Mable C. French, 89, of Ellettsville passed away at her residence on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at 1:40 p.m.
She was born on May 8, 1921 in Cumberland County, Kentucky to the late Alfred and Minnie (Norris) Cummings. Mable retired from Western Electric and was a member of the VFW of Ellettsville, the Pioneer Club of Western Electric and The Order of the Eastern Star; North Park Chapter 404 of Indianapolis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard French (2004) and five brothers.
Mable is survived by her daughters, Kathy Furman (Ryan) of Ellettsville and Vicky Melvin of Bloomington; brother, Henry Cummings of Burkesville, KY; grandchildren, Amanda Thorne, Kayla Thorne of Ellettsville, Robbie Phillips of Mooresville, and Kris Kinser of Bloomington; and great-grandson, Richie Melvin of Bloomington.
Funeral services will be held at Chandler Funeral Home in Ellettsville on Friday, March 25, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Tom Ellsworth officiating. Burial is to follow at Forest Lawn cemetery in Greenwood where there will be an Order of the Eastern Star Service. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 until time of services.

Ruth E. "Betty" Bolton

Anderson - Ruth E. "Betty" (Zehrung) Bolton, 80, Anderson, died August 31, 2003 at Manor Care, Anderson after an extended illness.
She was born June 4, 1923 in Bluffton, IN, and resided in Anderson since 1930.
She worked as a partner and Bookkeeper for Bolton Construction Inc. in Anderson. She and her husband also previously owned Action Janitorial Supply in Anderson.
She was a graduate of Middletown High School.
She was a member of St. Matthews U.M.C. Association of Navy Mothers # 836, and Home Ecconomics Club.
She is survived by her Son-Elbert D. "Bud" Bolton (wife) Joy J. of Anderson
Half Sister- Margaret Nordyke of Ft. Wayne
Grandson-Ryan D. Webb (wife) Amy M. of Frankton
4 Great-Grandchildren- Austin D. Webb, Haylee I. Frank, Julian A. Webb, and Evan S. Webb all of Frankton. Several Nieces and Nephews.
She was preceded in death by her Husband- Elbert Bolton, Parents- Murley J. (Willis) and William Zehrung. Brothers- Allen, Fred, George, John, William, and Robert Zehrung. Half-Sisters Leotta Settle, and May Mullikan, and a Daughter at birth.
Services will be Wed. 9/3/03 at 11:30AM, at Robert Loose Funeral Homes, South Chapel, with Rev. John Young officiating.
Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery, Anderson .
Visitation will be from 4-8Pm on Tue. 9/2/03 at Robert Loose Funeral Homes, South Chapel.
Memorial Contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.

Stephen R. Walls
Stephen R. Walls, 62, of Gosport, died at 11:55 a.m. Friday, March 11, 2011in Bloomington.
He was born Jan. 3, 1949, in Monroe County, to William T. and Lillie (Fulford) Walls. Stephen was a truck driver with Tree of Life and was also a car salesman. He graduated from Edgewood High School, where he played football, basketball and baseball. Stephen served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Survivors include a son, Thomas Lane Walls, and a daughter, Lily Grace Walls, both of Bloomington; two sisters, Judy McDougal (Leon) of Bloomington, and Sharon Gater (Jim) of Solsberry; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Edith Prather Walls; and a brother, Ralph Fulford.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday at Chandler Funeral Home in Ellettsville. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Liberty Methodist Church with Brother Micah Walls officiating.Burial is to follow at Liberty Church cemetery with military graveside rites by the Monroe County Veterans Honor Guard.

Anderson - Mary V. (Ryan) Downward, 91, Anderson, died August 29, 2003 at Manor Care, Anderson after an extended illness.
She was born June 20, 1912 in Markleville, Indiana, and was a lifelong resident of this area. She was a 1930 graduate of Anderson High School
Previously she had worked for ten years at a local dry cleaners.
She was 50 yr. member of Order of Eastern Star Chapter #154, in Anderson. She loved to read, sew and listen to music.
She is survived by her two daughters, Betty K. & husband, Edward G. VanTighem of Great Falls, Montanna and Karen S. Richardson of Indianapolis; two grandsons, Greg VanTighen of Tacoma, Washington and Ted VanTighem of Great Falls, Montana; two great granddaughters, Emma L. VanTighem and Random L. VanTighem, both of Great Falls, Montana; along with several nieces, nephews and one cousin
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas William Downward, whom she married September 23, 1933, and who passed away on October 25 1983; one sister and two brothers.
Services will be Sunday, August 31, 2003 at 2:30 PM, at Robert D. Loose Funeral Home, South Chapel, with Rev. Susan Cameron officiating.
Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery, Anderson .
Visitation will be from 12:30 - 2:30 PM on Sunday, August 31, 2003 at Robert D. Loose Funeral Home, South Chapel.

