Sue Ann Fromm

Sue Ann Fromm, 59 of Buffalo, a former resident of Highland, died Monday, January 21, 2002.
She was born in Hammond on August 1, 1942, the daughter of Bernard and Alice Fromm.
She was a graduate of Indiana University. She had a master's degree in physical education.
She had lived in Buffalo for more than 30 years.
Survivors include a brother, Jack (Renee) Fromm of Munster, three nephews and a niece of Hammond.
A memorial service was held at the Buffalo Church of the Brethren on Sunday, with Pastor James Bretzinger officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Buffalo Church of the Brethren.

Charles M. Furr
April 25, 1914 - November 8, 1994
Charles M. Furr, 80, 2109 Central St., Lafayette, IN, died Tuesday, Nov. 8, at St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center, Lafayette, where he had been a patient since Monday.
He was born April 25, 1914 in Newtown, IN to Frank and Nellie Walser Furr. He married Pauline McComas on November 23, 1938 in Indianapolis and she survives.
He attended New Richmond High School. He was a retired self-employed painter.
Surviving with his wife is one son, William C. Furr, Lafayette; 2 daughters, Martha (Marty) Deitrick, Lafayette, and Ruth Ann Burgess, Westminster, SC; 3 sisters, Lois Brynes, Crawfordsville, Mary Isabelle Chesney, Crawfordsville, and Pauline Thompson, Noblesville; 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
His parents, 3 brothers, 1 sister and a granddaughter are deceased.
Funeral services were held today at 2 p.m., at Hartzler Funeral Home. Burial was in IOOF Brookston Cemetery. Memorials can be made to Badger Grove Community Baptist Church.
David Jerome Gagnon
January 8, 1940 - September 21, 1989
Retired U.S. Air Force Capt. David Jerome Gagnon, 49, 116 Holden Dr., Brookston, died Thursday, Sept. 21, at 1:30 p.m. in his home after a lengthy illness.
He was born Jan. 8, 1940, to George and Florence Hendrickson Gagnon, in Lafayette. He was married Sept. 6,1964, to Barbara Victor in Brookston. She survives.
He graduated in 1958 from Brookston High School and attended Purdue University and graduated from Arizona State University in 1967. He joined the Air Force in 1962 and retired in Dec. 1972 with a medical disability. He was a member of Brookston Federated Church. He was a past president of Brookston Optimist Club.
Surviving along with his wife are one son, Matt at home; two daughters, Chris and Joscelynn, also at home; parents Mr. and Mrs. George Gagnon, Brookston; two brothers, Ed, Indianapolis and Mike, St. Louis, Mo.
Funeral was Sunday in Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Ralph Smith officiating.
Burial was in IOOF Cemetery, Brookston.
William F. Gilman, Jr.
July 16, 1941 - December 27, 2002
William F. Gilman, Jr., 61, of Brookston, died Friday, December 27, 2002, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Lafayette.
He was born on July 16, 1941, in Pyrmont, to William F., Sr., and Dorothea Mellinger Gilman. He married Linda J. Peterson on January 11, 1989 in Delphi. She survives.
He was a 1959 graduate of Rossville High School.
He served in the Army National Guard.
He was employed in die casting at Globe Valve for the past 17 years. Prior to that, he worked at Bryan Manufacturing in Monticello and was in maintenance at Indiana Beach.
He was a member of the Pyrmont Church of the Brethren.
He enjoyed racing, fishing, hunting and playing the guitar.
Surviving with his wife and mother, of Flora are a daughter Whitley Gilman of Brookston and son, Craig (Brenda) Gilman of Star City; stepdaughters, Charolette (Jason Wade) O'Brien of Chalmers and Colleen (Rocco DeMario) O'Brien of Monticello; stepson, Christopher (Lori) Peterson of Brookston; sisters, Hope Reddington of Frankfort, Diane (Gale) Kinzie of Bringhurst and Sonja (Joe) Buntin of Lafayette; former spouse Patricia Helms; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
His father and a son, Derek William Gilman are deceased.
Funeral services were Monday at Davidson Funeral Home, Delphi with Pastor Tim Deardorf officiating.
Burial was at I.O.O.F. Memorial Gardens, Delphi.

