Calling is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at DeLaughter-McKee Mortuary, North Manchester Chapel, 1401 Ind.-114W, North Manchester. Services will be held at the mortuary at 2 p.m. Thursday, with Pastor Robert Gonser officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, North Manchester.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Clear Creek Community Church in Huntington County.

Betty Jean Roberts, 69, a resident of Wells County, died at 7:40 a.m. Tuesday (Jan. 13, 2004) at the Markle Health Care Center, Markle.
Calling will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the Myers Funeral Home, Markle Chapel, and one hour prior the 1:30 p.m. Friday services at the Southwest Assembly of God Church, 7702 Smith Rd., Fort Wayne. Pastor Steve Walker will officiate at the service. Burial will be at the Horeb Cemetery, Wells County.

Edson W. Carroll, 95, a resident of the Timbercrest Senior Living Community, North Manchester, died at 6:15 p.m. Monday (Jan. 12, 2004) at the Timbercrest Health Care Center, North Manchester.
A rosary service will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday at St. Robert’s Catholic Church, 1203 Ind.-114E, North Manchester, followed by calling at the church until 11 a.m. Father Ron Ramenaden will officiate at a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be at the Fairview Cemetery, Servia.
The DeLaughter-McKee Mortuary, North Manchester Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
Marguerite E. Forrest
Marguerite E. Forrest, 86, a former resident of Wabash, died at 12:45 a.m. Tuesday (Jan. 13, 2004) at the Boca Raton Community Hospital in Boca Raton, Fla.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the auditorium at the Edgewater Pointe Estates in Boca Raton, Fla.
Calling is 4-6 p.m. Wednesday at the Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave., Wabash.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Bernard Catholic Church, Wabash, with Father Ron Ramenaden officiating.
Entombment will be at the Chapel of Remembrance Mausoleum in Memorial Lawns Cemetery
of Wabash.

Ruth Ellen Landis, 88, formerly of Huntington, died at 7:05 p.m. Sunday (Jan. 11, 2004) at the home of her daughter in Sweet, Idaho.
Calling will be held from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service Saturday at the Bailey-Love Mortuary. Rev. Steven Stull will officiate.
Burial will be at the Star of Hope Cemetery
in Huntington County.

Gretchen Holzhauer
Funeral services for Gretchen Holzhauer were held Jan. 4 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Washington, Ill. Cremation took place, and burial of ashes will be at a later date in Dwight, Ill.
Gretchen J. Holzhauer, 75, Washington, died at 8:10 p.m. on Dec. 31 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Ill.

Dalton A. Adams
Chance Ashton Adams, 13, and Dalton Allen Adams, 3, both of Hartville, Mo., died in a fire that destroyed their home on Tuesday (Jan. 13, 2004).
They are survived by their parents, David and Brenda Adams, Hartville; the paternal grandparents, Robert and Carolyn Hopkins, Warsaw; the maternal grandfather, Paul Tellef, Huntington; maternal grandmother and her husband, Janet and Ken Suter, Fort Wayne; and three sisters, Erica Loy, Brittany Loy and Cassandra Loy, all of Fort Wayne.
Calling was on Saturday at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, P.O. Boy 236, Hartville, MO 65667. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, in the Liberty Faith Church, Norwood, Mo., with Rev. Reg Kelly and Rev. Wayne Cannon officiating. Burial will be private.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Gardens of Memory Chapel, rural Huntington County, with Rev. Frank Gready officiating. Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2689 will perform the grave rite services. Burial will be at the Gardens of Memory.
