James Edward Rippy, age 70 of Mooresville, Indiana died May 2, 2003 in Hendricks Community Hospital, Danville, Indiana. He was born March 3, 1933 in Portland, Tennessee to Kelly Walton & Lola G. Garrett Rippy.

He retired due to disability in 1983 after 21 1/2 years as a dryer operator for National Starch & Chemical, Indianapolis, Indiana. He attended the Victory Baptist Church, Mooresville, Indiana and was an avid CB operator going by the handles J. R. and Shop Towel. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Willard E. Rippy and a sister Willovene Leach.

Survivors include wife Wanda June Foster Rippy (married September 30, 1955) of Mooresville, Indiana; son Darcy J. Rippy of Martinsville, Indiana; daughters Teresa J. Cooney; Patricia A. Cooney; J. Sue Helms Moody and Rochelle M. Lehr all of Mooresville, Indiana; sisters Mary Etheridge & Sue Cook both of Indianapolis, Indiana and 9 grandchildren.

Calling is Monday, May 5, 2003 from 3-9 p.m. in Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel, Mooresville, Indiana. Funeral service 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2003 in the funeral chapel. Rev. Tony York will officiate. Burial will be in White Lick cemetery. Military Graveside Rites conducted by the Martinsville American Legion Burial Detail. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 6030 W. 62nd Street, Indianapolis, IN 46278.

Ruth Louise Moon

Ruth Louise Monical Moone, age 77 of Mooresville, Indiana died May 2, 2003 in the Indiana Masonic Home, Franklin, Indiana. She was born August 20, 1925 in Marion County, Indiana to James Hobart & Alice McVey Monical.

She retired in 1990 after 30 years as a self employed piano teacher. She was the widow of William Russell Moon, whom she married April 9, 1947 and who died February 16, 1983. She was a member of the Delta Iota Chapter of Kappa Kappa Sigma Sorority, former Boy Scouts of America Leader and recipient Boy Scout's Silver Beaver Award, former Girl Scout Leader and board member of the Girl Scout's of America Hoosier Capital Council, member of Indianapolis Piano Teacher's Association and the National Federation of Music Clubs. She was also preceded in death by son Robert E. Moon and daughter Patricia S. Morgan.

Survivors include sons: James R. Moon of Morgantown, Indiana; William Tom Moon of Martinsville, Indiana; Richard L. Moon of Greenwood, Indiana; William R. Moon, Jr. of Greenwood, Indiana; daughters Jo Anne Jones of Mooresville, Indiana; Mary E. Pate of Mooresville, Indiana; Janet M. Blackwell of Franklin, Indiana; brother Allen R. Monical of columbus, Indiana; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Calling is Monday, May 5, 2003 from 10-11 a.m. in Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel, Mooresville, Indiana. Funeral service 11 a.m. Monday, May 5, 2003 in the funeral chapel. The Rev. Doris Barbara Moore

Doris Barbara Hadley Moore, age 72 of Stilesville, Indiana died April 28, 2003 in Hendricks Community Hospital, Danville, Indiana. She was born September 1, 1930 in Mooresville, Indiana to Louis Alfred & Mary Susan Dailey Hadley.

She was a homemaker. She was the widow of Kenneth Moore, Sr. whom she married July 18, 1958 and who died February 19, 1983. She was a member of the Stilesville Christian Church. She was also preceded in death by a son Charles Moore.

Survivors include sons Roland E. Moore & Kenneth Moore, Jr. both of Stilesville, Indiana; brother Walter A. Hadley of Arcadia, Florida; sisters Esther L. Zielska of Camby, Indiana and Myrtle K. Acton of Danville, Indiana; 4 step-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren.

Calling is Wednesday, April 30, 2003 from 5-8 p.m. in Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel, Mooresville, Indiana. Graveside services and burial is Thursday, May 1, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. in White Lick cemetery, Mooresville, Indiana. Rev. Kelly Whitehurst will officiate.

Edna Smith

Edna Gilkerson Smith, age 84 of Plainfield, Indiana died April 28, 2003 in Plainfield Healthcare Center, Plainfield, Indiana. She was born April 3, 1919 in Beckley, West Virginia to Bruce & Irene Belle Nelson Gilkerson.

She was a homemaker most of her life. She was preceded in death by a grandson.