Edwin D. Glass
June 11, 1932 - May 19, 2001
Edwin D. Glass, 68, Lafayette, died Saturday, May 19, 2001 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Lafayette, IN. He had been in failing health the past year.
He was born June 11, 1932 in Barren County, Kentucky to James Logan Glass and Zora Ellen Jennings Glass. He married Joyce Ann Wilson on August 23, 1969 in Brookston and she survives.
He retired in 1993 from Purdue University as a service worker.
Surviving with his wife are a son, Scott Allen Glass of Lafayette; a daughter, Melissa (Jason) Shidler of Lafayette; 3 brothers, Stanley Earl Glass of Lafayette, Rolland Glass and Jack Glass both of Louisville, KY; 2 sisters, Louise Davis and LaVerne Akers both of Glasgow, KY; 2 grandchildren Matthew Bovey and Zachary Shidler.
One brother, Paul Glass, is deceased.
Funeral services were Tuesday, May 22, at Hartzler Funeral Rome, Brookston with Rev. David French officiating.
Burial was in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Brookston. Memorials can be made to St. James Lutheran Church, Lafayette, IN.
Gladys Glotzbach
December 16, 1915 - December 4, 2002
Gladys C. Glotzbach, 86, a former Brookston resident, died Wednesday, December 4, 2002 at George Davis Manor, West Lafayette. She had resided at the manor for 8 1/2 years.
She was born in Oxford, Ind., on December 16, 1915, to Harvey and Myrtle Dirst Spangler. She married William Glotzbach on June 7, 1939. He died in 1986.
She lived in Earl Park until moving to rural Brookston in 1957.
She was a cook at the Wolcott schools for many years. She also did housework.
She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church of Otterbein. She was a former member of the Rosary and Altar Society of St. Bridget's Catholic Church.
She is survived by children, Pat (Paul) Loman of Lafayette, Barbara Mathew of Monticello, Mary (Douglas) Ward of Sellersburg and Ronald (Susan) Glotzbach of Fort Wayne, a sister, Margaret Glotzbach of Earl Park; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Three sisters and two brothers are deceased.
Funeral services were Saturday at St. Charles Catholic Church, with Rev. David Rasner officiating. Foster Funeral Home was in charge of the service.
Burial was in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, West Lafayette.
Rev. Bill A. Gochenour
November 1, 1945 - June 26, 1996
The Rev. Bill A. Gochenour, 50, Fort Wayne, died Wednesday, June 26, in his home at Fort Wayne. He was born Nov. 1, 1945, in Williamsport. He graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School and lived in Lafayette and Monon, before moving to Fort Wayne.
He graduated from Westfield Seminary and was ordained in Des Moines, Iowa. He was the former pastor of Monon Community Church and was the current pastor at Evangelical Christian Church in Fort Wayne.
Survivors include a son, Glen E. Gochenour, Ft Wayne; a daughter, Gloria J. Gochenour, Indianapolis; his parents Richard and Eulah Tyrie, Lafayette; a brother, Grover H. Gochenour, Lafayette; and a sister, Mrs. Glen (Violet) Rainwater, Lafayette.
Funeral service was at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Home, Fort Wayne.
Marie H. Goff
December 8, 1904 - July 11, 1988
Marie H. Goff, 83, 703 E. Monroe St., Delphi, died at 7:50 p.m. Monday at St Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette, where she had been a patient for the last eight days.
She was born Dec. 8, 1904 to John and Elizabeth Mamron Albright in North Liberty. She was married on Dec. 10, 1932, to Ernest Goff, in Valparaiso. He died in 1973.
She was a 1924 graduate of North Liberty High School and attended Tri-State College and Indiana University. She was a school teacher for 10 years at North Liberty and Middlebury schools prior to her marriage. She and her husband owned and operated Goff's Variety Store, Delphi, for more than 20 years, selling the store in 1971.
She was a member of Delphi United Methodist Church, Carroll County Historical Society, Wabash & Erie Canal Association and honorary member of Psi Iota Xi Sorority.
Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth Friend, Metropolis, Ill.; two sons, James of Wabash and Thomas, of Mishawaka; twin sister, Martha McCrosky of North Liberty; another sister, Frances Slattery of North Liberty; a brother, Frank Albright of South Bend; six grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
Four brothers and five sisters are deceased.
The funeral was conducted at 10:30 a.m. today in Delphi United Methodist Church, the Rev. Ellwood Smith officiating.
Horn Funeral Home, Delphi was in charge of the service.
Burial was in Masonic Cemetery, Delphi.
