Luella Mae Emery
(July 22, 1929 - January 10, 2012)

ROCHESTER — Luella Mae Emery, 82, Macy, died at 1:41 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012, at Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester.

Born July 22, 1929, in Fulton County, she was the daughter of Virgil Lyman and Fleetie Crippen King. She was married Jan. 2, 1949, in Fulton County, to Doyne F. Emery.

Luella was a homemaker.

A 1947 graduate of Fulton High School, she was a member of Fulton Baptist Temple, where her faith was evident through her work with AWANA, prayer groups, choir and other church activities. Mrs. Emery enjoyed singing, gardening, sewing and cooking. She especially enjoyed making cakes for weddings, anniversaries and all other special occasions. Her most requested cake was red velvet. Her favorite pastimes were supporting her grandchildren in their sporting events and 4-H activities and spending time with her family.

Surviving are her husband, Doyne Emery, Macy; sons, David Emery and wife, Donna, Macy, and Douglas Emery and wife, Patricia, Lafayette; daughters, Julie Bailey, Macy, and Fleetie Jane Shriver and husband, Jeff, Rochester; grandchildren, Tara Sarver and husband, Bob, Holland, Mich., Tristan Kirby and husband, Travis, Lafayette, Morgan Munson and husband, Kyle, Rushville, Kyle Emery and fiancé, Rachel, Twelve Mile, and Stephanie Shriver, Benjamin Shriver and Shayleigh Shriver, all of Rochester; great-grandson, Jackson Sarver, Holland, Mich.; brother, Lyman King and wife, Helen, Rochester; and sister-in-law, Maxine Scutt, Coldwater, Mich.

She was preceded in death by one grandson, Stephen Doyne Shriver; and two sisters, Anna Hartman and Alice Friedrich.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Fulton Baptist Temple in Fulton with Pastor Bruce Russell officiating. Burial will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Cass County.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the church.

Memorials may be made to Fulton Baptist Temple or Gideon’s International.

Gundrum Funeral Home, Logansport, is in charge of arrangements.

Betty Jane Costello
(September 6, 1921 - January 11, 2012)

Betty Jane Costello, 90, of Logansport, IN passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Central Hospital in Lafayette, IN. Betty was born on September 6, 1921 in Logansport, IN to the late Frank and Bessie (Rowe) Clemans. She lived all of her life in the Logansport area. On August 11, 1951 she married Robert E. Costello. He preceded her in death. Betty is survived by a sister, Marian Reid of Logansport, and several nieces and a nephew: Elizabeth (Reid) Yohe, John Reid, Mary Jane (Reid) Day, Karen (Clemans) Mroz, Beth (Clemans) Ciavardoni, Liane (Clemans) Hurst, and Mary Anne (Campbell) Millar. Betty has several cousins and great nieces and nephews surviving also. Besides her parents and her husband, her brother Ralph Clemans and sisters Helen Clemans and Mary Ellen (Clemans) Campbell preceded her in death. Betty retired from RBM in Logansport after 45 years of employment. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 14th at the Gundrum Funeral Home, 1603 East Broadway, Logansport with Pastor Dirk Raderstorf officiating. Burial will be at Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Logansport. Friends and family may call one hour before the service on Saturday at Gundrum’s.

Laura D Woodall
(August 6, 1947 - January 18, 2012)

Laura Dale Foudray Woodall, 64, Logansport, died at 7:46 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012, at Logansport Memorial Hospital.

Born Aug. 6, 1947, in Marion, she was the daughter of Belford Han and Lillie Hatfield Foudray. She was married July 13, 1968, in Marion, to Albert R. Woodall.

Laura was a homemaker.

She was a member of the Salvation Army and Youth for Christ. She enjoyed crafts.

Surviving are her husband, Albert R. Woodall, Logansport; brothers, twin, Gilbert Foudray and wife, Linda, Marion, and Junior Foudray and wife, Joyce, all of Marion, and Ronnie Foudray, Nashville, Tenn.; sisters, Ann Loch, and Dorothy Miller and husband, Don, all of Marion, and Jean Iva Hogan and husband, Paul, Fort Wayne; father and mother-in-law, Paul and Maggie Courtney; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one brother, James S. Foudray; and three sisters, Frances L. Clark, Madeline Thompson, and Ina Foudray.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Gundrum Funeral Home with Major Rose Eagle and Major Tom Eagle officiating. Burial will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.

