She was born October 24, 1939 in Muncie, Indiana, and resided in Anderson, Indiana. She lived in this area most of her life.
She retired from the Human Resource Department in 2000 from Community Hospital after 36 years of service. She previously worked in Nursing Administration.
She was a 1957 graduate of Madison Heights High School and Ball State University in 1961 with a Nursing Degree.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Anderson.
She is survived by her Two Sons: Byron Kirk & wife Teresa Smith of Brownsburg. Eric Birt & Angela Smith of Frankfort. Brother: Donald & wife Shirley Birt of Holly Springs, North Carolina. Sister: Helen & husband Larry Holler of Coldwater, Ohio. Seven Grandchildren.
She was preceded by her Husband: Paul Smith on July 31, 1999. Parents: Howard & Florence (Swartz) Birt.
Services will be Thursday, December 4, 2003 at 1:00 PM, at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel. 200 W. 53rd Street; Anderson, with Rev. Bruce McNealy officiating.
Burial will be in Elm Ridge cemetery-Muncie .
Visitation will be from 2-4:00 and 6-8:00 PM on Wednesday, December 3, 2003 at funeral home, south chapel.
Contributions may be made to Communiy Hospital of Anderson Foundation or Donor's Choice.

David William Bruhn
David William Bruhn, infant son of David R. Bruhn and Melissa (Beaty) Bruhn passed away at home on Saturday, September 3, 2011.
He was born on May 8, 2011 in Bloomington. He is survived by his parents and four sisters, Ashley, Jordan, Savannah, and Juliannah all of Bloomington.
Graveside services will be held at Chambersville cemetery on Friday, September 9, 2011 at 1:00 p.m.

Anderson - Conrad Morton "Red" Moore, 77, Anderson, died December 1, 2003 at I.U. Medical Center-Indianapolis after a brief illness.
He was born December 30, 1925 in Sheridan, Indiana, and resided in Anderson, Indiana. He was a resident of this area for most of his life.
He retired from supervision at Delco Remy Division of General Motors in 1982.
He received a Bachelors degree from Ball State University in 1957.
He served his country in the US Army during WWII as a 1st Sergeant in the 66th and 42nd Infantry Division. He received a Bronze Star, European Occupation Medal, Victory Medal, American Campaign, Combat Infantry Badge, Sharpshooter Medal and African-European Campaign Medal. He was a survivor of the USS Leopoldville sinking on December 24, 1944 in the English Channel.
He was a former Boy Scout leader, Little League Baseball coach, High School teacher and basketball coach. He was an avid golfer, bowler and motorcycle enthusiast.
He is survived by his wife whom he married February 1, 1947 in Tipton, Indiana, Helen (Tishner) Moore. Children, Michael Moore of Ossian, Steven & wife Connie Moore of Huntington, Debra & husband Michael Lewis of Huntington and Lisa & husband Dain Egly of Anderson. Brothers, Herschel Moore of Arcadia and James D. & wife Phyllis Moore of Arcadia. Sister, Mardell Harwood of Sheridan; Grandchildren, Dr. Steven A. Moore Jr. & wife Ambika of Indianapolis, Rachel Moore of Indianapolis, Andrew Lewis of Huntington, Kari Lewis of Mechanicsburg and Jessica Egly of Anderson. Great grandchild, Noah Lewis of Huntington. Several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by his parents, John Herschel & Katherine (Crooks) Moore. Daughter, Vickie Lynn Moore.
Services will be Friday, December 5, 2003 at 2:30 PM, at Robert D. Loose Funeral Home & Crematory, South Chapel. 200 W. 53rd Street; Anderson.
Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery, Anderson .
Visitation will be from 4-8:00 PM on Thursday, December 4, 2003 at Funeral Homes, South Chapel.
Military rites will be conducted by the VFW Post #266.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Christian Center, 625 Main Street, Anderson, IN 46016.

