George W. Fairchild

George W. Fairchild, 84, Bluffton, died at 4:40 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 8, 2003) at Markle Health Care.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Jefferson Chapel Coesse United Methodist Church with Pastor Jeffrey Boyle officiating.

The Myers Funeral Home, Markle Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.

Dorotha P. Zinsmeister

Dorotha P. “Dot” Zinsmeister, 89, of rural Huntington, died at 8:53 p.m. Sunday (Feb. 9, 2003) at the Norwood Nursing Center.

Calling is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Bailey-Love Mortuary, where funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday. Rev. Cameron Douglas and Dr. Sam Young will officiate.

Preferred memorials are to the Central Christian Church Building Fund, in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Dr., Huntington, IN 46750.

Helen J. Waters

Helen J. Waters, 66, Albion, died at 4:05 a.m. Monday (Feb. 10, 2003) at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

At the request of Mrs. Waters, there will be no visitation.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Big Lake Church of God, 6955N Ind.-109, Columbia City, with Pastor Tim Kumfer officiating.

Burial will take place at a later date.

The DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, Columbia City, is in charge of arrangements.

Jerry R. Han

Jerry Richard Han, 59, died at 8:45 p.m. Sunday (Feb. 9, 2003) at Miller’s Merry Manor. He had lived there for over 20 years.

Calling will be held from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service Wednesday at Miller’s Merry Manor, 1500 Grant St. Rev. Joe Sumwalt will officiate. Burial will be at the Hillcrest Cemetery.

The Bailey-Love Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.

Mary E. Weller

Mary E. Weller, 93, formerly of Lindley Street, died at 12:55 a.m. Friday (Feb. 14, 2003) at Miller’s Merry Manor, where she was a resident.

Calling is from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Monday at the Deal-Robbins & Van Gilder Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel. Pastor Joe Sumwalt will officiate.

Burial will be at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery.

Fred E. Sonner Jr.

Fred Elmer Sonner Jr., 85, died at 6:27 a.m. Thursday (Feb. 13, 2003) at the Norwood Nursing Center, where he resided.

There will be no visitation.

A private family memorial service will be held Sunday with Ronald J. Tinkle officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Parkview Home Health Care & Hospice, in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Dr., Huntington, IN 46750.

Richard E. Myers

Richard E. “Rick” Myers, 53, Lancaster, died at 5:55 p.m. Wednesday (Feb. 12, 2003) at Parkview Huntington Hospital.

Calling is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday with Rev. Brent Birdsall officiating.

Interment will be at the Lancaster Cemetery.

Ray A. Laymon

Ray A. Laymon, 99, died at 2:40 p.m. Wednesday (Feb. 12, 2003) at the United Methodist Memorial Home in Warren, where he was a resident.

There will be no calling hours or services.

Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice of charities, in care of Glancy Funeral Homes, H. Brown & Son Chapel, 203 N. Matilda St., Warren, IN 46792.

Harold E. Ridenour

Harold Eugene Ridenour, 88, a resident of Norwood Nursing Center, died at the home at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday (Feb. 12, 2003).

Services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the McDonald Funeral Home, Eddingfield Chapel, 231 Falls Ave., Wabash. Rev. Joe Sumwalt officiated. Burial was at the Mississinewa Cemetery, Somerset.

Beverly A. Ray

Beverly A. Ray, 66, Huntington, died at 6:24 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 15, 2003) at Parkview Huntington Hospital.

Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday. Pastor Steve Durrwachter will officiate.

Interment will be at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery.

Preferred memorials are to the American Diabetes. Association or the Huntington County Humane Society, in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington, IN 46750.

Kelly ‘Buster’ Lane Jr.

Kelly “Buster” Lane Jr., 71, 425 Grover St., Warren, died at 10:30 a.m. Sunday (Feb. 16, 2003) at his home.

Calling is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Glancy Funeral Homes, H. Brown & Son Chapel, 203 N. Matilda St., Warren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Tom Brodbeck and Rev. Ken Thompson officiating.

Burial will be at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Warren.

William A. Cramer

Former three-term Huntington County Council member William A. “Bill” Cramer, died at 8:15 a.m. Friday (Feb. 14, 2003) at the United Methodist Memorial Home, Warren. He was 96.

Mr. Cramer was a retired farmer and also retired in 1972 after 10 years as a school bus driver. He was a graduate of Jefferson Township High School and a member of Mt. Etna United Methodist Church.

He was a past president and director of the Farm Bureau Co-Op board and was a member of the Farm Bureau Credit Union. He was a member of the National Hikers and Campers Association and a licensed pilot.

He was born July 30, 1906, in Jefferson Township, to Clinton and Elizabeth Long Cramer. His marriage was Feb. 22, 1936, in Huntington, to Frances E. Corwin. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Roger J. (Wilberta) Horrell, Warren, and Sharon Jones, Ossian; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Jesse Cramer, and two sisters, Ruth Smith and Edna Thompson.

Calling is from 2-8 p.m. Monday at Glancy Funeral Homes-H. Brown & Son Chapel, Warren, where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday with Rev. Charles Ternet and Rev. Tom DeFries officiating.

Burial will be in Mt. Etna Cemetery.

Preferred memorials are to Mt. Etna United Methodist Church Building Fund, 6073S-594W, Huntington, IN 46750.

Mary L. Neal

Mary Louise Everhart Neal, 56, Vero Beach, Fla., died Saturday (Feb. 15, 2003) at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.

A memorial service will be held later. The Seawinds Funeral Home, Sebastian, Fla., is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice, 1111 36th St., Vero Beach FL 32960.
