OAKTOWN - Jase Clymer, 6, died Thursday, June 7, 2007, at Good Samaritan Hospital. He was a member of First Christian Church.
He is survived by parents, Pamela and Gary; birth parents, Jason Seitz and Stacy Norton; paternal grandmother, Brenda (Mike) Sanders; sister, Brooke Seitz and brothers, Skylar and Cody Clymer and Jonathan Seitz.
Services are 10 a.m. Monday at First Christian Church, with burial in Oaktown cemetery. Visitation is 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the church. McClure-Utt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church.

Virginia Fiscus
SUMNER - Virginia Fiscus, 86, died Thursday, June 7, 2007, at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital. She was a school bus driver and member of Beulah United Methodist Church.
She is survived by son, Harold; daughter, Anita Couts; sister, Dorothy Wells; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services are 1 p.m. Monday at Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home, with burial in Sumner City cemetery. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Beulah United Methodist Church.

Gilda Russell
CHANDLER - Gilda Russell, 61, died Wednesday, June 6, 2007, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.
She is survived by husband, Sherman; children, Glunn, Bill, Steve, Shawn, Sam and Mike; sisters, Gail Carver, Melba Quick, Kathy Fetscher and Lisa Bahlavooni; brothers, Doyle and Gary Beck, and 17 grandchildren.
Services are 2 p.m. Sunday at Koehler Funeral Home, Boonville Chapel, with burial in Ebenezer cemetery in Richland, Ind. Visitation is 3 to 8 p.m. today and noon to service Sunday at the funeral home.

Cecil Mann
GRAHAM - Cecil Mann, 83, died Thursday, June 7, 2007, at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville, Ky. He was a member of Sinking Fork Christian Church. He was also a U.S. Navy veteran and served in World War II.
He is survived by wife, Louise Vandiver; and sisters, Evelyn Franklin and Dorothy Brown.
Services are 2 p.m. Saturday at Beshear Funeral Home, with burial in Bethlehem Church cemetery.

William Jerrell
BRIDGEPORT - William Jerrell, 82, died Thursday, June 7, 2007, at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Church of God of Prophecy in Lawrenceville, Ill. and a laborer for Marathon. He was U.S. Army veteran and served in World War II.
He is survived by son, Steven; daughters, Peggy Deloriea and Patty Stevenson; brother, Carl; sister, Thelma Preston; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and five stepgreat-grandchildren.
Services are 10 a.m. Monday at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home, with burial in Petty cemetery. Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Jean Lampp
CARMI - Jean Lampp, 76, died Friday, June 8, 2007, at Wabash Christian Retirement Center. She had worked at Ainsbrook, GTE and the kitchen at the skilled care unit.
She is survived by daughters, Kathryn Lampp and Terri Wolf and two grandchildren.

John W. Criss
TERRE HAUTE - John W. Criss, 52, of Evansville and formerly of Terre Haute, Ind., died at 9:50 a.m. Thursday, June 7, 2007, at Deaconess Hospice in Evansville after a courageous battle with cancer.
John was a loving husband, father, stepfather, son, brother and friend, and will be missed by all.
He was born June 8, 1954, in Terre Haute, to Gordon E. Criss and Ruth Martin Criss. He married his wife, Sally, on April 7, 2003. He was a member of Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church, a former member of IBEW Local 725 and was an avid golfer. He was lead systems specialist for Johnson Controls.
He is survived by wife, Sally Lou Criss, and stepdaughter, Jamie Searcy, both of Evansville; one stepson, Ryan Edmondson, who's currently serving in Iraq; one daughter, Stacey Criss (and fiance John Green), of Poland, Ind.; mother, Ruth Criss, of Terre Haute; one brother, Gregg Criss (and wife, Anita), of Terre Haute; two sisters, Leanne Braden (wife, Rick) and Amy Thompson (and husband, John), of Terre Haute; two grandchildren, Brianna Hoff and Courtney Hoof; several nieces and nephews and beloved pet, Nikki-Do.
He was preceded in death by father, Gordon E. Criss.
Services are 1 p.m. Monday at DeBaun Springhill Chapel, with Pastor Aaron Wheaton officiating. Burial in Mount Pleasant cemetery. Visitation is 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at DeBaun Springhill Chapel.
Pallbearers are Larry Aselage, Bryan Sharpe, Jim Quinlan, Tom Nicoson, Terry Wehmeyer and Dick Stockberger.
Special thanks to Dr. Shirey and his staff and the Deaconess Hospice Care Center.

