Opal L. Griffith, 84, resident of Cunot, died Sunday, May 9, 2004 at her residence. Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, May 19, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Cloverdale cemetery. Larry Calvert will officiate. Arrangements were provided by West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer.

Mary Helen Ferguson, 89, resident of Powderly, Texas, died Friday, May 14, 2004 at Paris Regional Medical Center. Private services were conducted in the Red Hill cemetery in Lamar County, Texas. Arrangements were provided by Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home of Paris, Texas.

Reada J. Berryman, 77, resident of Cloverdale, died Thursday, May 13, 2004 at Hickory Creek at Sunset in Greencastle. Services will be conducted Sunday, May 16, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. at Whitaker Funeral Home in Cloverdale. Rev. Myron Welty will officiate. Interment will be in Cloverdale cemetery. Calling hours will be from 2-3 p.m. Sunday, May 16 at the funeral home.

Juanita Bixler, 66, resident of Spencer, died Friday, August 6, 2004 at her residence. Services will be conducted Wednesday, August 11, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer. Bishop Edwards will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery in Spencer. Calling hours will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, August 10 at the funeral home.

Bernard Harold Lancaster, 89, resident of Huntington, West Virginia, originally from Bloomington, died Thursday, August 5, 2004 at his residence. Services will be conducted Saturday, August 7, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Ridgelawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel in Huntington, West Virginia. Rev. Jeffrey P. Wick will officiate. Military rites will be by VFW Post #9738. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the mausoleum. Memorial contributions should be directed to Hospice of Huntington.

Landon Wayne Harper, 44, resident of Spencer, died Wednesday, July 28, 2004 in Spencer. A memorial service will be held today, Thursday, August 5, 2004 at 6:00 p.m. at the Spencer Christian Church. David Rawls will officiate. Arrangements were provided by West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer.

Thomas William Richard Perkins, infant, of Gosport, died Monday, August 2, 2004 at Bloomington Hospital. Services will be conducted Saturday, August 7, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Presbyterian cemetery in Ellettsville. Rev. Nick Robertson will officiate. Interment will follow.

Elsie Irene Jenner, 85, resident of Ellettsville, formerly of Indianapolis, died Thursday, July 29, 2004 at The Residence at McCormick’s Creek. Services will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation. Chandler Funeral Home in Ellettsville is in charge of arrangements.

David B. Hamlin, 37, resident of Spencer, died today, Monday, August 2, 2004. Services will be conducted Thursday, August 5, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer. Rev. David Warren will officiate. Burial will be in Chambersville cemetery. Calling hours will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, August 4 at the funeral home.

A memorial service was conducted Monday, July 26, 2004 in Fairfield, California for John L. White, 83. Mr. White died at home in Green Valley, California on July 17, 2004 following a battle with cancer. The memorial service was conducted at the Bryan Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield, California, with Pastor Larry Vilardo officiating. Burial was in Rockville cemetery.

James Allen Porter, age 41, resident of Gosport, died Thursday, July 29, 2004 in Bloomington. Graveside services will be held Monday, August 2, 2004 at 2 p.m. at Gosport cemetery. Bro. Gary Fiscus will officiate. Family and friends may call one hour prior to the services at the cemetery. Funeral arrangements were provided by West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer.

Austin L. Sims Sr., 73, resident of Bedford, died Sunday, July 25, 2004 at Bloomington Hospital. Services were conducted Thursday, July 29, 2004 at Day Funeral Home Chapel in Bloomington. Pastor Millard Jones and Pastor Bob Courson officiated. Burial followed in Greene County Chapel cemetery.

Dean L. Safewright, 59, resident of Spencer, formerly of Indianapolis, died Tuesday, July 27, 2004 at The Residence of McCormick’s Creek. Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, July 31, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Floral Park cemetery in Indianapolis. Pastor Paul Reed will officiate. Calling hours will be Saturday, July 31 from 9-11 a.m. at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer and from 1-2 p.m. at the gravesite.

Dorothy Jean Edwards, 81, resident of Daleville, died Tuesday, July 27, 2004 at her residence after a brief illness. Services will be conducted Friday, July 30, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Daleville Christian Church. Gary McManus will officiate. Burial will follow at Riverside cemetery in Spencer at 1:00 p.m. Calling hours will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, July 29 at the church. Services were provided by Ballard and Sons Funeral Home in Daleville.

Madge M. Evans, 83, resident of Spencer, died Tuesday, July 27, 2004 at The Residence at McCormick’s Creek. Services will be conducted Friday, July 30, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer. David Rawls will officiate. Burial will be in Chambersville cemetery.

