Thomas Gregg Stephany

Thomas Gregg Stephany, age 69 of Martinsville, Indiana, died December 2, 2004 in Select Specialty Hospital in Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born June 10, 1935 in Chicago Heights, Illinois.

He retired with the rank of Cheif Master Sergeant (E9) on June 10, 1995 from the United States Air Force Reserve after a 42 year career. He was a member of the 434th Tactical Fighter Wing and later the 434th Air Refueling Wing at Grissom Air Force Base. A highlight of his career was his many trips to Mendenhall, England. He retired in 1997 after 17 years as Fleet Manager for Wishard Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana. Previously for 16 years he had been assistant service manager and salesman for Hatfield Ford, Indianapolis, Indiana. He owned a 1963 Studebaker Cruiser and was a member of The Indy Chapter Studebakers Drivers Club, National Studebakers Drivers Club, Studebaker Internet Group and was an active weather watcher with the Ham Radio Association with the call letters, N9IMV. He was a graduate of Shortridge High School and attended the College of William and Mary.

Survivors include his wife Vickie Lynn Cook Stephany (Married June 27, 1981) of Martinsville, Indiana; mother Katherine H. Anderson Stephany of Mooresville, Indiana; sons David Wayne Stephany of Fishers, Indiana, Scott Thomas Stephany of Indianapolis, Indiana, William Robert Stephany of Indianapolis, Indiana and Michael Andrew Stephany of Martinsville, Indiana; step-son W. Tom Cook of Martinsville, Indiana; daughters Nancy Kay Tolle of Noblesville, Indiana and Donna Lynn Katherine Stephany of Martinsville, Indiana; brother Bob A. Stephany of Batavia, Ohio and 14 grandchildren.

Calling is Sunday, December 5, 2004 from 2-8 P.M. in Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel, Mooresville, Indiana. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 6, 2004 at 2 P.M. Burial will follow in I.O.O.F. cemetery, Waverly, Indiana.

Col. Wilbur Keith Grimes, USAF Ret.
2004-11-30
Col. Wilbur Keith Grimes, USAF Ret., age 82 of Plainfield, Indiana died November 30, 2004 in St. Francis Hospital, Beech Grove, Indiana. He was born March 9, 1922 in Platte, South Dakota to the late Wilbur D. & Fan Lou Priest Grimes.

He retired in 1970 after 30 years as a pilot with the United States Air Force. He was preceded in death by sisters Mary Frances Straight And Winifred Neal and a brother Gerald Grimes.

Survivors include his wife Madge Eileen Neece Grimes (Married June 6, 1942) of Plainfield, Indiana; daughters LInda Kay Weatherwax of Midlothian, Texas, Karen Kay Heil of St. Louis, Missouri and Donna Rae Guthridge of Clayton, Indiana; brother Robert Grimes of Greencastle, Indiana; sister Betty Giddings of Greencastle, Indiana; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Calling is Thursday, December 2, 2004 from 5-7 P.M. in Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel, Mooresville, Indiana. The body is to be cremated and private graveside services will be held at a later date in Poland Chapel cemetery, Poland, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association.

Patricia Lou Arnold

Patricia Lou Logue Arnold, age 72 of Mooresville, Indiana, died November 20, 2004 in Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born April 11, 1932 in Liberty, Indiana to the late Lloyd & Nellie Watts Logue.

Patricia retired in 1997 after 15 years as a clerk with the Indiana State Professional Licensing Agency, Indianapolis, Indiana.

Survivors include her husband James E. Arnold (Married November 9, 1948) of Mooresville, Indiana; sons James A. Arnold of Greenwood, Indiana, Michael G. & Jeffrey M. Arnold of Indianapolis, Indiana; daughter Brenda S. Arnold of Mooresville, Indiana; brothers Robert Logue of O'Fallon, Missouri and Lester Smith of Avon, Indiana; sisters Glennajean Rasmussen of Martinsville, Indiana; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Calling is Monday, November 22, 2004 from 4-8 P.M. in Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel, Mooresville, Indiana. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 A.M., Tuesday, November 23, 2004 in the funeral chapel. Entombment will follow in Floral Park cemetery, Indianapolis, IN.