Survivors include sons: Wayne H. Richmond of Dennison, Illinois & Sherrill B. Gilkerson of Monrovia, Indiana; daughter Sharon I. Hunter of Plainfield, Indiana; sister Uva Hawley of Beckley, West Virginia; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Sherrill Thomas Hadley

Sherrill Thomas Hadley, age 66 of Mooresville, Indiana died April 24, 2003 in Kindred Hospital South, Greenwood, Indiana. He was born September 29, 1936 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Dr. Venard S. & Dolly Marie Joyner Hadley.

He was a retired self employed farmer. He was a member of the Mooresville Friends Church and was a veteran of the Air Force Reserve.

Survivors include daughters Lori K. Robinson of Greenwood, Indiana and Lee Ann Baldridge of Mooresville, Indiana; sisters Doral H. Truax of Mooresville, Indiana and Wilma J. Parsons of Avon, Indiana and 2 grandchildren.

Graveside Service and burial Saturday, April 26, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. in White Lick cemetery, Mooresville, Indiana. The Rev. Bob Garris will officiate. John Freeman Robinson

John Freeman Robinson, age 90 of Indianapolis, Indiana formerly of Stilesville, Indiana died April 16, 2003 in Eagle Valley Meadows Nursing Home, Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born May 13, 1912 in Stilesville, Indiana to Lacy E. & Maude M. Gorham Robinson.

He retired in 1975 after several years as a dock worker for I & S McDaniels Trucking, Indianapolis, Indiana. He was a Corporat with the United States Army Air Corp serving during WWII. He was preceded in death by his brother George Robinson.

Survivors include sons Ernest E. Robinson of Camby, Indiana; John F. Robinson of Indianapolis, Indiana; Sherman C. Robinson of Port Charlotte, Florida and Kenny Robinson of Punta Gorda, Florida; sister Dana Lightle of Florida; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Calling is Friday, April 18, 2003 from 4-8 p.m. in Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel, Mooresville, Indiana. Funeral Service 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 19, 2003 in the funeral chapel. Max Eugene Grove

Max Eugene Grove, age 81 of Indianapolis, Indiana died April 13, 2003 in Richard Roudebush VA Medical Center, Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born April 20, 1921 in Wakita, Oklahoma to Timothy Vernon & Lucy Mable (Pracht) Grove.

He owned and operated Ray-Max Welding in Claflin Kansas for 50 years retiring in 1985. He was an Air Force Veteran during WWII. He was a member and deacon of Gasburg Baptist Church, Gasburg, Indiana.

Survivors include wife Nadene Lois (White) Grove (Married March 10, 1946)of Indianapolis, Indiana; son Timothy P. Grove of Indianapolis, Indiana; daughters Diana F. Ridenour of Mooresville, Indiana and Kristi A. Holmes of Springhill, Kansas; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Calling is Wednesday, April 16, 2003 from 5-8 p.m. in Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel, Mooresville, Indiana. Funeral service 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 17, 2003 in Gasburg Baptist Church, 11564 N. Gasburg Road, Mooresville, IN 46158. Burial with Military Honors in Mt. Pleasant cemetery, Hall, Indiana. Pastor Jack Elliott and Pastor Tony Manning will officiate. Agnes Faye Perry

Agnes Faye Perry, age 79 of Mooresville, Indiana died March 31, 2003 in Community Hospital South, Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born March 17, 1924 in Morgan County, Indiana to Arthur & Maude (Taylor) Perry.

She was a custodian for the office of blue & White Truck Services in Speedway, Indiana for 20 years retiring in 1992. She was preceded in death by brothers Abe, Dewey, Herman, Floyd and Rex Perry and a sister Frances Hoppes.

Survivors include son Dale William Perry of Mooresville, Indiana; brothers Lloyd Perry of Alabama; Glenn Perry of Martinsville, Indiana; sisters Janie Stettler of Plymouth, Indiana & Evelyn Renner of Indianapolis, Indiana; 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Calling is Wednesday, April 2, 2003 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel, Mooresville, Indiana. Funeral Service 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2003 in the funeral chapel. Rev. Terry Crist will officiate. There will be a private burial of the cremains at a later date in East Hill cemetery, Morgantown, Indiana.

Todd N. Heitmann

Todd N. Heitmann, age 47 of Camby, Indiana died March 27, 2003. He was born January 17, 1956 in Bismarck, North Dakota.