Cecelia Adelaide (Travis) Jones, 93, resident of Jamestown, died Monday, July 26, 2004 at Hickory Creek in Lebanon. Services will be conducted Friday, July 30, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at Porter Funeral Home in Jamestown. Interment will be in Old Union cemetery. Calling hours will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, July 29 at the funeral home.

Loren Tudor, 88, resident of Eminence, died Saturday, July 24, 2004 at Clarian Health/Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Services will be conducted Wednesday, July 28, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Whitaker Funeral Home in Cloverdale. Bro. Gary Fiscus will officiate. Interment will be in Mannan cemetery of Cloverdale. Calling hours will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 27 at the funeral home.

Richard L. “Dick” Thompson, 79, resident of Chalmers, died Thursday, July 22, 2004 at White County Memorial Hospital. He had been in failing health for a year and a half. Services were held earlier today, Monday, July 26, 2004 at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home in Brookston. Rev. Bill Henderson officiated.

Richard B. Totten, 68, resident of Spencer, died Wednesday, July 21, 2004 in Bloomington. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Larry G. Frye, 62, resident of Spencer, died Thursday, July 22, 2004 at Bloomington Hospital. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 24, 2004 at 2 p.m. at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer. Pastor Diane Wells will officiate. Interment will be held at Chambersville cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today, Friday, and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Joseph E. Kelly, 62, resident of Cloverdale, died Wednesday, July 21, 2004 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 25, 2004 at 7 p.m. at Whitaker Funeral Home in Cloverdale. Don Timberman will officiate. Family and friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Manford I. Hamlin, 90, of Spencer died Tuesday, July 20, 2004 at the Gosport Nursing Home. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, July 23, 2004 at 11 a.m. at the West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer with Rev. David Warren officiating. Burial will be at Riverside cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday, July 22 from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Friday, July 23 from 8:30 to 11:00 a.m.

Joan Partin, 63, resident of Spencer, died Thursday, July 15, 2004 at Putnam County Hospital in Greencastle. Services were conducted today, Monday, July 19, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Whitaker Funeral Home in Cloverdale. Pastor William E. Wright officiated. Burial was to follow in Hudson Hill cemetery in Gosport.

Guina M. Coombs, 81, resident of Bloomington, died Friday, July 16, 2004 at Waldron Healthcare Center in Shelby County. Services will be conducted Wednesday, July 21, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at Deremiah-Frey Mortuary, Greene & Harrell Chapel in Bloomington. Rev. Dean Rose and Rev. Harold Godsey will officiate. Interment will be in Riverside cemetery. Calling hours will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 20 at the funeral home.

Marvin B. Neill, 82, resident of Bloomington, died Friday, July 16, 2004 at Bloomington Hospital. Services will be conducted Tuesday, July 20, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Burial will be at Prairie Chapel cemetery. Calling hours will be today, Monday, July 19 from 4-8 p.m. and Tuesday, July 20 one hour before service at the funeral home.

Dorothy Jean Knipstine, 69, resident of Gosport, formerly of Martinsville, died Friday, July 16, 2004 at Gosport Nursing Home. Services were held earlier today, Monday, July 19, 2004 at Concordia Lutheran cemetery Chapel in Hammond. Interment followed in Concordia Lutheran cemetery.

Truman L. Mannan, 92, resident of Cloverdale, died Saturday, July 17, 2004 at the Indiana Masonic Home in Franklin. Services will be conducted Wednesday, July 21, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Whitaker Funeral Home in Cloverdale. Rev. Cleon Wright will officiate. Interment will be in Cloverdale cemetery. Calling hours will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 20 at the funeral home. A Masonic Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, July 20 at the funeral home.

Services were conducted today, Thursday, October 7, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary in Bloomington. Rick Birden officiated. Interment was in Valhalla Memory Gardens Mausoleum.

Clinton Emory Abrell, 72, resident of Freedom, died Monday, October 4, 2004 at his residence. Services will be conducted Thursday, October 7, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Community Church. Brother Artie Carnes will officiate. Burial will be in Barnes cemetery. Calling hours will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, October 6 at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer and from 9-11 a.m. Thursday, October 7 at the church.

Services were conducted Thursday, September 30, 2004 at Whitaker Funeral Home in Cloverdale. Rev. Gary Clark and Rev. Steve Hughette officiated. Interment was at Cloverdale cemetery.