William J. Himes

Anderson - William John Himes Jr., 77, Anderson, died August 30, 2003 at his residence after an extended illness.
He was born January 22, 1926 in Hamilton County, and resided in Anderson. He had lived in this area his entire life.
He retired from Guide Lamp Division of General Motors after forty years of service.
He was a member of Madison Masonic Lodge #44 F & AM in Pendleton. He was a member of the Murat Temple of Indianapolis and the Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis. He was also a member of the Veteran Car Club of the Murat Temple
He is survived by his two stepsons, John Robert Lyons and wife Bonnie of Anderson, and Richard Lyons and wife Sherril of Anderson. A brother Robert W. Himes and wife Carla of Pendleton. Two sisters Wilma Jean Siegal of Lake Oswego OR. and Nancy K. Fuller of Pataskala OH. Two sisters-in-law, Linda and Carol Himes of Anderson. 13 grandchildren, Steve Carter and wife Becky. Morris Savage and wife Janet, Rick Savage and wife Selby, Terry Lyons, David Himes, Louis Lyons wife Colleen, Lori Bubenzer and companion Joe Nicholson, Leigh Dick and husband Jeff, Lynn Hill and husband Pat, Cindy Wilhoite and husband Steve, Shelly Breece and husband Mike, Rob Lyons and wife Michelle all of Anderson and Mike Himes and wife Kathy of Indianapolis. Fourteen great granddaughters and nine great grandsons, a great, great, granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by his wife Evelette Carolle Himes in 1992, his parents William J. and Sadie (Good) Himes. Three brothers, Russell E. Himes, Kenneth C. Himes, and Frederick E. Himes. A sister Betty Lou Himes, a stepson Charles W. Lyons and a stepdaughter Betty C. Himes and a great-granddaughter Jessica Lee Lyons.
Services will be Wednesday 9/03/2003 at 10:00 am Wednesday, at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes- South Chapel, with Rev. Roy Norville officiating.
Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery, Anderson .
Visitation will be from 4:00- 8:00 pm on Tuesday 9/02/2003 at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes- South Chapel.
A Masonic Service will be held Tuesday evening at 7:00 pm at the South Chapel

Anderson - Clara "Virginia" (Sanders) Luster, 87, Anderson, died October 17, 2003 at St. Johns Health System, Anderson Indiana after an extended illness.
She was born May 4, 1916 in Mattoon, Illinois, and was an Anderson resident since 1952.
She retired from St. John's Hospital as a Pharmacy Technician and Nursing Assistant in 1979.
She was a member of the Busco Club.
She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Jane & husband John Lockhart of Anderson; three grandchildren, Jody & husband Robert Perkins of Pendleton, Toby & husband Larry Rodecap of Anderson and Tim & wife Diana Basey of Markleville; five great grandchildren, Kendra Rodecap, Kyle Rodecap, Kaleb Basey, Lindsay Basey and Seth Basey and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by her husband whom she married July 2, 1938, Menis K. Luster; parents, Earl & Caldocia (Anderson) Sanders and a son, Dale Eugene Luster.
Services will be Monday, October 20, 2003 at 1:00 PM, at Robert D. Loose Funeral Home, South Chapel, with Rev. Keith Wooden officiating.
Burial will be in East Maplewood cemetery, Anderson.
Visitation will be from 11-1:00 PM on Monday, October 20, 2003 at South Chapel.

Jeffery L. Truelock
Jeff L. Truelock of Bloomington died at IU Health-Bloomington Hospital on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at the age of 57.
Jeff was born to Wally and Lita (Dozier) Truelock on June 5, 1954 in Vincennes. He was a Private in the United States Army serving during the Vietnam Era. Jeff worked in Ft. Meyers, FL at Kelly Greens Golf Course as a landscaper. He was an exceptional golfer and enjoyed fishing and walking on the family property daily. He was a member of the South Union Christian Church.
Jeff is survived by his parents, Wally and Lita Truelock of Bloomington; children, Jeffery A. Truelock of Indianapolis, Marlene L. Elridge of Virginia Beach, VA, Eric W. Truelock and Andrew Truelock both of Bedford; nine grandchildren, and siblings, Randy of Spencer, Lynn of Indianapolis, and Danny of Bloomington; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
There will be no visitation or services. Chandler Funeral Home in Ellettsville is assisting with the arrangements and online condolences may be sent to the family by clicking here.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association.

She is survived by her Four Children: Dee Wayne & wife Anna Jackson of Anaheim, California. Sue Ann & husband Marty Katz of Palm Springs, California. Bonnie Sloan of Anderson. Todd & wife Dian Sullivan of Anderson. Daughter-in-law: Becky Sullivan of Anderson. Two Sisters-in-law: Barbara Rees of Anderson and Louise Rees of Anderson. Six Grandchildren and Six Great Grandchildren. Her cat: Teddy.
She was preceded by her Parents: Lanie L. & Bertha M. (Evilsizer) Rees. Two Sons: Allen Lee Jackson and Stanley Sullivan. Three Brothers: Charles Rees, Gerald Rees and Lester Rees.
Services will be Tuesday, October 21, 2003 at 11:30 AM, at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel. 200 W. 53rd Street; Anderson, with Rev. Rob Miflin officiating.
Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery, Anderson.
Visitation will be from 9:30-11:30 AM on Tuesday, October 21, 2003 at funeral home, south chapel.
