Monte J. McClintick
Monte J. McClintick, 50, Anderson, passed away Sunday, September 5, 2004, in New Castle of a sudden illness.
He was born on June 23, 1954, in Anderson, Indiana to Mark and Joan (Martin) McClintick.
He was a 1972 graduate of Pendleton Heights High School and he owned and operated Personal Medical Escort Service.
He was a member of the Madison County Equestrian Club, the Lapel Masonic Lodge No. 625, Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis, and the Lapel Sons of the American Legion.
He is survived by two children, Carrie (husband, Josh) Dutton, and Matt McClintick both of Anderson; his mother, Joan Breese of Pendleton; his father, Mark (wife, Lorraine) McClintick of Alva, FL; a half-sister, Becky McClintick of Ocala, FL; a step-sister, Toni (husband, Lee) Johnson of Indianapolis; and a step-brother, Rory Breese of Fort Wayne.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. John Pflum officiating. Burial will be at the Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.
Friends may call from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday at the Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel. A Masonic Memorial Service will be held at 6:30 PM Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Madison County Equestrian Club.

Landon L. Peckens
Landon L. Peckens, 19, Anderson, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2004, at his residence.
He was born on April 08, 1984 in Noblesville, Indiana to Sandy Peckens and Mark Michael.
He was a 2002 graduate of Lapel High School.
He is survived by mother, Sandy Peckens of Anderson; his father and step mother, Mark and Anna Michael of Elwood; five brothers and sisters, Jessica Michael of Elwood, Farron Payne of Elwood, Gus Hunnicutt of Elwood, Marlee Michael of Elwood, and Alicia Hendricks of Anderson; his maternal grandparents, Wilbur and Mary Peckens of Anderson; and his paternal grandmother, Lois Stopper of Madison.
Services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday at Lone Oak Wesleyan Church in Anderson with Rev. Jerry Snyder officiating. Burial will be at the Perkinsville Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM Sunday at the Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel.

Lois M. Hughes
Lois M. Hughes, 87, Anderson, went to be with the Lord on March 18, 2005, at Community Northview Care Center in Anderson following an extended illness..
She was born on March 10, 1918, in Anderson, Indiana the daughter of Charles and Maude (Garrison) Hoover.
She was a life long resident of the Anderson area and graduated form Anderson High School in 1936. Shortly after this, she met and married J. Robert Hughes in their first home located on 2705 Nichol Avenue in Anderson. They later moved to Laurel Lane where they have resided for the last 38 years. She and her husband just celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary in 2004.
Lois retired from National City Bank after 20 years of faithful service in 1985. She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church for many years. During this time she served as the pianist for the primary department for several years and was also active in several other church groups. Later she became a member of Southern Heights Christian Church and continued her active particiaption within her new church home.
She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Survivors include her loving husband, J. Robert Hughes whom she married December 10, 1938; one son, Thomas E. Hughes of Anderson; three grandchildren, Robert C. (wife, Jina) Hughes, David T. Hughes, and Elissa M. (husband, Valentin) Avina; and four great-grandchildren, Kami and Devon (children of David) and Marisa and Valentin, Jr. (children of Elissa).
Services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel. Burial will be at the Brookside Cemetery in Lapel.
Friends may call from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday at the Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel.

Libby T. Lynch
Libby T. Lynch, 86, Anderson, passed away Friday, January 27, 2006, at Saint John's Health System Anderson after a brief illness.
She was born on January 27, 1920, in New Market, Tennessee to Charles and Martha (Houser) Thomas. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by three daughters, Jo (husband, Mike) Baldwin of Anderson, Aneta (husband, Bob) Taylor of Fairmont, and Dee (husband, Andy) Morgan of Lapel; a brother, Bob (wife, Helen) Thomas of Talbott, TN; four grandchildren, Debbie Baldwin of Anderson, Nick (wife, Stephanie) Baldwin of Anderson, Will Morgan of Lapel, and Jackson Morgan of Lapel; three great-grandchildren, Dustin, Justin, and Brooke Baldwin all of Anderson; several nieces and nephews; and a special family friend, Marge Barnes of Alexandria.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Lynch' a grandson, Robbie Taylor; one sister, E. Dee Narvell; and two brothers, John and Nile Thomas.
Graveside services and burial will be held at a later date at the Shady Grove Cemetery in Dandridge, Tennessee.
Friends may call from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday at the Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Arthritis Foundation, 8660 Guion Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 46268.

Karen Wood
Karen Wood, 60, Noblesville, passed away Monday, February 21, 2005, at Saint Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis following an extended illness.
She was born on December 12, 1944, in Noblesville, Indiana to Hubert and Wilma (White) Snyder.
She retired in 1997 from General Motors as a corporate licensed customs broker.
She was a member of the New Life Community Church in Noblesville, the National Association of Professional Women and was honored in Who's Who of American Business Women. She was active with the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Wood of Noblesville; two brothers, Jerry (wife, Sue) Snyder of Lapel, and Terry (wife, Sherri) Snyder of Noblesville; two step-sons, Bradley E. (wife, Joy) Wood of Kokomo, and Gregory G. Wood of Kokomo; an aunt, Donna (husband, Joe) Ambrose of Oceanside,CA; three grandchildren, Bryce Wood, Blaise Jones, and Dawson Jones; six nieces and nephews, Deborah Flanigan, Vicki (husband, Ed) Rockhill, Phil Snyder, Dana (husband, Neal) Harper, Nick (wife, Jenise) Snyder, and Lana (husband, Sterling) Thompson; and best friend, Lissa (husband, Duane) Julius.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. James Walters officiating. Burial will be at the Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.
Friends may call from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday at the Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 6030 West 62nd Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46278 for Breast Cancer Research.

