Dale Russell Snodgrass, age 65 of New Palestine, passed away Saturday, December 10th in Indianapolis. Born March 11, 1946 in Greenfield, Indiana, he was the son of Robert and Annie Elizabeth "Betty" Snodgrass.
Dale was a graduate of New Palestine High School and served in the U.S. Air Force Survivors include two sons, Todd Snodgrass of Medora and Chris (Bobbie Sue) Snodgrass of Brownstown. Also surviving is one brother, Wayne Snodgrass of New Palestine and three grandchildren, Jalen, Austin and Brooklyn Snodgrass.
Services will be held at 1:00pm Thursday December 15, 2011 at the Medora Christian Church with Rev. Stan Thomas officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00am until service time at the church. Burial will follow in White River Valley cemetery in Medora with military graveside honors.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made care of the funeral home to offset funeral expenses. Woodlawn Family Funeral Centre is handling the arrangements.

Johnnie Dale Buffington Sr.

Service: Memorial services will be 1:30pm on Friday, January 13th at the Seymour First Nazarene at 311 Myers Street with Pastor Rick Wilson officiating.
Johnnie Dale Buffington Sr. age 72 of Seymour, passed away at 4:07 a.m. Monday, January 9, 2012, at Seymour Crossing. Born on October 30, 1939 in Jasonville, he was the only son of the late Mearl Chester and Mary Leturgez Buffington. He proudly served in the Army from 1957 to 1963. He enjoyed the outdoors and collecting coins.
Survivors include his sons Rohn Alan (Robin), Seymour, Johnnie Dale Jr. (Dawn) Hardinsburg, Mark Allen, Seymour, grand children Kristofer, Steven(Ellen), Justin, Priscilla, of Seymour, Jasmin, Dakota, Rozlynn of Hardinsburg. One great grandson Kaiden.
He selflessly donated his body to University of Louisville Science. Memorial services will be 1:30pm on Friday, January 13th at the Seymour First Nazarene at 311 Myers Street with Pastor Rick Wilson officiating. Mary Elizabeth (Taylor) Ross, age 70 of North Vernon and formerly of Seymour, passed away January 12, 2012 at her home. Born July 20, 1941 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of George and Lois (Harrod) Taylor. On January 27, 1962 in Seymour, she married Terry Ross.
For 17 years, Mary worked with her husband at their Ross Fishing & Trapping Supplies in Rockford.
Survivors include her husband Terry, sons Gregory Lee Ross, Douglas Keith (Teresa) Ross and Eric Wayne Ross all of North Vernon; four sisters, Thelma Barnett and Estelle (Gary) Buckler both of Columbus, Bonnie (Sam) Shearer of Seymour and Susie (Jimmy) Mayes of Murrells Inlet, S.C.; six grandchildren, Joshua Lee (Heather), Jennifer, Jeremia, Jacob, Abigail Elizabeth and Addie; six great-great grandchildren, Summer, Daisy, Autumn, Hunter, Mya Grace and Amber. Per Mary's wishes, there was a private service at their home. Woodlawn Family Funeral Centre was entrusted with the arrangements.
In memory of Mary, memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Schneck Medical Center Hospice.

Frances Ruth West

Frances Ruth West, age 90, passed away Saturday, January 28th at Hoosier Christian Village in Brownstown. Born November 30, 1921 in Henry, South Dakota, she was the daughter of the late Chris and Helen (Bauman) Christensen.
Frances graduated from Henry High School in 1939 as Valedictorian and studied two years at General Beadle State College in Brookings, S.D. After college she took her civil service exam and traveled alone by train to Washington, D.C. where she obtained a job at the Pentagon during World War II. During the time she was in Washington, D.C. she met her future husband Eugene West. Frances and Eugene were married in March of 1943. With Eugene in the service they traveled with his military assignments until they settled in Indianapolis in 1945. Frances worked at Eli Lilly until she had children at which time she became a homemaker. She lived in Indianapolis until 1965 when the family moved to Columbus, Indiana. While in Columbus, Frances worked at Vernco until her retirement in 1982.
She was a member of the First Christian Church in Columbus. Frances loved gardening, quilting, painting and cooking and was an accomplished artist and seamstress. She loved her many animals and particularly enjoyed the time she spent with her only grandchild.
Survivors include a daughter, Nancy (Ron) Lambring of Brownstown and a son, John (Carol) West of Columbus. Frances had one grandchild, Stephanie Lambring of Nashville, Tennessee. Also surviving are three brothers, Raymond Christensen of Watertown, S.D., Edward Christensen of Apple Creek, OH and Clifford Christensen of Glendora, CA.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a sister, Helen Christensen.
The family will have graveside services Tuesday, Feb 7th at 10:30am at Graceland cemetery in Henry, S.D. In memory of Frances, memorials can be to Lutheran Central School, Hoosier Christian Village, Alzheimer's Association or the American Heart Association through Woodlawn Family Funeral Center, 612 Meadowbrook Dr., Seymour, Indiana 47274.

Jerold M. Robertson, age 67 of Seymour, passed away January 26th at his home. Born March 16, 1944 in Streator, IL, he was the son of James and Marie (Tucker) Robertson. Jerold served his country in the US. Air Force and was a 1st Vice Commander and member of the American Legion Post 520 in Sun Valley, CA.
He is survived by two daughters in Arizona and a son in Illinois.

