Leslie L. Speck, 88, Fort Wayne, died Thursday (April 8, 2004) at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Calling is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Homes, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Rd., Fort Wayne, and one hour prior to the funeral services, which will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Michael Lutheran Church, 2131 Getz Rd., Fort Wayne.
Burial with military honors will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne.
Preferred memorials are to St. Michael Lutheran Church.

Nila Margaret Miller
Nila Margaret Miller, 92, a resident of Miller’s Merry Manor, Huntington, died there at 3:45 p.m. Friday (April 9, 2004).
Calling is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Deal-Robbins & Van Gilder Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday with Rev. Joe Sumwalt officiating.
Burial will be at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.

Hal R. Spahr
Hal R. Spahr, 54, Fort Wayne, died late last week at his home.
Calling is from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Myers Funeral Home, Markle Chapel, and one hour prior to the funeral services, scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday at Markle United Methodist Church, 145 W. Morse St. Rev. Kaye Patton will conduct the services.
Interment will be at the Markle Cemetery.
Preferred memorials are to the Ryan and Clint Spahr Education Fund or to Markle United Methodist Church, both in care of Myers Funeral Home, P.O. Box 403, Markle, IN 46770.

Richard C. Tardy Sr.
Richard C. “Dick” Tardy Sr., 65, 1236 Riverside Dr., died at 7:46 a.m. Tuesday (April 13, 2004) at Parkview Huntington Hospital.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Bailey-Love Mortuary, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday. Father Gary Sigler will officiate.
Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice of charity in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Dr., Huntington IN 46750.

Maudie A. Raver, 77, 175 Circle Dr., died at 12:58 p.m. Tuesday (April 13, 2004) at Parkview Huntington Hospital.
Calling will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Deal-Robbins and Van Gilder Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Melvin Lamphiear officiating. Burial will be in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery.

William A. Detamore
William A. Detamore, 80, died at 12:30 p.m. Monday (April 12, 2004) at the Bradner Village Health Care Center, Marion.
Calling is 4-7 p.m. Thursday and 1-2 p.m. Friday at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Rd., Marion. Services will be held at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Friday, with Bill Sparks officiating. Burial will be at Grant Memorial Park, Marion.

Dickie Dean Working, 70, Silver Lake, died Tuesday (April 13, 2004) at his home.
Calling is from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the Grandstaff-Hentgen Manchester Avenue Chapel, 1241 Manchester Ave., Wabash, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday.
Burial will be at Falls Cemetery, Wabash.

Gladys Whisenhunt, 88, died at 4:50 p.m. Tuesday (April 13, 2004) at Miller’s Merry Manor in Huntington, where she was a resident. She was formerly of Evergreen Road.
Calling is from 10 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service Saturday at the Deal-Robbins and Van Gilder Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel. Rev. Joe Sumwalt will officiate.
Burial will be at Star of Hope Cemetery.

Virginia Elizabeth Hoover, 84, formerly of Logansport, died at 4:04 a.m. Thursday (April 15, 2004) at Caring Hands Health Care Center, Peru.
Calling is 2-6 p.m. Sunday at the Fisher Funeral Chapel, 1801 Chase Rd., Logansport, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday. Rev. George Dunkel will officiate.
Interment will be at Ever Rest Memorial Park.

Carl M. Tobias, 69, Scottsburg, died at 4:10 p.m. Saturday (April 17, 2004) at his home.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Tuesday at the Collins Funeral Home, 465 W. McClain Ave., Scottsburg. Phil LaMaster will officiate.
Interment will be at the Spurgeon Cemetery, Austin.

Lieselotte “Jackie” Sanders, known to many as Oma, 78, 208 E. State St., died April 7, 2004 at her home.
A memorial service for Mrs. Sanders will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 23 at the LaFontaine Center, 208 E. State St., with Bill Warax officiating.

Dessie E. Ridge, 94, Huntington, died at 3:25 a.m. Sunday (April 18, 2004) at The Heritage of Huntington.
Calling will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Dr., Forest Lake, Minn. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Tom Datema officiating. Burial will be in the Linwood Cemetery, Anoka County, Minnesota.
Preferred memorials are to the American Bible Society or to Gideons International in care of the Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington, IN 46750.
The Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, was in charge of local arrangements.

Sarah A. McCord, 801 Huntington Ave., Warren, died at 9:45 a.m. Saturday (April 17, 2004) at the United Methodist Memorial Home in Warren.
There are no calling hours. Services will be held at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Huntington at 10 a.m. Friday, May 28, with Father Ron Rieder officiating.
Glancy Funeral Homes, H. Brown and Son Chapel, Warren, is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Lung Association of Northeast Indiana, 802 W. Wayne St., Fort Wayne IN 46802-3996.
