December 19, 1957 - February 08, 2016
Scott A. Holmes, 58, of Stockwell, passed away on Monday, February 8, 2016.
He was born on December 19, 1957 in Danville, Il to the late George F. Holmes and to Beverly J. (Rennick) Holmes.
Scott graduated from Covington High School in 1976 and went on to serve in the United States Army.
He worked for Wabash National as a welder.
Scott enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, and working outside.
Surviving are his mother, Beverly J. Holmes of Danville, IL; his fiancAŠe of 15 years, Katherine Toney of Stockwell; step children, Nicholas (Jenna) Jones, Adam Jones, and Aaron (Amanda Scott) Jones; step children from a previous marriage, Lacy, Scotty, and Honey Marie; brothers, Jerry (Paula) Holmes of Covington and Kenny (Sharon) Holmes of Covington; sisters, Rosie (Larry) Wilson of Danville, IL and Susie Holmes of Indianapolis; brother-in-laws, Jim Toney, Howard Toney, Jeff Toney, and David Toney; and sister-in-laws, Debbie Toney and Rosie Barnes. Also surviving his grandchildren, Ashton, Aubree, Piper, Holly, Ayah, and MaeMae.
He was preceded in death by an infant brother.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2016 from 2 to 4 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow at 4 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Chapel, Lafayette.
Memorial Donations may be made to the family to assist with expenses. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Mona I. Thompson
July 10, 1937 - March 04, 2016
Mona I. Thompson, 78, of Lafayette passed away on Friday, March 4, 2016 at I.U. Arnett Hospital.
She was born on July 10, 1937 in Black Rock in Warren County to the late Harry and Clara Hill O'Connor. Mona grew up in Attica and has been a Lafayette resident since 1955.
Mona graduated from Attica High School with the class of 1955. During her high school years she became both the Track and Homecoming Queen.
Also in 1955, she married Richard D. Franklin and they later divorced in 1981.
In 1985, Mona married Judge Warren B. Thompson in Lafayette. He preceded her in death in 2012.
Mona was mainly a homemaker through the years but she also worked at various places. She worked at Ross Gear from 55-60, Purdue Visual Department from 83-84, and Blocks Department store in the Tippecanoe Mall in the 80's.
Mona was a 40 year member of the Elston Presbyterian Church where she attended Bible study and she was also in the Red Hat Society.
She was known to be a fabulous cook, she enjoyed traveling - especially the 3 cruises she went on, and she enjoyed watching her daily soap operas.
Surviving is her daughter, Leslie Jill Franklin-Macias (husband Javier) of Lafayette; her sisters, C'Bell Briar and Mary (husband Ben) Bowles both of Attica; and her grandson, Ian J. Macias of Lafayette. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her Scottish Terrier, Molly.
Mona's family would like to thank the I.U. Arnett 2nd Floor Staff, Dr. Emerson, Dr. Jaagosild, and Dr. Ugianski for their excellent care and kindness.
A private burial will take place in Grand View cemetery, West Lafayette.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, March 13th at 2 p.m. at the Elston Presbyterian Church with Pastor Rick Ryan officiating.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Elston Presbyterian Church Building and Improvement fund. Envelopes will be available at the church.

Robert L. Ramey
October 22, 1946 - February 07, 2016
Robert L. "Bob" Ramey, 69, of Francesville, passed away on February 7, 2016.
He was born on October 22, 1976 in Rensselaer to the late Ed and Elizabeth (Mahon) Ramey.
Bob graduated from Francesville High School in 1964 and went on to serve his country in the Indiana National Guard.
He was a farmer most of his life and enjoyed working for a friend.
He is survived by his son, Randy Ramey of Francesville; his brother, Jim (Paula) Ramey of Hopkinsville, KY; and sisters, Bev (John) Hmurovic of Munster, Lois (Jason) Bailey of DeMotte, and Jackie (John) Roedler of Minnesota.
Bob is preceded in death by his brothers, Dave Ramey and Mike Ramey.
Arrangements by Fisher Funeral Chapel in Lafayette.
Burial will take place in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, West Lafayette.

Nancy Lee Howard
March 30, 1939 - February 06, 2016
Nancy Lee Howard, 76, of Frankfort, passed away on February 6, 2016.
She was born on March 30, 1939 in North Judson to the late Johnnie and Fannie Mae (Barnett) Howard.
Nancy enjoyed bowling and loved children.
She is survived by her brother, John (Arlene) Howard of Rensselaer and sisters, Dorothy (Boyd) Sellers of Palm Desert, CA and Marianne Eaton of Knox.
Burial will be in Crown Hill cemetery in Knox.

