Lena Honegger Ward

Lena Honegger Ward, 95, of Francesville died Friday, January 12, 2001 at Parkview Haven Retirement Home in Francesville.
She was born October 24, 1905 in Livingston County, Illinois the daughter of Julius and Marie Barth Honegger.
She married R E Ward on January 28, 1928 in Chilicothe, Illinois. He died August 5, 1977.
A homemaker, she had lived in Francesville most of her lifetime.
She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church for 60 years.
Surviving are three daughters: Barbara Wuethrich, Francesville; Nola (Richard) Wuethrich, Monticello and Mary Ann (Joe) Sanders, Maumelie Arkansas; and three sons: Dale E. (Ann) Ward, Francesville; David A. Ward, Monticello and Roger E. (Sandi) Ward, Francesville; two sisters, Esther DeVault, Monticello and Leona Friday, Monon.
She had 25 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.
Five sisters, four brothers and a great grandson are deceased.
Funeral services were at the Apostolic Christian Church on Tuesday. January 16, 2001 with Ministers of The Church officiating. Querry-Ulbricht Funeral Home was in charge.
Burial was in Roseland Cemetery, Francesville.

Velvia C. Ward
October 21, 1911 - February 21, 2003
Velvia C. Ward, 91, of Monticello and formerly of Monon died Friday, February 21, 2003 at Monticello Healthcare Center, Monticello. She had lived in Monticello for three years.
She was born October 21, 1911 in Swea City, IA, the daughter of William and Lottie Jensen. She married Dan. J. Ward on March 8, 1947 at Columbus, KS. He died December 18, 1969.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by two children, eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Querry-Ulbrich Funeral Home in Francesville is in charge of the service.
Velvia (Sandy) Ward
October 21, 1911 - February 21, 2003
Graveside services for Velvia (Sandy) Ward, 91, of Monticello, formerly of Monon, will be held on Friday, March 28, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at Monon Cemetery
with Rev. Steve Birch officiating.
She was born October 21, 1911 in Swea City, Iowa the daughter of William and Lottie Jensen.
She died February 21, 2003 in Monticello Healthcare Center.
She married Dan J. Ward on March 8, 1947 at Columbus, Kansas. He died December 18, 1969.
William C. Ware
April 23, 1920 to May 27, 1989
William C. Ware, 69, Monticello, died unexpectedly at 1:44 p.m. Monday in Pulaski Memorial Hospital at Winamac.
He was born April 23, 1920, to Claire "Bud" and Ruth Ricketts Ware, in Covington. He was married in 1941 to Lillian May Davis in Lebanon. She survives.
He was a member and past deacon of Monticello Christian Church. He was a life member and past commander of Monticello American Legion Post No. 81. He was a life member of both the Monticello VFW and DAV. He was a Boy Scout leader for 15 years with Troop No. 28.
He was a World War II veteran and served in the Army Signal Corps in the European Theater. He was awarded the Purple Heart, Bronze Star and Silver Star while in combat.
He lived in the Monticello area for 45 years. He retired from the White County REMC in 1984 after 39 years of service. He was a past president of the Superintendents' Association of the REA.
Surviving with his wife and mother, are three sons; William 0. Ware, West Lafayette; Jerry L Ware, Logansport and James F Ware, Monticello; one daughter, Beverly A. Hampton, Monticello; four brothers, Joe, Dugger; Jack, Tuscon, Ark; Eugene, Excelsior Springs and Larry, Attica; two sisters, Helen Hunt, Corydon, Tenn.; Patricia Ware, West Lebanon and eight grandchildren. One brother is deceased.
Funeral was today at 2 p.m. in Miller-Voorhis Funeral Home with military graveside rites.
Nora A. Warren
January 13, 1906 to June 23, 2000
Nora A. Warren, 94, formerly of Francesville, died Friday, June 23, at Rensselaer Care Center.
She was born Jan. 13, 1906, to James and Ethel Lucas Smith, in Centralia, Mo. She was married Dec. 22, 1925, to Floyd Warren, in Monticello, and he died Feb. 1, 1983.
She moved from Rensselaer to Francesville in 1950.
She was a member of Francesville United Methodist Church.
She was also a member of several home economics clubs in the area.
She is survived by daughters, Nola (Kenneth) Schneidt of Wolcott and Berneice Jackson of Rensselaer; sons, David (Roberta) Warren of Winamac, Dennis Warren of Monticello and Dean Warren of Columbia City; sisters, Gladys Warren of Lehigh Acres, Fla., Lela Barton of Lafayette and Pearl Quasebarth of Monon; 16 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
A daughter, granddaughter, two great grandchildren, three sisters and three brothers are deceased.
Funeral service was Tuesday at Querry-Ulbricht Funeral Home, Francesville, with the Rev. James Yater officiating.
Burial was in Chalmers Community Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Francesville United Methodist Church.
Mari Elizabeth Wayberg
[1982?] - July 22, 2001
Services for Mari Elizabeth Wayberg, 19, Medaryville, were held Thursday in Querry-Ulbricht Funeral Home, Francesville.
She died Sunday, July 22, in White county Memorial hospital, Monticello.
Pastor James Ritchie officiated at the services. Burial was in Whitepost Cemetery, Medaryville.