Emma Rachel Mitchner
Emma Rachel Mitchner, 84, of Ellettsville went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at 12:15 a.m. at the Owen Valley Health Campus.
She was born to Nye Altop and Gertrude Marie (Petite) Altop in Bloomington on January 13, 1927. Rachel was a homemaker and worked at the Monroe County Courthouse as a custodian, a member of Ralph Rogerss staff, and at the Showers Factory. She was a member of the McCormicks Creek United Pentecostal Church for over 40 years. Rachel enjoyed attending garage sales and stopped at every one she would pass. She liked to play bingo and no one had a better reputation as a babysitter than her.
Rachel is survived by her children, Betty Arnold and her husband Sam of Freedom, Judy Miller of Spencer, Jim Langley and his wife Aleatha of Ellettsville, and Bobby Langley and wife Linda of Solsberry; eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; brother, Billy Altop, sisters, Alma Beers, Patty Scott, Nancy Muskgrave, Nellie Stancomb, Mildred Hatley; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ned Langley and Robert Mitchner; daughters, Mary Ann Langley, Margie Lou Langley; brothers, Donnie, Bobby, Edward and sisters, Lucille, Mable, Dorothy, Cory, and Helen.
Funeral services will be held at Chandler Funeral Home in Ellettsville on Monday, June 27, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Rick Robertson officiating. Burial is to follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens. Visitation will be on Sunday, June 26, 2011 from 2:00-6:00 and again on Monday one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Harry Leon Kincaid

Anderson - Harry Leon Kincaid, 75, Anderson, died December 2, 2003 at his residence after an extended illness.
He was born February 5, 1928 in Anderson, Indiana, and resided in Anderson, Indiana. He lived in Anderson all of his life.
He retired from Delco Remy Division of General Motors after 33 years of service as a supervisor.
He was a 1947 graduate of Anderson High School.
He was active in Outboard Motor Racing and belonged to the Indiana Outboard Motor Association and the American Power Boat Association during 1950-1960, having won 5 National Championships. He was an avid Soap Box Derby enthusiast from childhood to the present. He entered his first race at the age of 12 in 1940. He volunteered his time for many worthwhile causes and enjoyed life to the fullest.
He is survived by his Wife: Shirley (Beatty) Kincaid. Sister-in-law: Janie Rada of Monroe, Louisiana. Several cousins including: Connie Seybert Mitchell of Indianapolis.
He was preceded by his Parents: Harry C. & Ferne (Seybert) Kincaid. Son: Vincent Kincaid. Father-in-law: Lester Beatty. Mother-in-law: Irene Beatty.
Services will be Saturday, December 6, 2003 at 10:00 AM, at East Maplewood cemetery, but will leave the funeral home in procession at 9:30 AM, with Rev. Richard True officiating.
Burial will be in East Maplewood cemetery, Anderson .
Visitation will be from 4-8:00 PM on Friday, December 5, 2003 at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel. 200 W. 53rd Street; Anderson.
Contributions may be made to St. John's Health System Hospice.

Barbara McGlocklin
Barbara A. McGlocklin of Stinesville passed away at Richland Bean Blossom Health Care Center on Sunday, September 04, 2011 at the age of 80.
She was born on March 3, 1931 in Bloomington to Spencer and Beatrice (Walker) Brown. Barbara attended high school at Stinesville High School and graduated with the class of 1950. She worked at the Stinesville Elementary School in the kitchen for over 28 years until she retired. She was active in many organizations including the Bean Blossom Township Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary, the Stinesville Parks Board, Chambersville cemetery Board, and the Quarry Lassie Club. She was a member of both the Stinesville Methodist Church and the Simpson Chapel Church.
Barbara is survived by her three sons, Robert McGlocklin (Barbara) of Ellettsville, Ron McGlocklin (Susan) of Bloomington, and Scott McGlocklin (Vicki) of Stinesville; grandchildren, Shannon (Reid) Dallas, Sean (Delia) McGlocklin, Bobby (Carley) McGlocklin, Shallan McGlocklin, Samantha McGlocklin, Kelsey McGlocklin, and Tayler McGlocklin; great grandchildren, Brycen McGlocklin, Tristan McGlocklin, Kylie McGlocklin, Ashlyn Dallas, Amery Dallas, Hayden McGlocklin, and Ava McGlocklin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harry McGlocklin (1998), and brother, Gene Brown.
Funeral services will be held at Chandler Funeral Home on Friday, September 9, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Brother John Baker officiating. Burial is to follow at Chambersville cemetery. Friends may call upon the family on Thursday from 4-8 at the funeral home.