Lois Jean Paschen
(November 25, 1939 - January 30, 2012)

Lois Jean Paschen, age 72, of Twelve Mile, Indiana, died at 2:45 am Monday, January 30, 2012 at her residence.

Born November 25, 1939 in Lucerne, IN, she was the daughter of Leo and Margaret (Winn) Crimmins. On July 21, 1957 in Lucerne, IN, she married Robert E. Paschen who survives.

Lois was a 1957 graduate of Lucerne High School and a life time member o f Metea Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending winters in Florida with Bob and their friends. She especially enjoyed family get-togethers as well as attending her children’s and grandchildren’s activities and sporting events.

Other survivors include her son - Allen (Jeanna) Paschen of Twelve Mile, IN; 3 daughters - Carla (Kirby) Herschberger of Goshen, IN, Shelby (Steve) Keller of Galveston, IN, Valerie (Darryl) Hoover of Twelve Mile, IN; brother - Richard (Sarah Jane) Crimmins of Lucerne, IN; 2 step-sisters - Alice (Bruce) Estes of Logansport, IN, Jeanie "Bruce" Cloud of Rochester, IN; 5 grandsons - Ryan (Megan) Paschen of FL, Matthew Paschen of Lafayette, IN, Michael Keller of Charlotte, NC, Kegan Hoover of Indianapolis, IN, Trevor Hoover of Twelve Mile, IN; 8 granddaughters - Crysta (Justin) Bowyer of Twelve Mile, IN, Mandy (Jamie) Miller of Goshen, IN, Brittany Herschberger of Goshen, IN, Kelsey Herschberger of Goshen, IN, Courtney Herschberger of Goshen, IN, Jessica (Jeremy) Zehring of Walton, IN, Melinda Keller of Chicago, IL, Monica Hoover of Twelve Mile, IN; 5 great-grandchildren - Brandon and Lucas Zehring of Walton, IN, Reagan Miller of Goshen, IN, Jaden West of Goshen, IN, and Rachel Paschen, FL.

Lois was preceded in death by her father, Leo Crimmins, mother, Margaret Crimmins and 1-daughter, Debra.

Services will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday, February 2, 2012 at the Gundrum Funeral Home. Officiating the services will be Pastor Bill Cordes and Pastor Nathan Brooks . Interment will be in the Metea cemetery, Metea, IN .

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 01, 2012 from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Gundrum Funeral Home, Logansport, Indiana.

Contributions may be made to Gideons International or to the Metea Baptist Church .

Julie Diane Emery Bailey
(August 23, 1960 - January 31, 2012)

Julie Diane Emery Bailey, age 51, of Macy, Indiana, died at 9:50 AM Tuesday, January 31, 2012 in Memorial Hospital, Logansport, IN.

Born August 23, 1960 in Rochester, IN, she was the daughter of Doyne and Luella (King) Emery.

Julie worked as a Clerk for U.P.S in Bourbon, IN. She formerly owned and operated Bailey Embroidery in Warsaw, Indiana.

A 1978 graduate of Caston High School, she also attended Purdue University where she was a member of the Purdue Musical Organizations University Choir. She was an active member of the Fulton Baptist Temple. Julie enjoyed singing in the church choir, for weddings, and special occasions, also spending time with her family, especially supporting her nieces and nephews in their sporting and 4H events

Survivors include her father, Doyne Emery of Macy, IN; 2 brothers - David (Donna) Emery of Macy, IN, Douglas (Patricia) Emery of Lafayette, IN; sister - Fleetie (Jeff) Shriver of Rochester, IN; 5 Nieces - Tara (Bob) Sarver of Holland, MI, Tristan (Travis) Kirby of Lafayette, IN, Morgan (Kyle) Munson of Rushville, IN, Stephanie Shriver of Rochester, IN, Shayleigh Shriver of Rochester, IN; 2 nephews - Kyle (Rachel) Emery of Twelve Mile, IN, Benjamin Shriver of Rochester, IN; Great Nephew - Jackson Sarver of Holland, MI; uncle - Lyman (Helen) King of Rochester, IN; 2 aunts - Maxine Scutt of Coldwater, MI, Judy Emery of Byron Center, MI; .

Julie was preceded in death by her mother, Luella Emery.

Services will be held at 10 AM Saturday, February 4, 2012 at the Fulton Baptist Temple. Officiating the services will be Pastor Bruce Russell . Interment will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Logansport, IN .

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 3, 2012 from 4-8 PM at the at the Fulton Baptist Temple, Fulton, Indiana.

