Lillie M. Bailey, 84, of West Haven Estates, Warsaw, and formerly of Huntington and Roanoke, died at 8 a.m. Saturday (Nov. 15, 2003) at her home.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Andrews Riverside Cemetery, with Pastor Jerry Feltz presiding.

Burial will be at Andrews Riverside Cemetery.

Preferred memorials are to the Kosciusko County Hospice Care or the Andrews Church of the Brethren, in care of Deal-Robbins and Van Gilder Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel., 338 E. Washington St., Huntington, IN 46750.

Keith R. Platt

Keith R. Platt, 75, 2991E-300S, died at 11:15 p.m. Saturday (Nov. 15, 2003) at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Calling will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Bailey-Love Mortuary, where services will be held at noon on Thursday with Gerald Moreland and Pastor Tom Mansbarger officiating. Burial will be at the Mt. Etna Cemetery.

Preferred memorials are to the Sumner Sheets Wildlife Museum in Huntington, the Markle Fish and Game Club, or the Kidney Dialysis Foundation, all in care of the Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Dr., Huntington, IN 46750.

Jay V. Wolfe Jr.

Jay Vance Wolfe Jr., 50, 1414 Cherry St., died at 4:13 p.m. Monday (Nov. 17, 2003) at his home.

Calling is from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Dr., Columbia City, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with Rev. Glen Robinson and Rev. Al Soultz officiating.

Burial will be at Thorn Cemetery, Ormas.

Elizabeth L. Willen

Elizabeth L. Willen, 83, Gas City, died at 3:05 a.m. Sunday (Nov. 16, 2003) at Marion General Hospital, Marion.

Calling is from 1-4 p.m. Friday at the Casey Lloyd Funeral Home, 2901 S. Washington St., Marion, were funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday with Rev. David Ward officiating.

Burial will be at Estates of Serenity, Marion.

Everett E. “Ole Shelly” Shelhamer, 93, Huntington, died at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday (Nov. 18, 2003) at Miller’s Merry Manor, Huntington.

Calling is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday with Rev. William Rapp officiating.

Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Ronald L. Harney, 50, rural Defiance, Ohio, died at 6:57 a.m. Tuesday (Nov. 18, 2003) at Defiance Regional Medical Center.

Calling will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home, 1753 S. Clinton St., Defiance.

Private funeral services will be held on Friday at the funeral home, with Rev. Ron Claussen officiating.

Burial will be at Riverview Memory Gardens, Defiance County, Ohio.

Alfons H. Poehler

Alfons Henry Poehler, 98, Huntington, died at 2:15 p.m. Wednesday (Nov. 19, 2003) at Miller’s Merry Manor in Huntington.

Calling is 2-6 p.m. Friday at the Bailey-Love Mortuary, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday. Rev. Richard Lofgren will officiate.

Burial will be at the Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.

Sue Smith

Sue Smith, 66, Huntington, died at 12:53 p.m. Thursday (Nov. 20, 2003) at Parkview Huntington Hospital.

Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday. Pastor Rob Stamper will officiate.

Interment will be at the Star of Hope Cemetery.

Dorothy C. Reed

Dorothy C. Reed, 84, a former resident of 803 Salamonie Ave., died at 3:25 a.m. Thursday (Nov. 20, 2003) at Parkview Huntington Hospital.

Calling will be held from 1 p.m. until the 3 p.m. funeral service Saturday at the Bailey-Love Mortuary. Pastor Charles Lyman will officiate.

Burial will be at the Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Dr., Huntington, IN 46750.

Mary L. Legg

Mary L. Legg, 82, Wabash, died at 2:29 p.m. Wednesday (Nov. 19, 2003) at the Americare Living Center of Wabash.

There will be no calling hours or services. Burial will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.

The Glancy Funeral Homes, H. Brown and Son Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.

Alexander Verba

Alexander Verba, 87, Whitley County, died at 3:50 p.m. Sunday (Nov. 21, 2003) at his home.

Calling is from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 207 N. Main St., Columbia City, and one hour prior to the 10:30 a.m. Wednesday funeral services at Troy Presbyterian Church, 6465 W. Lincolnway, Columbia City. Rev. Chris Thurow will officiate.

Burial will be at the Troy Presbyterian Cemetery.

Preferred memorials are to Troy Presbyterian Church Youth Ministries.

Carrie M. King

Carrie Magdalena King, 83, 5935E-1000S-92, Roanoke, died at 1:15 a.m. Monday (Nov. 24, 2003) at Miller’s Merry Manor in Columbia City, where she had been admitted last week.

Calling is from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Sr., Columbia City. Recitation of the rosary will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Roanoke, with Father Kenneth Sarazine officiating.

Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Roanoke.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church for Masses.

Ival E. Allen, 88, Markle, died at 4:45 p.m. Saturday (Nov. 22, 2003) at Markle Health Care.

Calling is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Myers Funeral Home, Markle Chapel, and from 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Markle Church of Christ, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday with Gerald O. Moreland officiating.

Interment will be at Markle Cemetery.