Jody M. Smith, Sr.
Jody M. Smith, Sr., 67, Anderson, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2007, at Saint Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis following a brief illness.
He was born on May 24, 1939, in Lapel, Indiana, to Everett and Katherine (Lowe) Smith.
He graduated from Lapel High School in 1957. And he served in the Indiana National Guard.
Jody retired in 2007 from Delphi after over 43 years of employment in both Plant Protection and Production.
He was a member of the Lapel Masonic Lodge No. 625, the Lapel American Legion Post 212, the Anderson Redmen Lodge, and the Lapel Eagles Aerie
He is survived by his wife, Lora Lea Smith; three children, Floyd (wife, Jani) Hall of Anderson, Nancy (husband, Tim) Flaugher of Tampa, FL, and Jody M. Smith, Jr. of Anderson; two sisters, Mavis Harger of Noblesville, and Neaota Griffith of Tipton; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, T. B. Smith.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Richard Cole officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel where the Lapel American Legion Post will conduct military graveside rites.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel. A Masonic memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 pm Wednesday by the Lapel Masonic Lodge.
Memorial contributions may be made to Saint Vincent's Hospital.

Jeff L. Earlywine
Jeff L. Earlywine, 41, Pendleton, passed away Friday, March 11, 2005, at his mother's home in Noblesville following an extended illness.
He was born on August 4, 1963, in Anderson, Indiana to Donald and Marcia (Elsten) Earlywine.
He had been employed by Burco, Sinclair Pizza and Donatos all in Noblesville.
He is survived by his mother, Marcia Earlywine of Noblesville; one brother, David Earlywine of Noblesville; one sister, Robin Stephens of Noblesville; one niece, Shawn Earlywine; two nephews, Wayne Stephens, and Cody Stephens; two great nieces, Tabitha Surface and Shelby Brooks; one great nephew, Jacob Surface; and his dog Ace.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Earlywine and a brother, Dale Earlywine.
Services will be held at 7:00 PM Monday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Gary Elsten officiating. Burial will be at the Brookside Cemetery, Lapel at a later date.
Friends may call from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Monday at the Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel.

Irene I. Bemish
Irene I. Bemish, 98, Anderson, passed away Friday, September 17, 2004, at Community Hospital in Anderson following an extended illness.
She was born on May 10, 1906, in Dunkirk, Indiana to Lionel and Zelumia (Neighbors) Shouse.
She was a member of the South Anderson United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one son, Donald Bemish of Anderson; eleven grandchildren, Mike Summers, Kathy McDermott, Kenneth Summers, Monty Summers, Ted Summers, Steve Bemish, Sharon Perkins, Susan Ramsey, Terri Nolan, Jeannie Chapple, and John D. Bemish; twenty-eight great grandchildren; and twenty-five great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Paul Bemish in 1975; a son, Paul Bemish, Jr. in 1996; a daughter, Joan Burress in 2000; and two grandchildren, Dennis Bemish and Susie Halsell.
Services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. John Hackney officiating. Burial will be at the Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.
Friends may call from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday at the Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel.

Ira M. Nunley
Ira M. Nunley, 92, Pendleton, passed away Thursday, March 11, 2004, at Rawlins House in Pendleton following a brief illness.
He was born on July 13, 1911, in Kennit, AR to Frank and Dolly (Walker) Nunley.
He retired in 1975 from Guide Lamp after 25 years of employment and was a member of the Columbus Avenue Church of Christ.
He is survived by four children, Ron (wife, Joyce) Nunley of Lapel, Darlene (husband, Herbert) Likens of Anderson, Gary (wife, Marta) Nunley, and Terry (wife, Deborah) Nunley both of Pendleton; nine grandchildren, Chris Nunley of Crown Point, Chad Nunley of Martinsville, Wesley Likens of Frankton, Matthew Likens, Addison Nunley, Brennan Nunley, Heidi Moore, Trent Miller, and Tessa Nunley all of Pendleton; eleven great-grandchildren, Sarah, Allison, Hannah, Meredith, Seth, and Rachel Nunley, Taylor, Shelby, Madison, Adam, and Joshua Likens.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rosemary (Lambert) Nunley in 1986; two brothers; and four sisters.
Services will be held at 12:00 PM Monday at Columbus Avenue Church of Christ in Anderson with Rev. Charlie Soden officiating. Burial will be at the Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.
Friends may call from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM Monday at the Columbus Avenue Church of Christ in Anderson.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Rawlins House or the charity of the donor's choice.
