Maggie L. Howard, 88, 420 Terrel St., Andrews, died at 4:55 p.m. Sunday (March 23, 2003) at her daughter’s home at 330 Terrel St., Andrews.

Calling will be held from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Deal-Robbins & Van Gilder Funeral Home, Andrews Chapel, 233 N. Main St., Andrews.

Calling will also be held from 2-8 p.m. Thursday at the Dixon Atwood Funeral Home, 234 W. Dixie, Elizabethtown, Ky.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Pleasant Grove Church, Hodgenville, Ky., with Rev. Shelby Owen Hare officiating. Burial will at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Hodgenville.

Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice of charities.

Dorothy M. Glass

Dorothy M. Glass, 85, Phoenix, Ariz., died Sunday morning (March 23, 2003) at Thunderbird Samaritan Hospital, Phoenix.

Services and burial will take place in Phoenix.

Preferred memorials are to the Pathfinder Foundation Inc., P.O. Box 1001, Huntington, IN 46750.

The Heritage Funeral Chapel, Phoenix, is in charge of arrangements.

John P. Wise

John P. “Jack” Wise, 78, a former resident of Huntington and Fort Wayne, died at 5 p.m. March 19, 2003, at the Laurel Lake Center in Lee, Mass.

Calling will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Deal-Robbins and Van Gilder Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church, 903 N. Jefferson St., with Father Gary Sigler officiating. Burial will be at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Preferred memorials are to the Second Chance Homeless Shelter of Fort Wayne, in care of the funeral home.

Lois Mae Double

Lois Mae Double, 81, County Line Road, Markle, died at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday (March 25, 2003) at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Calling is 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the Myers Funeral Home, Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee St., Markle. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Pam Princell officiating.

Interment will be at the Markle Cemetery.

Preferred memorials are to the Markle Church of the Brethren, P.O. Box 405, Markle, IN 46770.

John E. Selig

John E. Selig, 73, Aspen Avenue, died at 5:55 a.m. Wednesday (March 26, 2003) at his home.

Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday at the Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday. Pastor Charles Ternet will officiate.

Preferred memorials are to Huntington County Hospice, in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington, IN 46750.

James R. Geiger

James R. Geiger, 59, a lifelong resident of Union Township, Whitley County, died Tuesday evening (March 25, 2003) at Indiana University Medical Center, Indianapolis, where he was admitted Monday evening.

Calling is 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Smith and Sons Funeral Home, 207 N. Main St., Columbia City. A rosary service will follow at 8 p.m.

A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, with calling one hour prior to the Mass, at St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, 315 S. Line St., Columbia City. Father Dale Bauman will officiate.

Burial will be at Union Township Cemetery, east of Columbia City.

Preferred memorials are to the Whitley Branch of Parkview Home Health & Hospice, or to the Kyle Balyeat Memorial Athletic Fund, in care of Smith and Sons Funeral Home, 207 N. Main St., Columbia City, IN 46725.

Rodney C. Dutt

Rodney C. “Rod” Dutt, 66, Culver, died at 8:10 p.m. March 20, 2003 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Culver.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Grace United Church of Christ, Culver, with Rev. J. William Schiller officiating. Visitation will follow the service. Interment will be private.

Preferred memorials are to the Culver Grace United Church of Christ or the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), in care of Bonine Funeral Home, 104 Lakeshore Dr., Culver, IN 46511.

Claude A. Hosier

Claude A. Hosier, 91, 1605 Greenacre Dr., died at 12:25 a.m. Sunday (March 30, 2003) at the Oakbrook Village Nursing Center.

Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, followed by Masonic memorial services at 8 p.m., at the Bailey-Love Mortuary.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Raymond Scribner officiating.

Burial will be at the Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Shriner’s Hospital, in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Dr., Huntington, IN 46750.

Everett J. Holmes

Everett J. Holmes, 71, 7420N-750W, died at 8 a.m. Saturday (March 29, 2003) at his home.

Calling is 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Bailey-Love Mortuary, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Major Ralph Ashcraft will officiate. Burial will be at Star of Hope Cemetery.

Carol Ann Herndon

Carol Ann Herndon, 62, a resident of the Wesleyan Health Care Center, Marion, died there at 7:50 p.m. Saturday (March 29, 2003).

Calling is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. Wallace Champion officiating.

Burial will be at the Mt. Etna Cemetery.

Paul W. Faulkner

Paul W. Faulkner, 73, Columbia City, died at 8:15 a.m. Saturday (March 29, 2003) at Renaissance Village Nursing Home, rural Whitley County, where he was admitted on March 7.

Calling is 2-9 p.m. Wednesday at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Dr., Columbia City. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Judith Follis officiating.

Burial will be at the Hope Lutheran Cemetery, Coesse.

Preferred memorials are to the Hope Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.

Michael L. Scher

Michael L. Scher, 54, 6604N Clear Creek Road, died at 12:15 p.m. Saturday (March 29, 2003) at Parkview Huntington Hospital.

Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Bailey-Love Mortuary.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, with calling one hour prior to services, at Christ the King Episcopal Church, 1224 N. Jefferson St. Rev. Peg Harker will officiate.

Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. military graveside honors will be conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2689.

Preferred memorials are to the Huntington County Humane Shelter, in care of the Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Dr., Huntington, IN 46750.