Ronald McCleery Jr.

Visitation : 2:00pm until 7:00pm Sunday, February 5th at the Reddington Christian Church and from 9:00am until time of service at the church on Monday

Ronald McCleery Jr., age 49 of Seymour, passed away at 7:30pm Thursday February 2nd at his parents home. Born September 9, 1962 in Salem, Indiana, he is the son of Ronald Sr. and Betty (Brown) McCleery.
Ron graduated from Seymour High School in 1980 and studied at Purdue University from 1980 to 1984 graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Up until his illness in December, Ron worked at Excel Manufacturing as an Engineer. Prior to Excel, he worked at Martinrea Industries in North Vernon, formerly known as Pilot Industries, also as an Engineer.
Memberships include Reddington Christian Church, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #655, Seymour Men's Club of the Knights of Columbus Council 1252, Moose Lodge Chapter 1733 and A.B.A.T.E. of Indiana. Ron loved to fish and had been on several fishing trips with his dad and friends to Canada. He also loved to go camping with friends, enjoyed Purdue sports, listening to 80's rock music, golfing and watching NASCAR, with his drivers being Dale Earnhardt, Sr. and Jr. He also took great pride in riding his 1951 Custom Harley Davidson which he was able to see restored just before his death. Most dear to Ron was his three daughters and spending time with them and his family. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew him.
Survivors include his parents, Ron and Betty of Seymour; daughters, Jennifer (Daniel) O'Neal, Kristen and Adreanna McCleery; two sisters, Cindy (Bill) Rinehart and Angie (Jay) Stoner; niece Lauren Self; nephews, Brady and Will Rinehart, Quenton Stoner, Kevin (Mandy) Rinehart and Dane (Nakaya) Rinehart. Ron also had several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Pastor Scott Brown will conduct services assisted by Bill Weaver at 11:00 Monday, February 6th at the Reddington Christian Church. Visitation will be held from 2:00pm until 7:00pm Sunday, February 5th at the Reddington Christian Church and from 9:00am until time of service at the church on Monday. Burial will follow in Reddington cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family asks that memorials be made to the family to go towards the girls college fund. Woodlawn Family Funeral Centre has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Margaret Helen ( Wagner ) Gatewood, age 87, passed away Tuesday morning, October 18, 2011 at her residence in Brown County.
She was born December 2, 1923 in Marion County to the late John P. and Mary J. (Heaseldenz) Wagner. Margaret married Charles E. Gatewood on July 24, 1948 in Frankfort. He preceded her in death after 50 loving years on January 27, 1999.
Margaret was a homemaker and worked during the 1940's at the Tee Pee Resturant and Eli Lilly & Company both in Indianapolis.
Margaret is survived by one daughter: Suzanne M. Zupancic and husband Charlie of Morgantown; two sons: Charles E. "Chip" Gatewood II and wife Rita of Morgantown & John Allen Gatewood and wife Debbie of Nashville; one brother: John "Bud" Wagner of Indianapolis; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters: Mary Josephine Neal and Ann Knoll.
Margaret was a member of the St. Agnes Catholic Church in Nashville where she participated in the Ladies Auxilary Group. She was also a member of the Hickory Ridge Senior Center and the Brown County Home Economic Club. Margaret enjoyed wintering with her husband for more than 37 years at the Fort Wilderness Campground at Walt Disney World in Florida. She also enjoyed doing crafts.
Father Paul Koetter will conduct a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am Friday at the St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1008 McLary Road in Nashville. Friends may call from 4:00 - 7:00 pm on Thursday at Meredith - Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center.
Memorial Contributions may be made in honor of Margaret to the Hickory Ridge Senior Center, 2314 Hickory Ridge Lane, Morgantown, IN 46160.

Jonathon P. Presley

Jonathon P. Presley, age 28 passed away Wednesday morning, November 2, 2011. He was a resident of Plainfield.
He was born February 21, 1983 in Franklin to his parents, Jeffery & Shelly (Larmore) Presley. Jonathon was a 2002 graduate of Whiteland High School. He married his loving wife, Maria D. Masters on September 21, 2008 in Noblesville. She survives.
Other survivors include his mother: Shelly Presley of Indianapolis; two fourteen month old twins: Madalynn Danielle & Jeffery Paul Presley both of Plainfield. He will be remembered by his two brothers: Dustin C. (wife, Dorothy) Presley of Indianapolis & Christopher M. (wife, Lauren) Presley of Whiteland; and his grandmother: Nancy Larmore of Whiteland. .
He was preceded in death by his father: Jeffery P. Presley on October 2, 2007.
Jonathon worked as the IT Director for CIM Industries in Indianapolis. He also was the owner and operator of SVC Entertainment in Indianapolis since 2008. Jonathon was a member of the Whiteland Masonic Lodge #746.
He enjoyed managing the band, River County, working with computers, fishing, and riding his lawn mower. Jonathon was a fan of the Indianapolis Colts.
The Rev. Chris Page will conduct a Celebration of Life Service 7 pm Monday at Meredith - Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 5 pm until service time on Monday at the funeral home. A Masonic Memorial Service will be conducted by the Whiteland Masonic Lodge following the funeral service on Monday evening at the funeral home.
