Donn Harrison
Donn Harrison, 69, Anderson, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2007, at Rawlins House in Pendleton following a brief illness.
He was born on October 23, 1937, in Anderson, Indiana to Dolphus and Bessie (Pettigrew) Harrison.
He was a U. S. Army veteran.
Donn retired in 2003 from Ford Motor Company in Indianapolis after over 42 years of employment.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann (Barbee) Harrison Barbee, of Pendleton; two sons, Donald Curtis Harrison of Anderson and Douglas Harrison of Indianapolis; two grandchildren, Michael Terrance Harrison and Nancy Elizabeth Harrison both of Indianapolis; one sister, Rosemary Watkins of Blanchester, Ohio; one half-brother, Mike Harrison of Atlanta; and one half-sister, Marilyn K. Reson of Anderson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Nancy Marie Harrison.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, March 3, 2007, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Harold Scott officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
Leon "Bud" Kern, Jr.
Leon "Bud" Kern, Jr., 55, Lapel, passed away Monday, July 16, 2007, at his residence following a brief illness.
He was born on August 12, 1951, in Port Allegany, Pennsylvania to Leon and Martha (Cole) Kern, Sr.
He graduated from Smethport Jr./Sr. High School.
Leon he had been a driver for Waste Management for 19 years.
He is survived by five children, Patrick Kern of Lapel, Andrew Kern of Lapel, Justin Hults of Winter Park, Colorado, Jennifer LeClerc of Anderson, and Jake Kern of Tampa, FL; one brother, Jim Kern of Utah; three sisters, Marian Mitchell of Olean, NY, Grace Johnson of Kane, PA, and Sharon Lemage of Marshburg, PA; four grandchildren, Samantha Kern, Max Kern, Hayden LeClerc, and Kylee Hults.
He was preceded in death by, his parents; and one daughter, Micha Hults.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm Thursday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
Private family graveside rites will be held at Brookside Cemetery
in Lapel.
Miyuki Smith
Miyuki "Miki" Smith, 72, Anderson, passed away Sunday, December 19, 2004, at Community Hospital in Anderson following a brief illness.
She was born on March 26, 1932, in Nagasaki, Japan.
She is survived by her husband, Clifford Smith; one daughter, Rhesa (husband, John) Mickler of Carmel; two sons, John Smith of Anderson, and Jeffery (wife, Char) Smith of Olympia, WA; five grandchildren, Lindsay Smith, Brittney Smith, Tony Brown, Mackie Smith, and Taylor Smith; and four sisters, Haruno, Tsuyako, Chieko, and Ayako all of Japan.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Neal Brown officiating. Burial will be at the Brookside Cemetery
in Lapel.
Friends may call from 9:00 AM until the time of the service Wednesday at the Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel.

Doyle L. Castor
Doyle L. Castor, 58, Anderson, passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2007, at Community Hospital of Anderson following an extended illness.
He was born on November 16, 1948, in Noblesville, Indiana to Verlin and Dorothy (Calvin) Castor.
Doyle owned and operated Castor Seal Coating and he also had owned his own trucking company, Castor Trucking.
He is survived by two children, Leila Castor of Anderson, and Jody Castor of Anderson; one sister, Connie Dickson of Huntington; one grandson, Brandon Leisure; and one niece, Shelly Eastman of Huntington.
He was preceded in death by, his parents.

in Noblesville.
Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm Saturday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.

Loraine McClintick
Loraine O’Connor McClintick, 77, Ocala, Florida passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2007, at Hawthorne Village in Ocala following an extended illness.
She was born on March 21, 1930, in Bonnie Blue, Virginia to Ernest and Marie (Tredway) Wilson.
Loraine had been employed at the former Emge plant in Anderson and later owned and operated a motel in Sanibel Island, Florida.
She is survived by her husband, Mark Eugene McClintick; one daughter, Rebecca McClintick of Citra, FL; two grandchildren, Carrie (husband, Josh) Dutton of Anderson, and Matt (wife, Holly) McClintick of Anderson; and one great-granddaughter, Madeline Dutton.
She was preceded in death by, her parents; her first husband, George O'Connor; and a step-son, Monte McClintick.
Funerals will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Pastor Dawn Cuthbert officiating. Burial will follow in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.

Rebecca Sue Hunter
Rebecca Sue Hunter, 57, Anderson, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2007, at Community Hospital of Anderson following sudden illness.
She was born on September 26, 1950, in Noblesville, Indiana to Gerald and Emma (Day) Eiler.
She graduated from Lapel High School in 1968.
She is survived by her husband, Terry L. Hunter; two daughters, Teresa S. (husband, Marion) Collins of Live Oak, FL, and Debra Mullins of Perkinsville; three sisters, Barbara (husband, Arnie) Cross of Markleville, Laura Mae (husband, Robert) Harless of Markleville, and Marjorie Turner of Greenfield; two brothers, Stephen (wife, Ellen) Eiler of Albuquerque, NM, and Kenneth Eiler of Markleville; seven grandchildren, David Collins, Sarah Collins, Aaron Collins, Harley King, Lexi Mullins, Leeha Mullins, and James Robert Mullins, Jr; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by, her parents; one daughter, Amy Lynn Hunter; one brother, Olan Jerry Eiler; and one sister, Donna Kay Eiler.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, November 26, 2007, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Mark Helm officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm Sunday, November 25, 2007, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.

