Paul Vernon Page, 83, Monticello, died Wednesday. July 22, at the home of his daughter, Catherine Knight, Logansport.
He was born March 2, 1915, to Irvin and Sadie Swatts page, in Battle Ground. He was married in 1955 to Jane Driscoll, and she died in 1981. He then married Virginia Rosworski in 1990 and she died in 1995. He married Evelyn Prichard Dubes in 1997 and she survives.
He graduated from Brookston High School in 1933.
He lived most of his life in Lafayette.
He was employed as a meter repairman for Indiana Gas Co. for more than 25 years, retiring in 1977.
He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Doris Ann Macy, Delphi; Mrs. Gene (Catherine) Knight, Logansport and Mrs. David (Joyce) Rider, Delphi; two brothers, James, Battle Ground and Calvin; Delphi; a sister, Mrs. Bill (Wilma) McPeek, Danville; 10 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Two sisters and a brother are deceased.
A private service was held at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
Hippensteel Funeral Home, Lafayette, was in charge of arrangements.
Charles W. Pauley
July 26, 1916 - September 13, 2002
Charles "Warnie" W. Pauley, 86, of Monon died Friday, September 13, 2002 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette.
He was born July 26, 1916, in Wolcott to John and Aramartha Campbell Pauley. He married Grace A. Moncel on September 14, 1940, in Monon. She survives.
He attended Monon schools.
He served in the U.S. Army, and was a sergeant in a tank destroyer unit, which served in Europe in World War II, fought at the Battle of the Bulge, and received two Purple Hearts and one Silver Star.
He was retired from RCA in Monticello, where he had worked for 19 years. He was a block leader in the millroom, and was a shop union steward.
He was a member of the Buffalo Christian Church.
Surviving with his wife are daughters Donna Jean Lemons of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. and Diana Coonrod of Monon; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Four sisters, four brothers and one granddaughter are deceased.
Funeral services were held at Buffalo Christian Church, with Kevin Hart, officiating.
Burial was in Roseland Cemetery, Francesville, with full military graveside rites.

Marvin D. Peden
October 28, 1927 - September 4, 1988
Marvin D. Peden, 80, Horseshoe Bend, R.2, Brookston, died Sunday, Sept. 4, at 8:27 p.m. in St Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center where he had been a patient since August 30. He had been ill since May.
Mr. Peden was a retired maintenance foreman at Fairfield Mf g. Co. where he had been employed 42 years.
He was a lifelong resident of the Lafayette area. He was raised in Lafayette and attended Buck Creek School.
He was born October 28, 1927, in Delphi.
An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of Eagles Lodge 347; Fairfield Athletic Association; and American Legion Post 11.
He was married to W. Jane Shoemaker, Feb. 7, 1948. She survives.
Other survivors include five daughters, Mrs. David (Marva) Hurte, Mrs. Jim (Connie) Runyan, Janice Burton, Mrs. Mark (Jill) DeYoung and Karen Peden; and son, Tony D. Peden, all of Lafayette.
Also surviving are four brothers, Gene J. Peden, Paul O. Peden, Ray S. Peden and Donald 0. Peden, all of Lafayette; and three sisters, Mrs. Donald (Eva) Barrett and Mrs. Kenneth (Rosemary) Reuzenaar, both of Lafayette and Mrs. Ruth Halsema, Mesa, Ariz., 9 grandchildren.
Service was in Hippensteel Funeral Home, Lafayette, Wednesday, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Bryce Mensink officiating. Interment was in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
Rita Holzman Phillips
March 10, 1923 - July 18, 1992
Rita V. Holzman Phillips, 69, Rossville, died Saturday, July 18, at 1:03 p.m. in St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. She had been ill for 1 1/2 weeks and had been a patient at St. Vincent since July 14th.
She was born March 10, 1923, to John and Mary Leahy Holzman, in Chicago. She was married July 18, 1963, to Ernest S. Phillips, who survives.
She lived in Lafayette, before moving 30 years ago, to Rossville.
She retired in June 1968, from Arnett Clinic, Lafayette, where she worked as an accounts clerk. She was a veteran of World War II, and served in the Women's Army Corps, Aug 10,1944 to Oct 15. 1946.
She was a member of the Prayer and Praise Center in Rossville.
Also surviving are two daughters; Sharon Kyle, Lafayette and Penny Golden, Rossville; and three grandchildren. A brother is deceased.
The funeral was Tuesday, July 21, in Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston, the Rev. Daniel Mickschl officiating. military graveside rites were conducted at Brookston IOOF Cemetery.
Bessie M. Post
October 10, 1905 - January 4, 1987
Bessie M. Bush Post, 81, formerly of Brookston, died January 4, in White Co. Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient since Dec. 3. She was born Oct. 10; 1905 in Round Grove Township to Otto Lynn and Fannie Guntrip Bush.
She graduated from Battle Ground High School and Lafayette Business College. She lived in Chicago 50 years and moved to Monticello Community Healthcare Center Nov. 15.
