Donald Lee Clary
May 22, 1921 - September 05, 2015
Donald Lee Clary, 94, of Warren, Indiana, formerly of Lucerne, passed away at 11:15 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015, in his residence at Heritage Pointe.
Born May 22, 1921, in Lucerne, he was the son of the late Hanford M. and Jessie Pearl (Day) Clary.
Don was a 1939 graduate of Burnettsville High School.
On April 25, 1942, he enlisted in the U.S. Army. During WWII, he was assigned to the 301st Ordinance Regiment, where he served from North Africa, through the landings at Marsailles, France in October of 1944, to Chaumont. There, he was transferred to the 4th Infantry Division as the Battle of the Bulge ended and the German Campaign began. He was honorably discharged in October 1945 with the EAME Theater Ribbon with 3 bronze stars, serving in battles and campaigns in Tunisa, Rhineland and Central Europe.
On December 14, 1947, he was married to Myla Elizabeth (Vandercook) Clary, who survives.
He had 33 years of public service, including his military service. The remainder was in the postal service, including on the Railway Post Office. The last 22 yrs he was a rural mail carrier. He retired in 1981.
He was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church in Lucerne.
Surviving with his wife are two sons, Brian L. Clary ( wife: Kathleen Neer) of Matteson, Illinois, and Alan Day Clary (wife: Cheri McKee Clary) of Indianapolis; one grandson, Jacob Neer Clary (wife: Elly Clary).
He was preceded in death by one sister, Martha Holliday.
A funeral service celebrating the life of Don Clary will be held at 10:30 a.m Wednesday Sept. 9, 2015 with Pastor Tim Minnick officiating.
Burial, with military honors, will follow at Zion cemetery, Lucerne.
Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8th in the funeral chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Zion United Methodist Church, in care of Janet Layer, treasurer, 9501 North Royal Center Pike, Royal Center, IN 46978.

Tabitha "Tabi" Mitchell
February 16, 1984 - August 08, 2015
Tabitha "Tabi" G. Mitchell, 31, of Lafayette, died August 8, 2015 in Joplin Missouri from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Tabitha was born February 16, 1984 in Lafayette, Indiana, the daughter of James and Patricia Mitchell.
Tabi attended Webb City High School and was a graduate of the class of 2002. She enjoyed music, dancing and spending time with her family and friends.
Surviving with her parents is her son, Austin Ray, her siblings; Jessica (Jason) Lee of Lafayette, James Mitchell II of Webb City, Missouri and Katie Lynch (Thomas) of Chico, California.
Also surviving are her aunt's; Misty Dawn and Janice Tynes, and her uncles; Morgan and David Wynn and her Grandpa and Grandma Brinson.
Visitation will be Sunday from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. at the Fisher Funeral Chapel, Lafayette. Services celebrating the life of Tabi will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral chapel. Burial will follow at Historic Spring Vale cemetery
Memorial Contributions may be made to her son, Austin in memory of his mother. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Ronald Lowell Popejoy
February 01, 1946 - August 30, 2015
Ronald Lowell Popejoy, 69, of Logansport, passed away at 3:20 p.m. Sunday, August 30, 2015, in St. Vincent's Hospital, Kokomo.
Born February 1, 1946, in Lafayette, he was the son of the late Russell Lowell and Nola Pearl (Yergin) Popejoy.
On January 11, 1980, in Logansport, he married Teresa (Anderson) Popejoy, who survives.
A 1964 graduate of Royal Center High School, Ron attended Purdue University. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Ron owned and operated Popejoy Poultry of Lafayette, raising and processing poultry for commercial use. His largest customer was Purdue University. Ron was a longtime school bus driver for the Logansport Community School Corporation. His greatest joy was being the bus driver for the Berries Cheerleading squad.
Ron was a member of First United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 60, Logansport's Tipton Masonic Lodge No. 33 and the Logansport Shrine Club.
Surviving with his wife are one son, Tony Popejoy of Indianapolis; one daughter-in-law, Amanda Dillon of Logansport; three grandchildren, Alex Jones, Elana Popejoy and Leila Popejoy; three brothers, Jim (Jenny) Popejoy of Lafayette, Larry (Karla) Popejoy and David Popejoy, all of Logansport; one sister Connie VanDyne of Logansport; his mother-in-law Shirley Anderson of Logansport; his father-in-law Jack (Donna) Anderson of Logansport; three half-sisters; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one son, Jonathon Popejoy.
A funeral service celebrating the life of Ron Popejoy will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015, in Fisher Funeral Chapel with Rev. Don Cline officiating.
Burial will follow in Mount Hope cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2nd in the funeral chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to Cause for Paws.

Keelyn Michael Rossi
July 17, 2014 - November 12, 2014
Keelyn Michael Rossi, 3 months old, of Lafayette, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at St. Elizabeth East.
He was born on July 17, 2014 in Lafayette to Ryan Kidder and Sierra Marie Rossi who survive in Lafayette.
Also surviving are grandparents, Brenda and Tommy Butcher, Jennifer Ellison, Michael Rossi, Michelle Kidder, and Donald and Linda Kidder.
He was preceded in death by his aunt, Haley Ann Rossi and uncle, Michael Ellison.
Services will be on Monday, November 17, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be on Monday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in North Union cemetery.