Fredonna L. Clouse
Fredonna L. Clouse, 71, Lapel, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2006, at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville following an extended illness.
She was born on September 15, 1934, in Plymouth, Indiana to Bryan and Lavina (Trump) Lemert.
She graduated in 1952 from Lapaz High School and enjoyed attend her 50th class reunion.
She served the Town of Lapel as Clerk/Treasurer for 16 years and prior to that, she worked at the Madison County courthouse.
She was a member of the Lapel American Legion Auxillary for 27 years.
She is survived by three children, Steve (wife, Mary Jane) Clouse of Lapel, Dick (wife, Donna Kay) Clouse of Lapel, and Sandra Miller of Anderson; six grandchildren, Michelle Hobbs, Matthew Clouse, Melissa Bannon, Mike Clouse, Chris Rangel, and Jessica Rangel; seven great-grandchildren; and special friends, Joyce and Don Helterbrand.
She was preceded in death by her husband, C. Wayne Clouse, in 1999; and a grandson, Jason Faust in 1996.
Private graveside services and burial will be held at Brookside Cemetery
in Lapel.
There will be no visiting.

Avis I. Redmond
Avis I. Redmond, 87, Brownsville, TX, passed away Monday, February 2, 2004, at her residence following an extended illness.
She was born on December 11, 1916, in Jennings County, Indiana to Lota M. and M. Pearl Ralstin.
On November 14, 1936, she married John W. Redmond who preceded her in death on August 16, 2000.
She lived a major portion of her life in Madison County and was an active leader in church, missions, home economics, 4-H, and other volunteer activities. She continued her education through Indiana University adult programs.
She had been a member of Elwood East Main Street Christian Church, East Lynn Christian Church, and Markleville East Christian Church while living in Madison County.
She is survived by three daughters, Joan (husband, Forest) Maddy of Brownsville, TX, Joyce Vickery of New Castle, and Bonnie (husband, Danny) Barmes of Lapel; thirteen grandchildren, Faith Maddy of St. Louis, MO, Brian Maddy (children, Kaylee and Ethan) of Oklahoma City, OK, Mark Maddy of Brownsville, TX, Stephen (wife, Barbara) Robinson [children, Audrey Avis (husband, Jose) Arias, Joshua, and Shauna] of New Castle, Donald (wife, Ruth) Robinson (children, Donald, III, Daniel, and Michael) of New Castle, Michael Robinson (child, Brooke) of Frankfurt, Christopher (wife, Dana) Wallace (children, William, Rachel, and Joyce) of Florida, Lora West (children, Jayda, Jacob, and Jordan) of New Castle, George (wife Betty) Vickery (children, Johnna and Daniel) of California, Chrissy Boggs (children, Marie and Michael) of California, Dana (husband, Christopher) Kluemke (children, Mathias and Joseph) of Lynn, Daniel (wife, Jamie) Barmes (child, Ryan) of Cicero,and Dama Barmes of Lapel; one great-great granddaughter, Juliana Arias; two sisters, Maxine Gillespy and Eva Rike; one brother, Les (wife, Joan) Ralstin; two sisters-in-law, Grace Ralstin and Virginia Ralstin.
Services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Lapel with the Rev. Evan Lash officiating. Burial will be in Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM Sunday at the Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, Lapel.
Iona M. Byer
Iona M. Byer, 88, Anderson, passed away Monday, March 7, 2005, at Saint John's Medical Center in Anderson following an extended illness.
She was born on December 24, 1916, in Wauchula, FL to Norman and Ethel (Hathaway) Tyler and she came to Anderson in 1929.
She was a 1935 graduate of Anderson High School and was a member of the Prairie Baptist Church for several years before transferint to the Ford Street United Methodist Church in Lapel.
She retired form Delco Remy after 30 years of employment.
She was married to Forrest Byer on December 31, 1948, and they lived in Noblesville until 1979 when they moved to Fort Myers, Florida and spent summers in Anderson.
She is survived by two step-sons, Robert Byer of Ocala, FL, and Richard (wife, Barbara) Byer of Pendleton; five grandchildren, Chris (wife, Tina) Byer of Markleville, Tim (wife, Sherri) Byer of Noblesville, Penny (husband, Gary) Gustin of Pendleton, Lori (Doug) Sparks of Markleville, and Bonnie (husband, Tim) Bell of Denver, CO; and ten great-grandchildren, Nathan Byer, Destiny Byer, Jason Byer, Jonathan Byer, Kenzie Gustin, Kolby Gustin, Conner Gustin, Aaron Brizendine, Austin Brizendine, and Jessica Bell.
She was preceded in death in by her husband Forrest; her parents; one brother; one sister; her daughter-in-law, Joyce Byer; and several brothers and sisters-in-law.
Services will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Mark Helm officiating. Burial will be at the Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
