.

Calling is 2-8 p.m. Sunday at the Bailey-Love Mortuary, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday. Pastor Gary Riley will officiate.

Burial will be at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery.

Ruth Friend

Ruth Hart Williams Owen Friend, 93, a resident of the United Methodist Memorial Home in Warren, died at the home on Wednesday (Feb. 5, 2003).

There are no calling hours or services. Burial will be at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Montpelier.

Glancy Funeral Homes, Walker Chapel, Montpelier, is in charge of arrangements.

Raymond Roberts

Raymond D. “Butch” Roberts, 65, a resident of Ash Street, died at 10:30 a.m. Saturday (Feb. 8., 2003) at his home following an extended illness.

Calling will be from noon until the 2 p.m. funeral service on Tuesday at Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel. Pastor John Willis will officiate at the service.

Burial will be at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Huntington County.

Patrick K. ‘Pat’ Raver

Patrick K. “Pat” Raver, 64, Fort Wayne, died at 2:05 a.m. Friday (Feb. 7, 2003) at Hospice Home of Northeast Indiana, Fort Wayne.

Calling was from 1-3 p.m. Sunday at Deal-Robbins & Van Gilder Funeral Home, Andrews Chapel. Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. Monday at Riverside Cemetery, Andrews.

Preferred memorials are to the Raver family in care of Deal-Robbins & Van Gilder Funeral Home, Andrews Chapel, 233 N. Main St., Andrews IN 46702.

Robert I. Hunt

Robert I. Hunt, 72, Huntington, died Saturday morning (Feb. 8, 2003) at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Rev. Russell Buzzard will officiate.

Burial will be at Star of Hope Cemetery.

Preferred memorials are contributions to American Legion Post 85, Huntington, in care of the funeral home.

Lloyd E. Hasty

Lloyd E. Hasty, 77, 706 Hasty St., died at 7:40 a.m. Sunday (Feb. 9, 2003) at his home.

Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Deal Robbins and Van Gilder Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. Glen Vickery officiating.

Burial will be at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Huntington County.

Preferred memorials are to Parkview Home Health and Hospice Care, in care of the funeral home, 338 E. Washington St., Huntington, IN 46750.

Dean Gurtner

Dean Gurtner, 67, 41 McCarty St., died at 8:15 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 8, 2003) at his home.

Family visitation was held Sunday at the Deal-Robbins and Van Gilder Funeral Home Huntington Chapel.

Cremation was held following the service.

Preferred memorials are to the Huntington YMCA.
