F. Dean Presser
F. Dean Presser, 73, Lapel, passed away Friday, February 10, 2006, at his residence following a two year illness.
He was born on December 9, 1932, in Lapel, Indiana to Ralph and Linnie (Stottlemyer) Presser.
He was a U. S. Army veteran and retired in 1992 from Delco Remy after over 42 years of employment.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Herron) Presser; two children, Joanne (husband, Kyle) Trimble of Lapel, and Jay Presser of Lapel; three granddaughters, Sabra Presser, Summer Presser, and Kylie Trimble; a niece, Lynn King of Alexandria; and a nephew, Robert Chaney of Carmel.
He was preceded in death by a son, James D. Presser in 1986.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Jerry Snyder officiating. Burial will be at the Brookside Cemetery at a later date.
Friends may call from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday at the Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Christian Center or Dove Harbor.

Donald L. Forrer
Donald L. Forrer, 72, Lapel, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2007, at Seton Specialty Hospital in Indianapolis following an extended illness.
He was born on July 10, 1934, in Cicero, Indiana to Harold and Elaine (Edwards) Forrer.
He graduated from Lapel High School in 1952.
Don retired in 1993 from Brockway Glass after 45 years of employment.
He had been a Horse and Pony 4-H leader in Madison County for many years, he was a member and past president of the Hoosier Palomino Association, and an over fifty-year member of the Quarter Horse Association. He was an avid Lapel Bulldog fan.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara L. (Smith) Forrer; three children, Brad (wife, Tammy) Forrer of Anderson, Bruce Forrer of Anderson, and Bridget (husband, Roy) Parmley of Noblesville; his father, Harold N. Forrer of Lapel; eight grandchildren, Janica and Jenae Forrer, Baylee Lawther, Brandon, Bradley, and Brock Forrer, Meggan and Cody Cobb; two brothers, Merrit "Toot" (wife, Janet) Forrer of Lapel, and Larry "Butch" Forrer of Chicago; four sisters, Shirley (husband, Tony) Buffone of Anderson, Joan (husband, Eddie) Fisher of Frankton, Rita Williams of Frankton, and Carolyn Wix of Tennessee; several nieces and nephews; and many close friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother; and a sister, Brenda Welch.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Saturday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Evan Lash officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.

Donna C. Rockhold
Donna C. Rockhold, 89, Lapel, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2005, at Manor Care Health Services in Anderson following an extended illness.
She was born on March 29, 1916, in Lapel, Indiana to Dan and Nellie (Schuyler) Herron.
She was a 1934 Lapel High School graduate and worked as a grocery cashier at the former Cascadden's Grocery and Yancy's Market in Lapel.
She was a member of the Ford Street United Methodist Church in Lapel.
She is survived by three children, Steve (wife, Janet) Rockhold of Lapel, Stan Rockhold of Anderson, and Wilma Gruel of Frankfurt; two sisters Ruth Troyer of Upland, and Barbara (husband, Dean) Presser of Lapel; one brother, Harry "Hap" (wife, Henrietta) Herron of Fishersburg; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Rockhold, in 1988.
Graveside services will be held at 12:00 noon Friday at Brookside Cemetery in Lapel with Rev. Richard Cole officiating.
Friends may call from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday at the Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 1900 Richmond Road, Lexington, KY 40502 or the charity of the donor's choice.

Dorothy Marie Shetterly
Dorothy Marie (Davis) Shetterly, 88, Anderson, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2006, at Saint John's Health System in Anderson after suffering a stroke.
She was born on September 13, 1917, in Indianapolis to Ethan Allan Davis and Clara Nicholas Calloway. As a child, she lived in Indianapolis and St. Petersburg, Florida where she graduated from high school. As a young girl, she studied ballet and performed at Garfield Park in Indianapolis.
On December 5, 1936, she began a 62-year marrige to William Harold "Sam" Shetterly and moved to Lapel where she and her husband raised their three children. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Lapel and the former Lapel Order of Eastern Star. She worked briefly at Delco-Remy. Following the death of her husband in 1999, she and her son, Stephen, moved to Crown Point Condominiums in Anderson.
Dorothy, always a kind and gentle soul, devoted her life to her husband and family. Her beautiful smile and friendliness were easy to return.
She enjoyed going to the farm outside of Lapel with Sam to gather vegetables from their garden to give to friends and family. She would exhibit her caring nature as she provided a loving home for their dogs and cats.
She is survived by three children, Suzanne (husband, Royce) Hagan of Pendleton, Stephen A. Shetterly of Anderson, and, Donald Lynn Shetterly (Marilyn Seybert) of Anderson; three granddaughters, Dawn (husband, Jeff) Evans of Luddington, MI, Anne Hagan (husband, Kevin Kilcoyne) of Philadelphia, PA, and Michelle (husband, Alan) Short of Huntington; six great-grandchildren, Ryan, Katie, and Jordan Evans, Gabrielle Kramer, and Alexandra and Rebecca Short; one sister-in-law, Helen Shetterly of Pendleton; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two brothers-in-law, Raymond "Ferp" Shetterly and Norman Shetterly.
Services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Clifford Asklock officiating. Entombment will be at the Brookside Cemetery in Lapel.
Friends may call from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday at the Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Stroke Association, Humane Society of Madison County, or Countryside Animal Rescue.