Marilyn A. Norzinskay
June 22, 1933 - February 07, 2016
Marilyn A. Norzinskay, 82, of Logansport, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2016, in Bloomington.
Born June 22, 1933, in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Alfred P. and Louise (Koch) Lovell.
On June 29, 1952, in Logansport, she married Douglas C. Norzinskay. After 60 years of marriage, he preceded her in death March 18, 2013.
Marilyn was a 1951 graduate of Logansport High School. She and her husband, Doug, owned and operated Logan Tire for many years before retiring. Marilyn was also a floral designer at Pleasant Hill Floral Shop for several years.
She was a longtime member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. Marilyn was a member of Psi Iota Xi and was a past president of the sorority. She was an avid doll collector.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Beth Norzinskay of Bloomington; one granddaughter Sarah Norzinskay of Bloomington; and one sister and brother-in-law Betty and Ronald Young of Cumming, Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Louise Norzinskay.
A funeral service celebrating the life of Marilyn Norzinskay will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, in Fisher Funeral Chapel with Dawn Fisher officiating.
Burial will follow in Mount Hope cemetery.
Visitation hours will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday in the funeral chapel.

Marr Mae Minnick
December 09, 1923 - February 25, 2016
Marr Mae Minnick, 92, of Logansport, passed away at 7:16 p.m. Thursday, February 25, 2016, in Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Born December 9, 1923, in South Bend, she was the daughter of the late Chester D. and Mary R. Dewitt Kistler.
Marr was a graduate of Onward High School. She was retired from Tay-Mor Industries. Marr also made many friends while working at Woolworth's and the Harvest House Restaurant in the heyday of the Logansport Mall.
A member of the Lucerne Zion United Methodist Church, Marr was a loving Christian who adored her sons and cherished the title of "grandma and great-grandma." Her family meant the world to her. She was a member of the Royal Center Chapter No. 375 Order of Eastern Star and the Red Hat Society. Her favorite pastimes were crossword puzzles and traveling.
Surviving are four sons Fred (Janice) Minnick of South Bend, Tim (Sandi) Minnick of Royal Center, Eddy Minnick and Brad (Kathy) Minnick, all of Winamac; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son David Minnick; a brother Chester D. "Bud" Kistler; four sisters Betty Myers, Cynthia Martin, Marion McKee and Peg Minglin; and one daughter-in-law Marty Minnick.
A funeral service celebrating the life of Marr Minnick will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2016, in Fisher Funeral Chapel with Pastor Adam Speicher officiating.
Burial will follow in the Royal Center cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home. An Eastern Star service will be conducted at 1:45 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lucerne Zion United Methodist Church .

Mark Edward Burkett
August 04, 1959 - February 24, 2016
Mark Edward Burkett, 56, of Logansport, passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2016, at Community Howard Regional Health. Kokomo.
Born August 4, 1959, in Logansport, he was the son of Dixie (Cottingham) Burkett and the late Clifford C. Burkett. His mother survives in Logansport.
Mark was a 1978 graduate of Logansport High School.
He worked in the maintenance of rental properties and was an automotive mechanic who enjoyed working on cars. Mark also loved to go fishing.
Surviving with his mother are two daughters, Janelle (Joseph) Hill of Logansport and Andromida Conklin of Frankfort; two brothers, Ronald Alan Burkett of Georgia and Kevin (Della) Burkett of Logansport; and three grandchildren.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one son, Jared Levi Burkett and one brother Clifford Arland Burkett.
A funeral service celebrating the life of Mark Burkett will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, February 29 in Fisher Funeral Chapel with Jeff Strite officiating.
Burial will be in Ramer cemetery.
Visitation hours will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, prior to the service, in the funeral chapel.

Dr. Jerome "Jerry" J. Stefaniak
February 06, 1917 - February 18, 2016
Dr. Jerome "Jerry" J. Stefaniak, 99, formerly of West Lafayette, passed away on February 18, 2016.
Jerry was born February 6, 1917 in Two Rivers, Wisconsin to John and Mary (Zimmerhakel) Stefaniak. He graduated from Washington High School in 1935 and received his PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin Madison in 1947.
Jerry married Marian E. Welborn in Terre Haute, IN on August 31, 1946, and she passed away on May 4, 1984. On September 28, 2001, he married Joan Vester Pence in Delray Beach, FL.
Jerry began his lifetime career with Eli Lilly and Company in 1946. He served as the Director of Tippecanoe Laboratories from 1953-1970. In 1970 he became the Director of Pharmaceutical Operations in Indianapolis until his retirement in 1973.
Jerry was a member of the American Chemical Society, American Society for Microbiology, Society of Sigma Xi, Scientific Honor Fraternity, Phi Sigma, Biology Honor Society, and Phi Lambda Upsilon Honorary Chemical Society. He served on the Board of Directors of Purdue National Bank and the Tippecanoe County Area Plan Commission; and was Chairman of Lafayette Rotary Club, President of Lafayette Country Club, President of the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce, and President of Health Inc.
In his free time, he enjoyed golfing, traveling the world, reading, and gardening.
Surviving with his wife, Joan Stefaniak are his daughter, Lynn (Steve) Ginn of Granger, IN; his son, Paul (Lori) Stefaniak of Plano, TX; and his sister, LaVerne Krzizike of Florida. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Todd (Diane) Grundberg, Erin and Brian Ginn, and Ashley and Taylor Stefaniak; great grandchildren, Nick, Luke, Max, and Sam Grundberg; and beloved son-in-law, Richard Meyer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, John; and two brothers, Clarence and Donald.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