Wilma Lucille Blevins
2004-11-20
Wilma Lucille Blevins, age 82 of Mooresville, Indiana died November 20, 2004 in Miller's Merry Manor Nursing Home in Mooresville, Indiana. She was born September 29, 1922 in Harlan, Kentucky.

Wilma was a homemaker and member of the Westwood Baptist Church in Ashland, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her father James Pemberton.

Survivors include her mother Sally Farley Pemberton of Ashland, Kentucky; sons Marvin H. Creech of Mooresville, Indiana, Charles W. Blevins of El Paso, Texas and Lundie Blevins, Jr. of Ashland, Kentucky; brother Bob Pemberton of Ashland, Kentucky; sister Frances Perdue of Ashland, Kentucky; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Calling: None. Graveside Services and Burial will be at 11 A.M., Tuesday, November 23, 2004 in Dixon cemetery, Ashland, Kentucky.

Charles William Leap
2004-11-18
Charles William Leap, age 80 of Mooresville, Indiana, died November 18, 2004 at his home of natural causes. He was born January 25, 1924 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late William & Alice Earle Leap.

He retired in 1984 after 34 years as a materials control handler for Detroit Diesel Allison in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was a WW II Army Veteran. He was the widower of June M. Brighton Leap whom he married December 31, 1954 and who died May 20, 1986.

Survivors include his son K C Leap of Mooresville, Indiana; daughters Joy L. Leap of Indianapolis, Indiana and Jenny J. McKee of Kokomo, Indiana; brothers Robert Leap of Brownsburg, Indiana and John Leap of Indianapolis, Indiana; sister Carolyn Beck of Catlin, Illinois and 4 grandchildren.

Calling is Friday, November 19, 2004 from 5-8 P.M. in Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel, Mooresville, Indiana. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Terry Crist at 10 A.M., Saturday, November 20, 2004 in the funeral chapel. Burial will follow in Mooresville cemetery, Mooresville, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Hospital for Children, 50 S. Meridian Street, Suite 500, Indianapolis, IN 46204-3540.

George Oliver Watson
2004-11-13
George Oliver Watson, age 75 of Mooresville, Indiana died November 13, 2004 at his home on his family farm. He was born November 5, 1929 in Mooresville, Indiana to the late Royston Turley & Anna Flo Oliver Watson.

He bred and raised Purebred Hampshire Hogs for 45 years having exhibited many state and national champions. He also owned and operated Watson Lime & Stone Trucking, Mooresville, Indiana for 55 years. he was a 32 year member of the Mooresville Board of Directors of First Indiana Bank, was a 40 year member and past Vice President of the Morgan County 4-H Fair Board, Past President and member of the Morgan County Pork Producers, a member of the Hoosier Hampshire Swine Breeders and was an avid 4-H supporter. Previously, he served 8 years on the Monroe-Gregg School Board serving as President two years. He was a member of the Mt. Tabor Christian Church, Crown Center and attended Gasburg Baptist Church. He was a 1947 graduate of Monrovia High School. He was preceded in death by an infant son and a brother & sister Lee C. & Ruth Ann Watson.

Survivors include wife Ruth L. Darnell Watson (Married March 24, 1950) of Mooresville, Indiana; sons Mike D. Watson & Steve B. (Dawn) Watson of Mooresville, Indiana; daughters Ann (Ron) Pruet of Danville, Indiana and Julia Wayman of Speedway, Indiana; brother David R. Watson of Mooresville, Indiana; 4 grandsons Nick (April) Pruet, Clay Pruet, Stuart & Grant Watson and 5 nephews.

Calling is Tuesday, November 16, 2004 from 2-8 P.M. in Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel, Mooresville, Indiana. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Jack Elliott, Jr. at 11 A.M., Wednesday, November 17, 2004 in the funeral chapel. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant cemetery, Hall, Indiana. Mabel Irene Prescott

Mabel Irene Ladd Prescott, age 84 of Mooresville, Indiana died November 7, 2004 in Methodist Hosptial, Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born April 29, 1920 in Plainfield, Indiana to the late John Royal & Zella Berger Ladd.

For 25 years, she co-owned & operated, along with her husband, Prescott Body Shop in Mooresville, Indiana. She was awarded the Volunteer of the Year Award from Kendrick Memeorial Hospital where she logged over 1000 hours of volunteer time. She was a member of the Mooresville 1st Christian Church. She was the widow of Oliver R. Prescott, Sr. whom she married September 3, 1938 and who died July 23, 1977.

