Rev. Eloise Rickard
The Rev. Eloise Rickard, 74, of Evansville, died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2001, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Hospital of renal failure.
She was Pentecostal, ordained with the United Christian Church and had served several churches with her husband including, the United Christian Revival Center, Mission of Hope and General Lighthouse and assisted churches in Illinois.
They had a radio ministry with WVHI, WJSN, WRAY, WMCL and a tent and street ministry.
Surviving are her husband of 26 years, Ronald; a daughter, Glenna Meyer of Evansville; a son, Bruce Renshaw of Evansville; two brothers, Charles Crawford of Merrit Island, Fla., and Ray Crawford of New Milford, Conn.; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Simpson Meyer Funeral Home, the Rev. D.W. Cobb officiating, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 11 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

George Waters
George Leonard OSonnyO Waters, 65, of Evansville, died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2001, at his home of pancreatic cancer.
He retired in 1999 after 23 years with Peabody Coal Co.
He was a member of the Free Pentecostal Church.
Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Donna Lou (Luttrull); a daughter, Tambra Benton of Evansville; two sons, Ricky and Troy, both of Evansville; five grandchildren, Kristi Schnautz, Kymberli and Travis Waters and Alyssa and Brandon Benton; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel, the Rev. Allan Meinschein officiating, with burial in Park Lawn Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 pm. today at the funeral home.

Marlene Jones
Marlene Jones, 60, of Evansville, died Friday, Oct. 26, 2001, at Columbia Health Care Center of respiratory arrest.
She was a 1959 graduate of Mater Dei High School.
Surviving are two daughters, Julie Jones and Cynthia Sinclair, both of Texas; two sons, Rick of Oklahoma and Rodney of California; a sister, Judy Leclejewski of Evansville; a brother, Jim Noelke of Texas; nine grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 9:45 a.m. Monday at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel, continuing at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, the Rev. Jay Davidson officiating, with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Glen Berry
VINCENNES - Glen C. Berry, 87, died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2001, at Good Samaritan Hospital of heart failure.
He was a farmer, 1931 graduate of Monroe City High School and member of Monroe City First Church of God.
Surviving are two daughters, Sue Corn of Vincennes and Betty Weisheit of Petersburg; a son, Bill of Vincennes; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
His wife, Gertie (Stroud), died in 1997.
Services will be at 2 p.m. EST Saturday at Goodwin Funeral Home, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to service time.

Helen Padgett
LOOGOOTEE - Helen C. Padgett, 88, died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2001, at the home of her daughter, Vicki Qualkenbush in Loogootee.
She retired from Uniroyal in Washington and during World War II worked at Crane Naval Surface Warfare Center.
She was a member of Mount Zion Wesleyn Church and Senior Citizens and Friendly Clubs of Daviess County and active with the Relay for Life, Sheriff's Association and RSVP Club.
Also surviving are three daughters, Janet Sue Hembree of Loogootee and Ruth Meyer and Sandy Bleemel, both of Jasper; three sons, Philip, Robert and Harold Street, all of Loogootee; 30 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Her husband, Hanly Adam, died in 1985.
Services will be at 2 p.m. EST Sunday at Mount Zion Wesleyan Church in Rutherford Township, with burial in South Martin Cemetery.
Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and from noon to service time at the church.

Charles Matthews
JASPER - Charles E. Matthews, 79, died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2001, at his home of congestive heart failure.
He was an insurance salesman in the Jasper area and in Naples, Fla., retiring in 1987.
He was a World War II Army veteran.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 673, American Legion Post Post 147 and Knight of Columbus.
Surviving are 10 daughters, Carolyn Wargel of Evansville, Florence Matthews of Indianapolis, Joyce Noya of Naples, Marian Jones of Lafayette, Martha Poehlein of Cannelton, Joan Wagner and Clare Weidenbenner, both of Ireland, Irene Hochgesang of Bargersville, Agnes Petrik and Elizabeth Crowley, both of Bonita Springs, Fla.; two sons, Michael and Edward, both of Jasper; two sisters, Ruth Tansy of Indianapolis and Wilma Thyen of Evansville; a brother, George of Huntingburg; 19 grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and 11 stepgreat-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Viola (Schmitt), in 1997, a daughter, Deborah, and two sons, Donald and Ronald.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. EST Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with burial in Fairview Cemetery, with military rites.
Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. today at Becher & Kluesner Downtown Chapel, with a prayer service at 4 p.m.

Jessie Pace
BOONVILLE - Jessie Virginia Pace, 91, died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2001, at St. Mary's Warrick.
She was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church and Lady Elks.
Surviving are a brother, Bill Robertson of Boonville; and a niece and nephews who cared for her, Doris Jean Smith, Jack Robertson, John Kelly and Patrick McGarvey. Her husband, Cledith C., died in 1968, and a son, Michael, died in 1987.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Koehler Funeral Home Boonville Chapel, with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery.

James Lance
BOON-VILLE - James E. Lance, 61, died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2001, at St. Mary's Warrick of a heart attack.
He retired as a supervisor in the finishing department in 1993 after 30 years with Alcoa Warrick Operations.
Surviving are his wife, Linda (Hodges); a daughter, Jullaine Gaston of Rockport; a son, James F. of Boonville; two sisters, Levaun Luff and Joyce Bufkin, both of Boonville; three brothers, Paul, Kenneth and Carl, all of Boonville; and three grandchildren, Elijah and Addison Lance and Amie Gaston.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Koehler Funeral Home Boonville Chapel, with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery.