Contributions may be made to the Fulton Baptist Temple or Hope Hospice .

Bonnie L. Cory
(April 10, 1942 - February 7, 2012)

Bonnie L. Cory, age 69, of Logansport, Indiana, died peacefully surrounded by the love of her family after fighting a courageous battle with cancer at 5:00 am Tuesday February 7, 2012 at her residence in, Logansport, IN.

Born April 10, 1942 in Logansport, IN, she was the daughter of Carl and Frances (Rehm) Miller. On June 14, 1964 in Logansport, IN, she married Karl L.Cory who survives.

She was a 1960 graduate of Logansport High School and a member of Main Street United Methodist Church. Bonnie enjoyed collecting miniature shoes and especially enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren .

Bonnie retired from Cory & Cory Creditor's Agent Inc., where she was co-owner and manager and previously held the position of Vice President of ACA of Indiana.

Survivors also include her mother Frances Miller of Logansport, IN; 2 daughters - Terri Romanyk and Christy Gaby of Indianapolis; 3 grandsons - Cory Smith of Mishawaka, IN, Austin Gaby of Logansport, IN, and Tate Gaby of Indianapolis, IN ; granddaughter - Taylor Gaby of Indianapolis, IN;sister - Marsha Miller Scott of Logansport, IN; and 4 great grandchildren .

Bonnie was preceded in death by her father, Carl Miller and a granddaughter, Abby Smith.

Services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, February 10, 2012 at the Gundrum Funeral Home. Officiating the services will be Rev. Tom DeFries, Pastor Bill Collins . Interment will be in the Mount Hope cemetery, Logansport, .

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 9 from 4-8 PM at the Gundrum Funeral Home, Logansport, Indiana.

Contributions may be made to Hope Hospice, Main Street United Methodist Church, or the American Cancer Society.

Marjorie L. Krieg
(February 5, 1927 - February 7, 2012)

LOGANSPORT — Marjorie L. Krieg, 85, Logansport, died at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012, at St. Vincent Hospice, Indianapolis.

Born Feb. 5, 1927, in South Bend, she was the daughter of Stephen Yandl and Barbara Grabner. She was married Feb. 26, 1948, in Logansport, to Oscar E. Krieg, who preceded her in death Aug. 15, 2011.

Marjorie was a homemaker.

She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church, Niddee Shrine Guild, Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 3790, Lil’-Istiks Murat Reception Unit Ladies Auxiliary, Hoosier Hillbilly Clan 14 OH3 and Cass County Humane Society.

Surviving are sons, Richard E. Krieg and wife, Brenda, Carmel, and Kenneth VanLul and wife, Nancy, Las Vegas; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by 14 siblings.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope cemetery.

Friends may call from 12:30 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Shriner’s Hospitals For Children.

Dorothy "Dot" I. Hinkle
(August 18, 1918 - February 8, 2012)

LOGANSPORT — Dorothy I. “Dot” Hinkle, 93, Logansport, died at 9:28 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012, at WoodBridge Health Campus.

Born Aug. 18, 1918, in Cass County, she was the daughter of Grover Isaacs and Julia Homburg. She was married April 10, 1946, in Logansport, to Richard J. “Gene” Hinkle, who preceded her in death May 12, 1988.

She was a former bookkeeper for the ASCS office and had also worked for Logansport City Hall under Mayor Don Michaels. She had also worked for Fernbaugh’s Jewelry Store.

A 1937 graduate of Logansport High School, she was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church. She was a social member of GammNu, Eastern Star, VFW Post 3790 Women’s Auxiliary and American Legion Post 60. Dorothy loved playing bingo, traveling and gardening and was an avid Indiana Pacers Fan.

Surviving are a sister-in-law, Virginia Hinkle, Logansport; cousin, Bernard Slusser and wife, Jane, Logansport; nephew, Fred Hinkle and wife, Nancy, Logansport; niece, Judi Milton, Monticello; two great-nieces, Andrea Kirkpatrick and husband, Kevin, Connecticut, and Ashley McCauley and husband, Dan, Valparaiso; two great-nephews, Matt Milton, Durham, N.C., and Brett Milton and wife, Amanda, Monticello; several great-great-nieces and nephews; and special cousins, Lindy Shafer, Rex Slusser and Julee Chambers, all of Logansport.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Tom DeFries officiating. Burial will be in St. Johns cemetery, Logansport.

Visitation is from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Main Street United Methodist Church.
