Richard Belford
Former Boonville resident Richard F. Belford died on Aug. 4 at the Village of Westerville in Westerville, Ohio. He was 84.
He was born on Dec. 5, 1917 in Somerset, Ohio. Richard attended Indiana University in Bloomington and graduated from Cincinnati University, Cincinnati, Ohio with a degree in Mortuary Science. He was the owner and operator of Belford Flying Service of Perry County, Ohio and owner and operator of Chute-Belford Funeral Home in New Lexington, Ohio. He retired from Belford Tire Center, Inc., of Westerville, Ohio. Richard was a member of the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Westerville, Ohio, a WW II Disabled Veteran, a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Elks Club, the Rotary Club and the Lions Club.
Richard is survived by a daughter, Dr. Elizabeth Belford of Fayetteville, N.C.; sons, Richard F. Jr. and Diana Belford of Westerville, Ohio, Jeffrey and Connie Belford of Fountain Hills, Ariz., Gregory J. and Diane Belford of Cedar Park, Texas and John Christopher and Carol Belford of Gahanna, Ohio; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren; sisters, Virginia Eberhard of Boonville, Barbara and Thomas Tucker of Greensboro, N.C. and Betty and Charles Moser of Tarpon Springs, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Cele Lennon Belford and a daughter, Mary Ellen "Molly" Belford O'Kane.
A Memorial Mass was celebrated at the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Westerville, Ohio on Thursday, Aug. 7 with burial at the New Lexington Cemetery
in New Lexington, Ohio.
Arrangements were handled by the Moreland Funeral Home in Westerville, Ohio and Bradley's Colonial Chapel in Boonville handled local arrangements.
Evertt Roettger
Chandler resident Evertt F. "Ace" Roettger died Sunday, Nov. 3, at 6:25 p.m. at his home. He was 74.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Dorothy; a son, Duane Roettger of Newburgh; two daughters, Ginger Wilcox of Boonville and Terra Nord of Chandler; a granddaughter; a great-granddaughter; three sisters, Gladys Lunkenhiemer of Evansville, Grace Schleg of Evansville and Wanda Harness of California; a brother, Elmer Roettger of Evansville; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Nov. 7, at Koehler Funeral Home-Perigo Chapel. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, with military rites by the Retired Veterans Memorial Club of Evansville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Vista Care Hospice.
William "Bill" Marts
Boonville resident William "Bill" Marts, died Wednesday, April 16, at the Deaconess Hospice Care Center in Evansville. He was 74.
Bill was a retired truck driver for J.H. Rudolph and member of Teamsters Local 215. He was also a U.S. Army
Korean War Veteran. Bill attended Boonville Wesleyan Church where he was active on Board of Trustees until his illness.
Two brothers, Lawrence and Edgar Laverne Marts and one sister, Doris Wilson preceded him in death.
Bill is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marlene (Brooks) Marts of Boonville; one daughter and her husband, Shannon and Ron Martindale of Shelbyville; one son and his wife, Timothy Allen and Laura Marts of Petersburg, Ky.; a brother, Harold Ray Marts of Charleston; three grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at the Boonville Wesleyan Church on Saturday, April 19 at 10:30 with Rev. Everett Freels and Rev. Ed Ames officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetary in Chandler with military rites by the Warrick County Veterans Memorial Services. Visitation was held for friends and family at the Koehler Funeral Home-Boonville Chapel on Friday, April 18, from 2 p.m.-8 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the Deaconess Hospice Care Center of Evansville.
Margarthea Minerve (Lutz) Padgett
Former Boonville resident M. Minerva (Lutz) Padgett died on Saturday, May 31 at Apple Valley Care Center in Apple Valley, Calif. She was 93.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William L. (Bill) Padgett, Jr.
Surviving are her daughter, Phyllis L. (Padgett) Tennis; two sons, Billy and Walter Padgett; a brother, George A. Lutz, Jr.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
There were no services held and the body will be cremated.
Jon Feldmeier
Lynnville resident Jon W. Feldmeier died Sunday, Feb. 24 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville. He was 57.
He is survived by his wife, Doris (Broshears) Feldmeier; a son, Kevin "Soap" Feldmeier; a daughter, JoAnn Feldmeier; all of Lynnville' two brothers, James "Babe" Feldmeier, also of Lynnville and Gene Feldmeier of Linton; a sister, Doris Ann Feldmeier of Boonville and three grandchildren, Cody Helms, Daren Feldmeier and Jeniece Helms.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Feb. 28 at Pemberton-Bradley Funeral Home with burial in Lynnville Cemetery.
The Rev. Ray Crane officiated.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lynnville Park Campground and Playground Fund.