Walter Haberlock
PRINCETON - Walter Haberlock, 80, died Thursday, June 7, 2007, at his home. He was a retired superintendent of the Asphalt Stone Co. and member of St. Paul's Catholic Church. He was also an U.S. Army veteran and served in the Korean War.
He is survived by wife, Josephine; sons, Jeff, Robbie, Mark, Dale, Walter and Scott; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services are 11 a.m. today at St. Paul's Catholic Church, with burial in Cedar Hill cemetery, with military rites.
Memorial contributions may be made to Pennyroyal Hospice Inc., 101 W. 18th St., Hopkinsville, KY 42240.

Carles Starrick
MARION - Carles Starrick, 73, died Thursday, June 7, 2007, at Livingston Hospital & Healthcare Services in Salem, Ky. He was a retired timber buyer.
He is survived by wife, Betty; daugher, Cathy Conyer, Diana Watson, Shirley Sosh and Debbie Myers; son, Danny; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services are 2 p.m. Sunday at Myers Funeral Home, with burial in Repton cemetery. Visitation is after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Karen Weaver
May 19, 2013
Karen S. (Eastham) Weaver, 55 of Peru, formerly of Logansport, passed away at 5:15 a.m. Sunday, May 19, 2013 in Caring Hands Health Rehabilitation Center.
Born January 30, 1958 in Rushville, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Mary Hampton Eastham. She was married October 31, 1980 to Jeffery Weaver, who survives.
A healthcare worker, Karen had worked at the former County Home for over 20 years.
Karen was a member of the Eagles Aerie #323. She enjoyed music and dancing. She loved to play Bingo and cards as well. A very out-going person, Karen had a wonderful sense of humor. She dearly loved time spent with her family and friends.
Surviving are her husband are two daughters, Terri Weaver (Jerry Weathers) of Wisconsin, and Stephanie Hayden (Tony) of Logansport; one sister, Debra Boatright (Steve) of Peru; two brothers, Eugene Eastham (Nancy) and Mike Eastham (Catherine) all of Logansport; her husband's siblings, Marilyn Izacc of Kokomo, John Weaver (Ray) of Kokomo, Larry Weaver (Barb) of Walton, IN, Jack Weaver (Jenni), of Tennessee and Caroline Mast of Kokomo; her grandchildren, Johnny, Shannon, Michael, Jeffery, all of Wisconsin, and Janet Sue Shepard, of Indianapolis; several nieces and nephews; and close friends, Becky and Ed Campbell of Logansport.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband's parents, Mary and Russell Weaver; one sister, Janet Russow; and one broher, Bill Eastham.
A funeral service will be held at Fisher Funeral Chapel, at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2013, where an Eagles auxilary service will be conducted at the start of the funeral.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. until the time of the service.
Inurnment will be in the Mount Hope cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Karen Weaver Memorial Fund in care or Fisher Funeral Chapel. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Fisher Funeral Chapel with ab Eagles Auxilary service just prior to the funeral.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2013, until the time of the service.
Inurnment will be in Mount Hope cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions nay be made to the Karen Weaver fund through Fisher Funeral Chapel.