James Thangarajan
April 28, 1983 - February 18, 2008
James Thangarajan, 24, of West Lafayette, died Monday, February 18, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette.
Born April 28, 1983 in Colombo, Sri Lanka, he was the son of Samuel Thangarajan and Annette Thangarajan, who survive.
Surviving with his parents in Dubai are a brother, William Thangarajan; and an uncle, Ronald (wife: Doreen) Jeyaseelan of Dundas, Ontario.
James had completed a degree in Computer Science and was working on a degree in Computer Information Technology.
As a member of the service fraternity Alpha Phi Omega, he held over a dozen positions, including multiple Vice Presidencies. He had over 30 hours of community service each semester. He was always a happy and supportive presence in the office, brightening everyone's day.
James was an active member of Boiler Gold Rush (BGR), the freshmen orientation program at Purdue. He served as a Team Leader for one year, a Team Supervisor for one year, and was 1/3 of the Recruitment and Selection team for the Student Orientation Committee in 2006.
James also worked for ITaP (Information Technology at Purdue) for the majority of his time at Purdue. He was currently serving as a Resident Assistant (RA) for Shreve Hall.
James loved to read, especially during the summer. He frequented the local libraries and would read multiple books a week. James also loved music; many of his friends will comment on his love for calling people and singing them songs to brighten their day. Some of his favorite music includes: Broadway Musical Soundtracks (especially the one from Rent), Disney Soundtracks, and Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'". He also enjoyed listening to and singing a lot of jazz standards -Frank Sinatra and the like.
James loved doing anything that allowed him to be creative and help other people, especially if he could make other people smile.

The funeral service is scheduled to take place on Saturday, February 23rd at 11:30am at the Faith Baptist Church on 5526 State Road 26 East, Lafayette, IN 47905. The viewing time will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. on this date. The service is expected to last about an hour directly after the viewing. There will be a reception afterwards at Shreve Hall, with the family's blessing for that event. That will be in the West Study lounge at 1 PM. Fisher-Loy Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.

Audrey L. Killian
August 23, 1928 - February 12, 2016
Audrey L Killian, 87, of Lafayette, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2016.
She was born on August 23, 1928 in White County to the late Homer and Mildred (Hathaway) Harmon.
On July 31, 1948, she married Robert E. Killian in Lafayette at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on September 15, 2007.
Audrey worked as a nanny for many families in Washington State and worked as a cook for the Tippecanoe County Home. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, shopping, and puzzles. Audrey loved traveling, she had visited all 50 states, Mexico, and Nova Scotia. She spent her winters in Alamo, Texas.
Surviving are many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Martha Maxine Kauffman; half sister, Jane Kipp Jarrard; and half brother, Floyd Douglas Kipp.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Chapel, Lafayette with Funeral Services at 1 p.m. with Father Ziegler officiating. Interment will in Tippecanoe Memory Garden.

Marjorie Gibbs
August 02, 1943 - February 15, 2016
Marjorie Gibbs, 72, of Royal Center, passed away Monday, Feb. 15, 2016, in her home surrounded by her family following a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Born August 2, 1943, in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Glenn DeWitt and Dorothy (Poff) Toothman.
On Sept. 18, 1960, in the 17th St. Church of the Brethren in Logansport, she married Richard Gibbs, who survives.
For 17 years, she worked for Essex Wire/White-Rodgers. Following that, she worked for ten years in the toy department at Walmart.
She was a member of the Baptist Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign War Post 3790.
Surviving with her husband are three children: Rickey (Lisa) Gibbs of Logansport, Lisa Kathrens of Finley, Ohio, and Randy (Rebecca) Gibbs of Haleyville, Alabama; three sisters, Jane Shows of Florida, Cheryl Robinson of Louisiana and Patty (John) Campbell of Kokomo; ten grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one grandson, Paul William Gibbs.
A private viewing will be held prior to cremation to honor Marjorie's wishes. Burial will be in Lucerne cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.

Janet Alicia (Nana) Prophitt
April 15, 1962 - February 15, 2016
Janet Alicia "Nana" Prophitt, 53, of Logansport, passed away at 11:10 a.m, Monday, February 15, 2016, in her home surrounded by her family.
Born April 15, 1962, in Sumpter, South Carolina she was the daughter of Alicia (Wood) Meacham and the late James L. Meacham Jr. Her mother survives in Logansport.
On March 16, 1999, in Logansport, she was married to Paul Jerome Prophitt, who survives.
A 1980 graduate of Logansport High School, Janet had previously worked as a caretaker at Camelot and with the LEJSSE program in the school.
Janet was a member of Chapel Ministries Outreach. She was an excellent cook and loved to bake. Janet was artistic and enjoyed painting and crafts. She especially loved her grandchildren. She was "Nana" or "Mom" to everyone.
Surviving with her husband and mother are her children: Amanda Prophitt, Michael (Kim) Prophitt, Kimberly Flowers, Brett (Ashlie)Kepner, Mikey Prophitt and Tony Prophitt, two sisters Paulette Meacham and Cindy Gaby; five grandchildren: Brayden Kepner, Domanic Flowers, Psalm Prophitt, Ember Prophitt and Leo Mohr; nephew Alvin Smith, Tate and Austin Gaby; and nieces Katelynn Smith and Taylor Gaby.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one brother James Alvin Meacham; infant twin brothers, and grandson, Elijah Prophitt.
A funeral service celebrating the life of Janet Prophitt will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday in Fisher Funeral Chapel with Rob Clover and Pastor Tom Robbins officiating.
Visitation hours will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. prior to the service on Thursday in the chapel.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Fisher Funeral Chapel to assist with her final expenses.
