Calling is 3-5 and 6-8 p.m. today at the Keplinger Funeral Home, 509 N. High St., Hartford City. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. William Pieper officiating.
Interment will follow at Union Cemetery, Huntington County.

JD Steward, 84, 355 Columbia St., died Monday (March 22, 2004) at his home.
There are no calling hours. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory.

Sutton H. Newsome
Sutton Harrison Newsome, infant son of Steven M. and Stephanie M. Byall Newsome, Fort Gordon, Ga., died at 6 p.m. March 5, 2004, shortly after birth at the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta, Ga.
In addition to his father and mother, Sutton is survived by two brothers, Spenser S. Newsome and Sayre A. Newsome, and a sister, Schylar K. Newsome, all at home; his grandparents, Steven L. and Angeline K. Byall, Roanoke, and Taylor and Sharon K. Newsome, Markle; and great-grandmothers, Betty J. Byall and Mary Alice Goodrich, both of Roanoke.
A memorial Mass in Huntington will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 6, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 903 N. Jefferson St.
Carl E. ‘Gene’ Herndon
Carl E. “Gene” Herndon, 82, Indianapolis, died Tuesday (March 23, 2004) at Community South Hospital in Indianapolis.
Calling will be held from noon until the 2 p.m. funeral service Saturday at the McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St.
Burial will be at the Lancaster Cemetery, Huntington County.

J. Edward Roush, 83, Huntington, died at 12:12 p.m. Friday (March 26, 2004) at The Heritage of Huntington.
Calling is from 4-8 p.m. Monday and from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford St.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, with calling one hour prior to services, at the College Park United Brethren Church. Rev. Brent A. Birdsall and Dr. Raymond Waldfogel will officiate.
Interment will be at Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery.

Rose K. Pommer, 102, a former resident of Milwaukee, Wis., died at 4:10 p.m. Saturday (March 27, 2004) at the Holy Family Health Care Center at Victory Noll. She had lived at Victory Noll the past seven years.
A vigil service will be held at Victory Noll at 7:30 p.m. Monday, with visitation one hour prior to the service. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Victory Noll Chapel, with Father Thomas Fahey officiating. Interment will be at the Garden Mausoleum of Wisconsin Park Cemetery, Brookfield, Wis.

Graveside services will be held at noon Saturday at the Sacred Heart Church Cemetery, Marengo, Ill.
