Jessie Opal Kirkpatrick, 93, Fort Wayne, died Monday, Dec. 29, 2003, at Courtland Health and Rehabilitation in Fort Wayne.

Burial was at Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne. D.O. McComb and Sons Funeral Homes, Lakeside Park, Fort Wayne, was in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Jarred Lee Geiger Scholarship Fund at Huntington College.

Larry L. Robbins

Larry L. Robbins, 65, Roann, died at 2 a.m. Tuesday (Jan. 6, 2004) at Miller’s Merry Manor, Wabash.

Calling will be from 2-8 p.m. Thursday at the McDonald Funeral Home, Eddingfield Chapel, 231 Falls Ave., Wabash, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday with Pastor Rick Stone officiating. Burial will be at the Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash.

Preferred memorials are to the Roann United Methodist Church.

Norma Jane Miller

Norma Jane Miller, 74, 2363 E. State St., died at 6 a.m. Wednesday (Jan. 7, 2004) at her residence.

Mrs. Miller, a homemaker, attended the Gospel Community Church. She was a lifetime resident of Huntington County.

Calling will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Bailey-Love Mortuary, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday with Rev. Elzie Spencer officiating.

Preferred memorials are to Parkview Hospice or the Huntington County Humane Shelter in care of the Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Dr., Huntington, IN 46750.

William R. ‘Randy’ Harshman

Lt. Col. William Rand “Randy” Harshman, Ret., Navarre, Fla., died Tuesday (Jan. 6, 2004).

Calling will be from 9 a.m. until the 10:30 a.m. funeral service Monday at the Waters & Hibbert Funeral Home, 124 W. Gregory St., Pensacola, Fla. Rev. Mike Williams will officiate.

Interment with full military honors will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Restrict to Colon Cancer, 701 E. Cervantes St., Pensacola, FL 32501.

Robert Brennan

Long-time Huntington business leader Robert F. Brennan, 975 Oak St., died at 11:20 p.m. Wednesday (Jan. 7, 2004) at Parkview Huntington Hospital. He was 92.

Mr. Brennan was a co-owner and partner of Brennan Plumbing & Heating, which he founded with his twin brother Ray, for 60 years. He was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church.

He was a charter member of the Huntington Jaycees, a past member of the South Side Business Association, a past grand knight of the Huntington Knights of Columbus, past faithful navigator and oldest member of the Bishop Noll Assembly of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, and past state district deputy of the Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in St. Petersburg, Fla., and volunteered at Palms of Pasadena Hospital in South Pasadena, Fla.

He was born May 23, 1911 in Huntington, a son of Richard and Natalie Regelsberger Brennan. He married Mary Bromersback in Huntington on June 14, 1943. His wife survives.

Also surviving are two sons, John T. “Tim” Brennan, Huntington, and James P. Brennan, Warsaw; and two grandsons.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, his twin brother, Ray E. Brennan, and Richard Brennan; and two sisters, Josephine Egan and Elizabeth Macci.

Calling is 4-8 p.m. Friday, with recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m., at the Deal-Robbins & Van Gilder Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church with Father John Guimond and Father John Pfister officiating.

Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Preferred memorials are to Huntington Catholic School or SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, in care of Deal-Robbins & Van Gilder Funeral Home, 338 E. Washington St., Huntington, IN 46750.

Marsha S. Bolinger

Marsha S. Bolinger, 55, San Bernardino, Calif., died Tuesday (Jan. 6, 2004) at St. Bernardine Medical Center after an extended illness.

Cremation and a private memorial service will be held at a later date at the Veterans National Cemetery in Riverside, Calif.

Memorials can be made to the American Diabetes. Association, P.O. Box 2680, North Canton, OH 44720.

Elizabeth A. Allen

Funeral services for Elizabeth Allen were held at 10 a.m. Dec. 27 at the Irwin Chapel of Glen Carbon, Ill., with Rev. Jerry Kizzire officiating.

Interment was at St. John Cemetery, Granite City, Ill.

Elizabeth Ann Allen, 35, Granite City, died at 9:15 p.m. on Dec. 23, 2003 at Colonial Care Center, Granite City, after an extended illness.

Wayne A. Wechsler

Wayne A. Wechsler, 40, Fort Wayne, died at 3:30 p.m. Saturday (Jan. 10, 2004) in Warsaw.

Calling is 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Bailey-Love Mortuary, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Rev. Kathy Jones will officiate. Burial will be at Star of Hope Cemetery.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Wechsler Children’s Trust Fund, in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Dr., Huntington IN 46750.

Sellie B. Thomas Jr.

Sellie B. Thomas Jr., 79, died Thursday (Jan. 8, 2004) at Community Hospital in Anderson.

Calling will be from noon to 2 p.m. Monday at the Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service, 229 S. Rangeline Road, Anderson. Services will be held at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Monday with Rev. Michael Weber officiating. Burial will be in the Bronneberg Cemetery.

Preferred memorials are to the Chesterfield Christian Church.

Arley A. Rickert

Arley A. Rickert, 89, 1180W-500N, died at 2:45 a.m. Saturday (Jan. 10, 2004) at The Heritage of Huntington.

Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Bailey-Love Mortuary. Masonic services will be held at 5:30 p.m. Monday and will be followed by the Order of Eastern Star Twilight Service. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Evangelical United Methodist Church, with Rev. Marti Lundy officiating. Burial will be at the Mt. Hope Cemetery, with military graveside services by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2689.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Evangelical United Methodist Church memorial fund in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Dr., Huntington IN 46750.

Nellie A. Lightle

Nellie A. Lightle, 88, Montpelier, died at 10:37 p.m. Sunday (Jan. 11, 2004) at Blackford Community Hospital, Hartford City.

Calling will be from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Glancy Funeral Homes - Walker Chapel, 109 W. Windsor St., Montpelier, where funeral services will be held at 10-:30 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be at Van Buren Cemetery.

Theodore Kohr

Theodore “Ted” Kohr, 85, rural Andrews, died at 3:55 p.m. Friday (Jan. 9, 2004) at Norwood Nursing Center.

Calling was 2-8 p.m. Sunday at Deal-Robbins & Van Gilder Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, where services were held at 10 a.m. Monday. Pastor Bill Warax and Pastor Todd Winkler will officiate. Burial was at Riverside Cemetery in Andrews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Andrews Lions Club Ball Park Fund.

Esther E. Hurd

Esther E. Hurd, 91, a resident of Covington Manor Nursing Home in Fort Wayne, died at the home at 10:05 a.m. Friday (Jan. 9, 2004).

Calling is noon-2 p.m. Tuesday at Klaehn, Fahl and Melton Funeral Home, 420 W. Wayne St., Fort Wayne, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Lowell H. Dolby

Lowell H. Dolby, 73, 0005W-4000S, died at 2 a.m. Sunday (Jan. 11, 2004) at his home.

Calling is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Deal-Robbins & Van Gilder Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday. Rev. Russell Buzzard will officiate. Burial will be at the Lancaster Cemetery.