George E. Lee
February 22, 1919 - May 17, 2013
George E. Lee, 94, of Clarks Hill, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2013 in Creasy Springs.
George was born on February 22, 1919 in Kempton, IN to the late James Martin Lee and Flora Belle (Wilson) Lee.
He graduated from Kempton High School in 1937. George served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He was a Staff Sargent while he was stationed in the European theater and received a Purple Heart.
On August 24, 1946, he married Evelyn Mae Parvis in the Parsonage at Colfax, IN. She preceded him in death on September 25, 2008.
George worked for Purdue University in the auto maintenance department from 1957 until 1981 when he retired. He had previously worked for Ford Garage in Frankfort.
He was a member of Clarks Hill Christian Church, Miller Lodge #246, and the American Legion of Colfax. George loved to spend time with his family, fishing, planting flowers, and bird watching-especially his wrens.
George is survived by his daughter, Dianne McMurtrie (husband: Harold Dean) of Clarks Hill. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Michelle Zarse (husband: David) of Clarks Hill and Rick Rascoe (wife: Amy) of Rensselaer; 9 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
Services will be held at Fisher Funeral Chapel on Wednesday May 22, 2013 at 1pm with Matt Prelock officiating. Interment will follow at Concord cemetery, Stockwell with full Military Honors. Friends may call Wednesday from 11 to 1pm at Fisher Funeral Chapel.

Kevin E. Summitt
August 20, 1983 - May 11, 2013
Kevin E. Summitt, 29, of Lafayette, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2013 in Fransican St. Elizabeth East.
Kevin was born on August 20, 1983 in Frankfort, to Floyd "Gene" Summitt and Christine Marie (Davey) Beck.
On April 25, 2008, he married Nicole Dyer in Lafayette; she survives. Kevin and Nicole renewed their wedding vows and were baptized on April 25, 2013.
Kevin had been working for Lafayette Wire as a Welder.
He was a member of Brady Lane Church of Christ. Kevin enjoyed being outside, singing, working with the church volunteers, paintballing, and loved teaching his son new things.
Surviving with his wife, Nicole, are his parents; his grandparents, William and Lucetra Summitt of Arkansas; his children, Kevin Alexander "Alex" Summitt of Lafayette and Aaliyah Summitt and Paris Summitt of Kokomo; a brother, Justin Montgomery of Frankfort; a sister, Amanda Summitt of Danville, IL; and his grandmother, Marita Davey.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Richard "Dick" Davey and his uncle, Brian Davey.
Services will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. at Brady Lane Church of Christ with Pastor William Overbay officiating. Interment will follow at Wyandotte cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday at Brady Lane Church of Christ.
Memorial donations may be made to the Kevin Summitt Memorial Fund to help the family with funeral expenses. Envelopes will be available at the church.

Shirley Mae Powell
March 24, 1938 - May 21, 2013
Shirley Mae Powell, 75, of Logansport, passed away peacefully at 10:40 p.m.Tuesday, May 21, 2013 in Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Born March 24, 1938 in Leipsic, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Harry Joseph and Bertha Grace Titus Smith. She was married to Everett Powell who preceded her in death in 1995.
Shirley was retired from SUS Cast Products Inc.
She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. Shirley loved spending time in her yard, gardening and tending to her flowers. She had crocheted many beautiful items over the years. Her best times were those moments spent with family and friends. The laughter of a house full of children was her treasure in this life.
Surviving are her companion, Clayton Archambault, of Logansport; seven sons and daughters-in-law, Huey Sowards (Kathleen), William "Spunk" Powell (Mary Ann), Donald Powell (Mary), Mark Powell (Korin), Jimmy Powell (Tammy), Brian Powell (Breen) and Douglas Powell (Kristie), all of Logansport; seven brothers, Harry Smith, John Smith, Dick Smith, Tom Smith, Frank Smith, Carl Smith and Pat Smith, all of Logansport; three sisters, Barbara Ervin, Nancy Beebout and Donna Watson, all of Logansport; seventeen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Tina Marie Sowards; one grandson, Jimmy Dean Powell; two sisters, Frieda Garrison and Mary Harvey; and one brother, Michael Smith.
A funeral service will be held at Fisher Funeral Chapel, 1801 Chase Road, Logansport, at 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2013 with Pastor Brandon Hudson officiating.
Interment will follow in the Mount Hope cemetery, Logansport.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m.Thursday, May 23 at the funeral chapel.