He was currently working at United Airlines as an Aircraft Mechanic in Indianapolis, Indiana. He has worked there for 13 years. He was a member and trustee of the First United Methodist Church, Mooresville, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his father George Heitmann.

Survivors include his wife Diana M. Irwin Heitmann (Married June 25, 1994) of Camby, Indiana; mother Colleen Nelson Heitmann of Salem, Oregon; son Seth Heitmann of Camby, Indiana; daughter Sydney Heitmann of Camby, Indiana; brother Reed Heitmann of Littleton, Colorado; sisters Jolene Heitmann of Portland, Oregon and Jerrilyn Henry of Eugene, Oregon.

Calling: None. Memorial Service 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2003 in First United Methodist Church, 900 Indianapolis Road, Mooresville, Indiana. Rev. Gene Young will officiate. The body will be cremated. Memorial Contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 2209 John R. Wooden Drive, Martinsville, IN 46151.

Ruth Maxine Wilhelm

Ruth Maxine Wilhelm, age 83 of Waverly, Indiana, died September 10, 2003 at her residence. She was born June 8, 1920 in Mooresville, Indiana to the late William Edgar & Edna Fields Singleton.

She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Andrew Wilhelm on February 28, 1992 and they were married April 18, 1953. She was also preceded in death by a sister Maybelle Rose.

Survivors include son Russell F. Wilhelm of Indianapolis, Indiana; daughters Beth Ann Wilhelm of Waverly, Indiana and Wilma L. Oltean of Indianapolis, Indiana; sister Kathryn I. Robertson of Mooresville, Indiana; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews.

Ruth Eleanor Harris

Ruth Eleanor Wadsworth Harris, age 86 of Mooresville, Indiana, died September 11, 2003 in St. Francis Hospital, Beech Grove, Indiana. She was born July 6, 1917 in Dugger, Indiana to the late Walter & Cora Almeda Stuckey Wadsworth.

She was a Library Aide at Northwood Elementary School for several years as well as a homemaker. She was a graduate of Odon High School. She was a former member of the Central Avenue United Methodist Church in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mooresville, Indiana. She was the widow of Roy Clifford Harris whom she married February 5, 1938 and who died November 25, 2000. She was also preceded in death by a son Ronnie J. Harris; brothers Bill & Foster Wadsworth and sisters Margaret Brummett and Alice Bryer.

Survivors include sons Steven L. Harris & Kevin C. Harris of Martinsville, Indiana, Phillip D. Harris & Richard A. Harris of Indianapolis, Indiana; daughters Janice E. Bauer of Indianapolis, Indiana and Jeanie McAuley of Greenfield, Indiana; 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Carol Lee Northerner

Carol Lee Northerner, age 71 of Mooresville, Indiana, died September 10, 2003 in Select Specialty Hospital of Beech Grove, Indiana. She was born February 15, 1932 in Petersburg, Indiana to the late Ralph & Lecta Corn Taylor.

She was a server several years for Mooresville High School Cafeteria. Previously for 20 years she was a coil winder for Wilco, Indianapolis, Indiana. She was a member of the Mooresville VFW Post 1111 Ladies Auxiliary. She was the widow of Eugene Willis Northerner whom she married October 21, 1950 and who died August 7, 1993. She was also preceded in death by her sister Claudia Pollack.

Survivors include daughter Theresa A. Ellis of Mooresville, Indiana; grandchildren Todd E. Ellis, Shawn D. Ellis & Lisa M. Ellis.

Michael Eugene Forester

He retired in 1988 after 36 years as an Industrial Sepcialist for Naval Avionics, Indianapolis, Indiana. He was a member of the Plainfield Christian Church, Mooresville VFW Post 1111 Father's Auxiliary and the Mooresville American Legion Post 103. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was also preceded in death by 2 infant sisters.

Survivors include wife Doris Frances Polson Forester of Avon, Indiana; sons Kevin R. Forester of Michigan, C. Marc Wilson of Mooresville, Indiana and Michael R. Wilson of Whitehouse, Texas; daughters Melody Herman of Phoenix, Arizona, melissa Forester of Ellettsville, Indiana, Mary Moore of Englewood, Florida, Neda L. Ward of Fishers, Indiana and Kimmi R. O'Bryan of Indianapolis, Indiana; brother James H. Forester of Mooresville, Indiana; 25 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