Edward E. "Jack" Jones
Edward E. "Jack" Jones, 84, Noblesville, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2005, at Riverview Hospital Noblesville following a sudden illness.
He was born on May 4, 1921, in Washington Courthouse, Ohio the son of Thomas and Nora (Bennett) Jones.
He retired in 1975 from Delco Remy and had then worked for ten years at the Noblesville Wal-mart. He had pastored for over 50 years and was an evangelist for more than half that time. He also farmed for many years.
He was a member of the Central Community Chapel in Anderson where he was once the pastor.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jones; four children, Edward (wife, Glenda) Jones, Jr. of Mayfield, KY, Patsy (husband, Bill) Peterson of Columbus, OH, Norma Saathoff of Anderson, and Christopher Jones of Noblesville; a half-brother, Roger Jones of Ohio; twelve grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 56 years, Maxine Sallee Jones in 2003.
Services will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Richard "Dick" Gregg officiating. military graveside rites and burial will be at the Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Fishers.
Friends may call from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday at the Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel.

F. Eileen Sylvester
F. Eileen Sylvester, 82, Lapel, passed away peacefully with her daughters and a sister at her bedside Tuesday, November 29, 2005, at Community Hospital in Anderson following an extended illness.
She was born on July 31, 1923, in Madison County, Indiana to Raymond and Blanche (Rumler) Davis.
She retired in 1988 from the Milk Barn.
She had been Indiana State president of the American War Mothers from 1981 to 1983. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, member and past president of the Lapel American War Mothers, member of the Naomi Circle, and she helped sew with R. S. V. P.
She is survived by two daughters, Toni Sylvester, and Cindy (husband, Derrell) Enyeart both of Lapel; a brother, Raymond Davis of Grand Island, FL; two sisters, Helen Feight of Frankton, and Waneta Crooks of Anderson; four grandchildren, Brad Zehrung, Marla Sims, Mathew Enyeart, and Miracle Enyeart; six great-grandchildren; and a son, Allen Zehrung.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Kenneth Davis.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Evan Lash officiating. Burial will be at the Mendon Cemetery in Pendleton.
Friends may call from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday at the Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel.
The Lapel American War Mothers will conduct a memorial service at 4:30 PM Friday at the funeral home.

F. Jean Brown
F. Jean Brown, 77, Anderson, passed away Friday, December 31, 2004, at Brandywine Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Greenfield following a brief illness.
She was born on January 14, 1927, in Madison County, Indiana to Norman and Ada (Markle) Scott.
She retired in 1987 from the U. S. Post Office and she had worked in post offices in Lapel and Florida. She had established the Merle Norman Cosmetic Studio in the original Ayr-Way shopping center.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Lapel, the Madison County Shrine Club Ladies Auxiliary, the Lapel American Legion Auxiliary and she was a volunteer at Community Hospital in Anderson.
She is survived by two sons, Brock (wife, Rhonda) Brown of Fortville, and Brad (wife, Bonnie) Brown of Elwood; two brothers, Larry (wife, Laurie) Scott of Anderson, and Bill (wife, Leda) Scott of Indianapolis; one sister, Judy (husband, Gayl) Sheets of Lapel; five grandchildren, Brittany Brown, Zachary Brown, Brandy Brown, Mandy Brown, and Kelsey Brown; and one great grandson, Joel Brown.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Brown in 2001.
Services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Evan Lash officiating. Burial will be at the Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.
Friends may call from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday at the Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Music Appreciation Fund at Trinity United Methodist Church, the Lapel American Legion, or the Madison County Shrine Club Van Fund.