Merle Reinitz
Chandler resident Clayton M. Reinitz died Monday, April 22 at his home in Chandler. He was 81.
He was formerly of Mt. Vernon and lived in Port St. Lucie, Fla for 17 years working for General Development retiring in 1985 then moving to Murphy, N.C. then to Chandler in 1998. He was a member of the Newburgh Church of Nazarene. He loved to fish and do woodworking.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lorene Patton Reinuitz of Chandler; a daughter, Cheryl Rossiter of Chandler and a daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Rev. Dennis King of Boonville; a son and daughter in law, Wayne and Sue Reinitz of Mt. Vernon; four sisters, Mildred Scheifler of Virginia, Doris Hammer of Panama City, Fla., Donna Overton of New Harmony and Joyce Frashier of Carmi, Ill.; three brothers, Don Reinitz of Mt. Vernon, Bob Reinitz of Cadiz, Ky and Charles Reinitz of Joelton, Tenn.; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 25 at Koehler Funeral Home, Perigo Chapel with burial in Greenwood Cemetery
in Chandler. Rev. Dennis King officiated.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Newburgh Church of the Nazarene.
Thomas Jamison Sr.
Newburgh resident Thomas L. Jamison, Sr. died Tuesday, June 11 at his residence. He was 70.
Funeral services were held Friday, June 14 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery
in Newburgh.
Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation of Indiana.
Paul Postin
Boonville resident Paul "David" Postin died Tuesday, Nov. 5, at his home in Boonville. He was 54.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Beverly (Utzman) Postin of Boonville; a son, Bradley Postin; three grandchildren; his mother, Maxine Postin of Boonville; four sisters, Dana Carter of Stendal, Marlene Meredith of Reed, Ky., Carol Fulkerson of Boonville, Carla Fetter of Boonville; five brothers, Shelby, Jim and Ed Postin, all of Boonville, Hibbitt Postin of Linton and George Postin of Tonopah, Nev.; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Nov. 7, at Boonville Worship Center. Burial was in Garrison Chapel Cemetery
near Heilman.
Koehler Funeral Home-Boonville Chapel handled arrangements.

Esther L. Banakes
Chandler resident Esther L. Banakes died Thursday, Dec. 19 at Woodmont. She was 73.
Esther was a member of St. Clements Catholic Church in Boonville. She was preceded in death by her husband of 16 years, Sam Banakes, in 1998.
Esther is survived by three brothers, Ralph Schmitt, Victor Schmitt, and Eugene Schmitt, all of Newburgh; two sisters, Mary Lou Stephens of Yankeetown, and Alla Mae Schwab of Gunnison, Colo.; and several nieces and nephews.
Mass was held Dec. 23 at St. Clements Catholic Church in Boonville, with Father Lowell Will officiating. Burial was at St. John's Catholic Church Cemetery
in Newburgh. Arrangements were handled by Alexander Newburgh Chapel.
Myrtle B. Smith
Boonville resident Myrtle B. (Rusher) Smith died Tuesday, April 15 at the Baker's Rest Haven Nursing Home in Boonville. She was 97.
Myrtle was preceded in death by her brother, Cecil N. Rusher; two sisters Lilly and Evelyn Tuley; a granddaughter, Cindy Hightower and her husband, Lester Smith.
Myrtle is survived by one son and his wife, William J. and Roslyn Highstreet of West Minister, Calif.; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 18 at the Koehler Funeral Home-Boonville Chapel with Rev. Donald Grubb officiating. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetary in Boonville.
Memorials may be made to the Disabled Veterans of America.
Etheleen Harris
Boonville resident Etheleen Harris died Thursday, June 5 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville. She was 80.
Etheleen worked as a nursing aid for 30 years at Baker's Rest Haven in Boonville. She enjoyed crafts and flowers. The Harris family wishes to express their appreciation for the care of Etheleen given by Vista Care Hospice and also the care given by Baker's Rest Haven.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Robert Harris, in 1995; a son, Charlie Harris, in 1988; one sister, Maggie Sedberry; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Etheleen is survived by four daughters, Bonnie Floyd of Plant City, Fla., Darlene Miller of Boonville, Donna Partridge and Patricia McDaniel, both of Chandler; four sons, Marion C. Ferrel of Duncan, Okla., Leon and Dale Harris, both of Boonville, and Robert Harris of Zephyrhills, Fla.; 19 grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Richardson of Marion, Ky.; three brothers, David Agent of Marion, Ky., Houston and Leroy Agent, both of Indiana; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Sunday, June 8 at Koehler Funeral Home Boonville Chapel with the Vista Care Chaplain Jack Neighbors officiating. Burial followed in Plainview Memorial Cemetery
in Boonville.
