Lola Jean Parker Howard, 59, Nashville, Tenn., died on Saturday (Aug. 9. 2003) at her residence.

A memorial service is planned for a later time, with Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, 3009 Columbia Ave., Franklin, Tenn., in charge of arrangements.

Burial will be at Bear Creek Cemetery, Daisy, Ark.

Sister Isabelle Kestler

Sister Isabelle Kestler, O.L.V.M., a resident of Victory Noll, died at 4:25 p.m. Monday (Aug. 11, 2003) at the Holy Family Health Care Center at Victory Noll.

A vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Victory Noll Chapel, 1900 W. Park Dr. An additional hour of calling will begin at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. Thomas Fahey officiating. Burial will be at the Victory Noll Cemetery.

The McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Alice A. Quinn

Alice Alberta Crawford Quinn, 94, Sarasota, Fla., died at 9:20 p.m. Friday, July 18, 2003, at the Pines of Sarasota.

There are no calling hours. A graveside memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Covington Memorial Gardens in Fort Wayne. Rev. Russell Shook will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be made to the hospice of the donor’s choice.

The Roanoke Memorial Funeral Chapel, Roanoke, is in charge of arrangements.

Vance L. Pressler

Vance L. Pressler, 90, Bradenton, Fla., died May 14, 2003 at Blake Memorial Medical Center, Bradenton.

A memorial graveside service will be held at noon Saturday at the Markle Cemetery. Rev. Pam Princell will officiate.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southwest Florida, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238.

Florence M. Luley

Florence M. Luley, 94, a former resident of 209 Stadium Dr., died at 8:30 p.m. Thursday (Aug. 14, 2003) at the Tipton House.

Calling is from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church. Services will be at 11 a.m. at the church with Father Gary Sigler officiating.

Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Preferred memorials are to the Parkview Home Health and Hospice or St. Mary Catholic Church, both in care of the funeral home.

McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

E. L. Harris

E. L. Harris, 76, 491 McKeever St., Andrews, died at 8:52 a.m. Thursday (Aug. 14, 2003) at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Calling is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Deal-Robbins & Van Gilder Funeral Home, Andrews Chapel, 233 N. Main St., Andrews, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday.

Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Andrews.

Helen L. Farthing

Helen Louise Farthing, 84, Stilesville, died at 5:10 a.m. Thursday (Aug. 14, 2003) at the Hendricks Regional Hospital, Danville.

Calling is from 10 a.m. until the noon service Saturday at the Bailey-Love Mortuary. Rev. Stephen Stull will officiate.

Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Dr., Huntington, IN 46750.

Thurman Vance

Thurman Vance, 76, Huntington, died at 5 p.m. Saturday (Aug. 16, 2003) at his home.

Calling is from 10 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service Tuesday at the Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel. Pastor Brooks L. Fetters will officiate.

Interment will be at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.

Preferred memorials are to the Alzheimer’s Association, in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington, IN 46750.

Mildred Rheam

Mildred Rheam, 91, Anderson, died at 2:10 a.m. Friday (Aug. 15, 2003) at Countryside Manor Healthcare, Anderson.

Calling was 2-6 p.m. Sunday at the Ferguson Funeral Home, 201 W. Main St., Van Buren.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, with calling one hour prior to services, at the Hanfield United Methodist Church, 101N-400E, Marion. Rev. Fred Stayton and Rev. Tom Brodbeck will officiate.

Burial will be at the Van Buren Cemetery.

Memorials made be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Edward L. Pearson

Edward Lee Pearson, 85, of 1062 N. Market St., Andrews, died at 11:33 a.m. Sunday (Aug. 17, 2003) at his residence.

Calling is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Deal-Robbins & Van Gilder Funeral Home - Andrews Chapel, and for one hour before the 11 a.m. Wednesday funeral services at the Andrews Wesleyan Church. Rev. R.A. Deisler will preside at the service.

Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Andrews.

Preferred memorials are to Parkview Huntington Hospice, in care of Deal-Robbins & Van Gilder Funeral Home, 338 E. Washington St., Huntington, IN 46750.

Doris M. Hinen

Doris M. Hinen, 82, Green Street, died at 10:16 p.m. Thursday (Aug. 14, 2003) at Parkview Whitley Hospital, Columbia City.

Calling was 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, where funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday. Rev. Russell Buzzard will officiate.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. EDT Monday at the Scipio Cemetery, Hicksville, Ohio.

Howard D. Heater

Howard D. Heater, 68, Akron, Ohio, died Thursday (Aug. 14, 2003) in Akron.

There will be no calling hours or services. Cremation has taken place.

A celebration of Mr. Heater’s life will take place from 3-5 p.m. EDT Sunday, Aug. 31, at the Anthe’s Restaurant, 4315 Manchester Rd., Akron, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Special Olympics.

Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd., Akron, OH 44319 is in charge of arrangements.

Glenn R. Grossman

Glenn R. Grossman, 78, of 746S-600W, Andrews, died at 10 a.m. Sunday (Aug. 17, 2003) at his residence.

Calling is from 6-8 p.m. Monday and from 11 a.m. Tuesday until the 1 p.m. funeral services at the Bailey-Love Mortuary. Rev. David Arnold will officiate at the service.

Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Andrews.

Preferred memorials are to the donor’s choice.

Evelyn G. Gilbert

Evelyn Georgianna Gilbert, 98, a resident of the United Methodist Memorial Home in Warren since 1984, died at 12:15 p.m. Friday (Aug. 15, 2003) at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Calling was held from 9:30 a.m. until the 11:30 a.m. funeral service Monday at the United Methodist Memorial Home, 801 Huntington Ave., Warren. Rev. John Wallace will officiate. Burial was at the IOOF Cemetery, LaFontaine.