Harry D. Wayne
May 16, 1931 - January 12, 2002
Harry D. Wayne, 70, of Monon, died Saturday, January 12, 2002 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Lafayette.
He was born in Medaryville on May 16, 1931 to James Otis and Gertrude Campbell Wayne. He married Norma J. Lidke on January 13, 1951, in Monon. She survives.
He was a sergeant in the U.S. Army who served in the
Korean War. He had lived in the area most of his life.
He was retired. He had been employed as a welder at Fluid Drive in Wolcott for five years and had been parts manager of Rensselaer Ford Tractor for several years. He was a member of the American Legion in Monticello.
He attended the Presbyterian Church in Rensselaer.
Surviving besides his wife are daughters Sharon (Virgil) VonTobel; of Rensselaer and Nancy J., Kesler of Ft. Wayne; a son Hany El Wayne of Monon; sisters Leona Wilkerson of Rensselaer and Anna Blackburn, Franceska Neff, Rosella (Max) McKinney and Gloria Tudder, all of Lafayette; two grandchildren and one great grandchild.
He had two brothers and two sisters that preceded him in death.
Funeral services were this morning at Kellogg Funeral Home, Monon with Pastor Marcia L. Smith-Wood officiating.
Burial was in Monon Cemetery
with full military honors.

Nola C. Wayne
August 17, 1949 to November 8, 1998
Nola C. Wayne, 49, of Monon died Sunday, November 8th at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis.
She was born August 17, 1949 in Rensselaer, the daughter of Bernard and Bernice Wright Toumine. Her marriage was to Merle (Sunny) Wayne on October 17,1982 in Monon.
She was a lifetime resident of Monon and Francesville and was a homemaker. She had worked at Monon Corporation for 16 years.
She is survived by her mother, husband and son D. J. Franklin of Ft. Hood, TX, a daughter Dena Franklin of Kentland, IN and a step-daughter Karla Wayne of Franklin, KY. One sister Angie Steinke of Rensselaer also survives along with 6 grandchildren.
Her father, a sister and granddaughter preceded her in death
She attended Tippecanoe Christian Church and was a member of Eagles #2788 Auxiliary.
Funeral services were this morning at Querry-Ulbricht Funeral Home in Francesville with Rev. Les Bucher officiating.
Burial was in the Milroy Cemetery.
Mary Lou Weiderhaft
August 17, 1947 to May 26, 1999
Mary Lou Deck Weiderhaft, 51, of Brownsburg, a former county resident, died Wednesday, May 26, in Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. She had been ill six months and hospitalized since May 7th.
She was born Aug. 17, 1947, to Roland and Harriet Fairchild Deck, in Lafayette. She was married Aug. 7, 1966, to Norman Weiderhaft in Chalmers.
She was a 1966 graduate of Frontier High School.
She was employed as a day care provider in her home and later worked with Community Child Care in Plainfield
She was a member of the Lafayette Corvette Club.
She is survived by her husband:; a daughter. Amy of Lafayette; a son, Justin at home: her mother. Harriet Deck of Lafayette: and two sisters, Sylvia Sue Holmes of Flora and Cheryl Ann Deck of Indianapolis.
Her father is deceased.
Funeral services were Saturday at Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston. with the Rev. Lelan McReynolds officiating.
Burial was in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, West Lafayette.