She was formerly a bank employee and worked as a bookkeeper at a barrel cleaning company in Chicago. She attended the former Pine Grove Methodist Church.
Surviving are 'her stepmother, Mrs. Eva Bush of Lafayette; and one stepbrotber Ted Seifers of Speedway.
A memorial service will be conducted at a later date. Her body was given to medical science. Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston, was in charge of arrangements.
Irene Denton Post
May 8, 1922 - December 17, 1999
Irene Denton Post, 77, Brookston, died Friday, Dec. 17, at Heritage Healthcare in West Lafayette.
She was born May 8, 1922, to Alvin J. and Gertrude Schwartz Denton in Benton County. She was married Jan. 25, 1943, to Raymond F. Post in Chalmers, and he survives.
She graduated from Chalmers High School in 1940 and attended Lafayette Business College.
She moved to Chalmers in 1929 and had lived in Brookston since 1951.
She worked at Stuart Jewelry in Lafayette, ALCOA and retired from Jessup Paper Box in Brookston in 1986, after working there for 21 years.
She was a member of Brookston Federated Church.
She was a member of the Frontier Senior Citizens; Kappa Kappa Sigma Sorority in Chalmers; Lafayette AARP; and the West Lafayette Mended Hearts.
She is survived by her husband; son, Terry K. Post of Tulsa, Okla.; daughter, Mrs. Charles (Teresa Joy) Garwood, Indianapolis; brothers, Arnold E. Denton of Moorestown. N.J. and Gordon D. Denton of Chalmers; grandsons, Brian Alan, Bradley Andrew and Brandon Keith Post: and a great granddaughter.
Funeral service was Tuesday at Hartzler Funeral Home in Brookston. with the Rev. Lelan McReynolds officiating.
Burial was in IOOF Cemetery
in Brookston.
Memorials may be made to the Brookston Federated Church.
Bonnie Dell Prichard
February 1, 1929 - June 5, 2003
Bonnie Dell Prichard, 74, of Buffalo, died Thursday, June 5, 2003 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Lafayette.
She was born at Heber Springs, Ark., on February 1, 1929 to William and Alice Crow Barnes. She married Samuel E. Prichard at Kokomo on Dec. 18, 1954. He died April 30, 1975.
She had worked at Monon Trailer at Monon for 18 years. She was a homemaker.
She had lived in the White County area since 1975, coming from Kokomo.
She was a member of the Monticello Eagles Lodge Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Bulington of Monticello; grandchildren, Edward Anderson, Ron Anderson and Tim Anderson, all of Monticello, and a great-granddaughter.
A grandson is deceased.
Funeral Services were Monday at Kellogg Funeral Home in Monon with Rev. Steve Birch officiating.
A graveside service was Tuesday at Crownpoint Cemetery, Kokomo.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
Kenneth S. Rogers
October 16, 1938 - February 21, 2002
Kenneth S. Rogers, 63, of 1401 Kensington Dr., Lafayette, Ind. died unexpectedly Thursday, Feb. 21, at 11:30 a.m. He was born October 16, 1938 in Lafayette, and had been a lifelong resident of the area, having also lived in Monon, Indiana.
He graduated in 1957 from Monon High School. He was married April 20, 1963, to Edith Ann Eldridge, in Lafayette and she survives. He served in the United States Marine Corp. He was a machinist with Fairfield Manufacturing for 32 years before retiring in December 2000.
He attended Dayton United Methodist Church. He enjoyed playing euchre at Burger King on Teal Road, liked old and new automobiles and enjoyed his dog Chelsea Lucy.
Surviving with his wife are a son, Jeffery S. (Rhonda) Rogers, Lafayette; a daughter, Tracy (John) Carson, Dayton, IN and 2 brothers, Richard (Carolyn) Rogers, Brookston and John (Leona) Rogers, Monon, Ind.
Also surviving are eight grandchildren; Lauren and Megan Fleming; Matthew, Adriane and Drew Carson, Polly and Andi Immel and Becky Stewart and great grandchild, Sammy Stewart.
Service was held in the Hippensteel Funeral Home, Lafayette, at 10 a.m. Tuesday with Pastor John Walls officiating.
Burial was in the Rest Haven Memorial Park.
Mary D. Childers Rogers
December 22, 1918 - September 14, 1992
Mary Dona Childers Rogers, 73, Lafayette, died September 14 at Home Hospital, Lafayette. She had been living at Heritage Healthcare, West Lafayette, since February.
She was born December 22, 1918, in Grayson County, Kentucky, to Oscar and Lizzie Alvey Childers.
Survivors include two sons, Monroe H. Kemple of Rte. 5, Monticello, and David E. Kemple of Paoli; two sisters, Corine Miller of Litchfield, Ky., and Juanita Cox of Mumpfordsville, Ky.; three brothers, Martin Childers of Litchfield, KY., Rex Childers of Park City, Ky., and Benny Childers of Bee Springs, Ky.; six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Two brothers are deceased.
The funeral was Thursday, September 17 at Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston, with Bill Romans officiating. Burial was in IOOF Cemetery, Brookston.