Survivors include her son Oliver Richard (Ann) Prescott, Jr. of Mooresville, Indiana; daughters Mary M. Allender of Brazil, Indiana and Jennifer S. Clark of Mooresville, Indiana; son-in-law Clem LeMay of Brazil, Indiana; friend Ruth Ann Robinson; 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Calling is Tuesday, November 9, 2004 from 4-8 P.M. in Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel, Mooresville, Indiana. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Kelly Whitehurst at 1 P.M., Wednesday, November 10, 2004 in the funeral chapel. Burial will follow in Mooresville cemetery, Mooresville, Indiana. Sharron M. Nicley

Sharron M. Dillon Nicley, age 54 of Indianapolis, Indiana, died November 3, 2004. She was born March 23, 1950 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Larry Duane & Patricia Lillian Reynolds Dillon.

She worked as a Production Supervisor for T. E. Scott in Indianapolis, Indiana until 1995. She was also a Production Supervisor for J.P. Fine Manufacturing in Indianapolis, Indiana retiring in 2001. She attended Emmerich Manual High School in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Survivors include her daughters Brenda K. Nevitt of Indianapolis, Indiana and Karen Cook of Key West, Florida; brothers Joseph D. Dillon of Dover, Delaware and Lloyd D. Dillon of Beech Grove, Indiana; sisters Paula J. Fine of Oaklandon, Indiana and Teresa A. Reinhardt of St. Augustine, Florida; companion Ron Ikemire of Indianapolis, Indiana and 12 grandchildren.

Memorial gathering will be held on Monday, November 8, 2004 from 4-6 P.M. in Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel, Mooresville, Indiana. Memorial services will be held at 6 P.M., Monday, November 8, 2004 in the funeral chapel. She will be cremated and burial of the cremains will be in Acton cemetery, Acton, Indiana at a later date.

William Leon Hite
2004-11-04
William Leon Hite, age 82 of Camby, Indiana, died November 4, 2004. He was born September 14, 1922 in Paragon, Indiana to the late Otis T. & Vada Belle Bowman Hite.

He retired in 1991 after 27 years as an operating engineer from the Power House of GM Division of Allison Gas Turbine in Indianapolis, Indiana. He also owned and operated Mooresville Furniture in Mooresville from 1963 to 1973. He was a WW II Army Veteran and a graduate of Paragon High School. He was also preceded in death by his first wife Juanita Young Hite and a brother Duane Hite.

Survivors include his wife Velma L. Lee Hite of Camby, Indiana; son Charles Hite of Mooresville, Indiana; daughters Jerri (Bud) Crosby of Clayton, Indiana, Cindy (David) Norton of Mooresville, Indiana and Jane (Bruce) Seibers of Evansville, Indiana; step-son Jack (Charlotte) Gallagher of Louisville, Kentucky; step-daughters Beth Gallagher of Mooresville, Indiana and Jennifer Gallagher of Indianapolis, Indiana; 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Calling & Services: None. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. The body is to be cremated.

Edgar Earl Hartman
2004-10-09
Edgar Earl Hartman, age 83 of Camby, Indiana died October 9, 2004 in Rural Healthcare Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born August 27, 1921 in Daviess County, Indiana to the late Jack A. & Lulu Warner Hartman.

Edgar was an Electrician for American Hoist & Derick in Indianapolis, Indiana for 21 years retiring in 1974. He was a 1940 graduate of Washington High School in Washington, Indiana and was Union Steward for the Steelworkers Union. He was also preceded in death by sisters Helen Hartman and Nellie J. Murphy.

Survivors include his wife Mary Frances Richardson Hartman (Married November 4, 1947); son John E. Hartman of Camby, Indiana; daughter Naomi Ruth McCarthy of Nineveh, Indiana; brother Howard Hartman of Henderson, Texas; sisters Thelma Murphy of Vincennes, Indiana, Esther Stoelting of Louisville, Kentucky and Ruth Plummer of St. Petersburg, Florida; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Calling: NONE. Memorial Graveside Services & Burial will be Saturday, October 16, 2004 at 12 P.M.(Noon) in Walnut Hill cemetery, Petersburg, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