David O. Stogdill
David O. Stogdill of Ellettsville passed away at IU Health-Bloomington Hospital on Thursday, August 18, 2011 at the age of 73.
David was born to the late Otto and Beulah (Wootton) Stogdill in Bedford on February 12, 1938. He served in the US Army. David worked at RCA and Otis Elevator before he retired. Davids passion was coin collecting and he was a great mechanic, being able to work on just about anything. He was a member of Paynetown Church.
David is survived by his wife of 50 years, Shirley (Lawson) Stogdill; sons, Steven Stogdill and David W. Stogdill; grandchildren, Shelbi, Ethan and Dustin Stogdill; brothers, Kenneth, James, Joe, and Sam Stogdill; sisters, Thelma Strunk, Betty Reynolds, Mary Long, Lou Ella Stogdill, and Sarah Mullis; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at Chandler Funeral Home in Ellettsville on Monday, August 22, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Cheryl Crum and Pastor Larry Mitchell officiating. Friends may call upon the family on Monday from 5-7 at the funeral home.

He was born July 4, 1943 in Louisville, Kentucky, and was a lifelong resident of this area.
He retired from Delphi Automotive Division of General Motors as a mechanical engineer.
He served in the Indiana National Guard.
He was a member of Pendleton United Methodist Church. Hunting, fishing, motorcycle riding and the outdoors were his favorite things.
He is survived by his wife of 4 years, Marcia Jones; two sons, Brad Jones and Chris Jones; former wife of 26 years, Patty Jones; siblings, Ronald E. Jones of Pendleton, Wilma Joyce Waddell of Seattle, Washington, Twin brother, Robert M. Jones of Fitzgerald, Georgia, Bill Jones of Knightstown and Debra Helpling of Alexandria; grandchild, Blake Buxton of Indianapolis; nieces and nephews, Chelsea Lynn Tooley, Brianna Jones, Shelby Helpling, Dillion Helpling, Brooklyn Shepherd, Bridget Simmons, Randy Jones, Darchel Jones, Danielle Jones, Amber Jones, Kelly Waddell, Kandi Waddell, Kerri Waddell, Rodney Jones and Stephanie Tooley; special friends, Dan & Linda Roberts, Curt & Karla Hester and Steve & Karen Hester

Burial will be in Mendon cemetery-Pendleton.
Visitation will be from 11-1:00 PM on Thursday, March 10, 2005 at South Chapel.

Carolyn Sue Hamm
Carolyn Sue Hamm of Solsberry passed away at IU Health-Bloomington Hospital on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at the age of 74.
Carolyn was born on June 1, 1937 in Bedford to the late Jesse and Helena Mae (Arnold) Lafferty. She was an electronics technician for over 15 years at Indiana University and also worked for Motorola in Arizona and RCA. She was of the Church of Christ Faith. Carolyn loved her family and resided with her daughter, Debbie and her grandson, Levi in Solsberry who both assisted in her care until her passing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hamm in 2007; daughters, Theresa Allen and Anita Hamm; grandson, Timmy Hanners; sisters, Mary Hall and Maxine Hillenburg and brother, George Lafferty.
Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Debbie L. Hamm; sons, Mark Hanners, Lionel Hanners, and Timmy Hanners all of Bedford; step-sons, Robert Hamm, Terry Hamm, and Max Hamm all of Bloomington; sisters, Stella Davidson of Nashville, Rachael Mattox of IL, and Betty Woodward of Ellettsville; grandchildren, Robert Levi Hamm, Brandy Hanners, Julie Hanners, Bryan Hanners, Weston Hanners, and Robin Hanners; step-grandchildren, Amy Klophenstien, Angela Hamm, Sheila Hamm, Bret Hamm and Tyler Hamm and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 3, 2011 at Chandler Funeral Home in Ellettsville at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will be held on Monday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
