Edwin D. Hoch, 71, of North Manchester and formerly of Wabash, died at 1:13 a.m. Wednesday (Oct. 8, 2003) at the Timbercrest Senior Living Center, North Manchester.

Calling will be 4-8 p.m. Friday at the DeLaughter-McKee Mortuary, North Manchester Chapel, 1401 Ind.-114W, North Manchester, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday.

Burial will be at Center Grove Cemetery, Lincolnville.

Preferred memorials are to the Timbercrest Senior Living Center, P.O. Box 501, North Manchester, IN 46962.

Joseph D. Coldren

Joseph David Coldren, 59, Columbia City, died at 7:35 a.m. Tuesday (Oct. 7, 2003) at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Calling is 2-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Dr., Columbia City. Services will be held at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Friday, with Pastor Jerry Blanchard and Pastor Jeff Spence officiating. Burial will be at the Jefferson Chapel (Sandbank) Cemetery in rural Whitley County, with graveside military services by American Legion Post 98.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Dunfee Missionary Mission Fund, the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes. Association, in care of the funeral home.

Mary Lou Carnes

Mary Lou Carnes, 83, formerly of Poplar Street, died at 12:58 a.m. Wednesday (Oct. 8, 2003) at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Calling will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, with the rosary recited at 8 p.m. Thursday. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. Friday at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.

Burial will be at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Alberta F. Sutton

Alberta F. Sutton, 96, died at 3 p.m. Wednesday (Oct. 8, 2003) at the United Methodist Memorial Home in Warren.

Calling is 2-8 p.m. Saturday at the Myers Funeral Home, Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee St., Markle, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday. Rev. Kaye Patton will officiate.

Interment will be at the Markle Cemetery.

Preferred memorials are to the Markle United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 378, Markle, IN 46770.

M. Edith Glick

M. Edith Glick, 91, Carmel, died at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday (Oct. 8, 2003) at Manor Care Nursing Home in Carmel.

Calling is 4-8 p.m. Friday at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Dr., Columbia City, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday. Pastor David D. Biberstein will officiate.

Burial will be at Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne.

Memorial gifts in memory of Mrs. Glick may be made to the donor’s choice of charities, in care of DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Dr., Columbia City, IN 46725.

Eula M. Myers

Eula M. Myers, 84, formerly of Huntington, died Sunday (Oct. 5, 2003) in Green Valley, Ariz., where she was a resident.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Green Valley Assistance Services Inc., 250 E. Continental Rd., Green Valley, AZ 85614; or to Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church, 75 Fairpoint Dr., Gulf Breeze, FL 32561.

Lucille K. Millner

Lucille K. Millner, 94, formerly of 903 W. Tipton St., died at 11:10 p.m. Thursday (Oct. 9, 2003) at The Heritage of Huntington.

Calling is 4-8 p.m. Sunday, with recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m., at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church, 903 N. Jefferson St., with Father Gary Sigler officiating.

Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Preferred memorials are to St. Mary Catholic Church for Masses, in care of McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington, IN 46750.

Helen A. Hopkins

Helen A. Hopkins, 86, 7725 Old West Wabash Rd., died died at 8:15 a.m. Thursday (Oct. 9, 2003) at Miller’s Merry Manor.

Calling is 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the Deal-Robbins & Van Gilder Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday.

Burial will be at the Riverside Cemetery, Andrews.

Curtis J. Denton

Curtis J. Denton, 44, 1228 E. State St., died at 11:30 p.m. Thursday (Oct. 9, 2003) at his home.

Calling is 2-8 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until the 10 a.m. funeral service Monday at the Bailey-Love Mortuary. Brother Paul Matherly will officiate.

Burial will be at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Marion.

Memorials may be made to Cancer Services for Huntington County, in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Dr., Huntington, IN 46750.

Trent Ackerman

Trent Ackerman, 80, Green Valley, Ariz., died Sept. 18, 2003, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Tucson.

There was no visitation or service.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Mr. Ackerman’s name to Shriners’ Crippled Children’s Hospital, in care of Sabbar Shrine Temple, 450 S. Tucson Blvd., Tucson, AZ 85716.

Louise S. Ward

Louise S. Ward, 25, 3049W-543S, died at 3:58 a.m. Friday (Oct. 10, 2003) at her home.

Calling is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Preferred memorials are gifts in the name of Mrs. Ward’s children, in care of McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home.

Sarah R. Holden

Sarah R. Holden, 78, 10 Orchard Lane, died at 10:04 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 11, 2002) at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial service at the Trinity United Methodist Church. Rev. David Arnold will conduct the memorial service.

Burial will be at the Eden Cemetery, Topeka.

Preferred memorials are to Trinity United Methodist Church.

The Bailey-Love Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Larry W. Gray

Larry W. Gray, 66, Dunkirk, died Saturday (Oct. 11, 2003).

Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the M.J.S. Mortuaries-D.W. Jones Chapel in Dunkirk, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Dunkirk, with military services by American Legion Post 227.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
