Paul A. Wehrle, 54, died Friday, Feb. 21, 2003, in Butler.

The Fort Wayne native was a U.S. Army veteran and worked as a supervisor at Soil Testing Inc. Surviving are his sons, Damion of Redondo Beach, Calif., and Nathan of Fort Wayne; sisters Rita Quinn of Empire, Mich., Barbara Brubaker of Westville, and Kathleen Cunningham of Cheektowago, N.Y.; and his brother, Jon, of Fort Wayne. Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home. Calling is 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be at Catholic cemetery.

Beatrice F. Cox
Fort Wayne - 1901-2003

Beatrice F. Cox, 101, died Friday, Feb. 21, 2003, at Saint Anne Home in Fort Wayne.

The Huntington native was the executive secretary for the president of Montgomery Wards in Chicago. She was a member of Our Lady of Lakes Catholic Church in Monticello. Surviving are her brother, Father Robert Fosselman of Fort Wayne; three nieces and two nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Father David Fosselman, C.S.C. and John Fosselman; and sisters Claire Lehnen and Eloise Carmichael. Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Huntington, with calling at 9 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at Mount Calvery cemetery, Huntington. Memorials are to St. Jude Children's Hospital, in care of Deal-Robbins & Van Gilder Huntington Chapel.

Richard W. Dolson
Fort Wayne - 1910-2002

Richard W. Dolson, 92, of Fort Wayne, a member of Trinity English Lutheran Church, died Saturday, Dec. 21, 2002 at Lutheran Home.

The Akron, Ohio, native retired in 1964 from International Harvester in management after 43 years of service. He was a member of F & AM Sol D. Bayless Lodge 359 and a 33rd degree in Scottish Rite. Surviving are his wife, Gertrude; a daughter, Sandra K. Dolson of Fort Wayne; a sister, Dorothy Johnson of Grand Rapids, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Richard M. Memorial services will be at a later date. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorials are to Erin's House for Grieving Children or Crossroads Children's Home.

Harry E. Tatum
Fort Wayne - 1933-2002

Harry E. Tatum, 69, of Fort Wayne, died Thursday, Dec. 19, 2002, at home.

The Winchester, Tenn., native retired in 1989 as an electrician. He was a member of Electrician Union Local 1393. Surviving are his wife, Dolly M.; sons Harry of Winchester, Tenn., and John McCann and David Beaver, both of Fort Wayne; daughters Cathleen Tatum of Huntertown, Tina Tatum of Fort Wayne, Sandy Coleman, Pat Beaver, Beverly Beaver and Loise Beaver, all of Fort Wayne; brothers Herschell G. of Winchester, Tenn., and Freddie L. of Philpot, Ky.; sisters Shirley King of Belvidere, Tenn., and Carlyne Alonso of Winchester, Tenn.; 19 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services are 1 p.m. Tuesday at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Road, with calling one hour before services and 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. Burial will be at Highland Park cemetery. Memorials are to Lutheran Hospice.

Richard W. Welbaum
Fort Wayne - 1921-2002

Richard W. Welbaum, 80, of Fort Wayne, a U.S. Navy veteran, died Friday, Dec. 20, 2002, in Fort Wayne.

The Fort Wayne native retired from Dana Corp. Surviving are his wife, Vada; a son, Ron of Garrett; and a daughter, Trudy Platt of Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by a brother, Elwin, and a sister, Berneta. There will be private services. Burial will be at Covington Memorial Gardens. Memorials are to American Heart Association or Hospice Home.

Arthur L. Dodane
Fort Wayne - 1910-2002

Arthur L. Dodane, 92, of Fort Wayne, a World War II U.S. Army Air Forces veteran, died Friday, Dec. 20, 2002 at Lutheran Hospital. The Allen County native retired in 1974 from the U.S. Postal Service as a motor vehicle driver after 22 years of service. He was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church, VFW Post 857 and National Federation of Postal Retirees. Surviving are his wife, Loretta M.; sons Jerry A. of Fort Wayne and Richard J. of Englewood, Fla.; daughters Patricia Duford of Englewood, Fla., and Linda Kien of Middlebury; nine grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial is 7 p.m. today at St. Therese Catholic Church, 2304 Lower Huntington Road, with calling 45 minutes before services. Calling is also from 3 to 6 p.m. today at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Homes, 6810 Old Trail Road. Burial and graveside services are 10 a.m. Tuesday at Catholic cemetery. Memorials are to Masses or Heart Fund.

William C. "Bill" Grepke Sr.
Fort Wayne - 1917-2002

William C. "Bill" Grepke Sr., 85, of Fort Wayne, a former Boy Scout scoutmaster, died Friday, Dec. 20, 2002, at St. Joseph Hospital.

The Fort Wayne native worked for Fruehauf Trailers for 40 years. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and enjoyed western square dancing for 25 years. He was a U.S. Marine veteran. Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Jessie R.; a son, Bill of Fort Wayne; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters. Services are 3 p.m. Thursday at Lutheran Home Chapel, 7601 S. Anthony Blvd., with calling from 1 to 3 p.m. Burial will be at Covington Memorial Gardens. Memorials are to Boy Scout Troop 460 or Lutheran Home.

Surviving are a daughter, Heather Christlieb of Fort Wayne; a son, Kris of Fort Wayne; a sister, Donna Freeland of Schererville; and a granddaughter, McKenzie Christlieb of Fort Wayne. Cletus P. Schenkel, 84, of Fort Wayne, died Saturday, Dec. 21, 2002, in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

The Fort Wayne native retired in 1982 as a self-employed general contractor after 50 years of service. He was a member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Surviving are his wife, Marguerite; sons David P., Cletus P. and Christopher P., all of Fort Wayne; a daughter, Marita Tuohy of Indianapolis; and 17 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, William P., and two sisters. Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Tuesday at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 1105 S. Calhoun St., with calling from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Burial will be at Catholic cemetery.

Marjory I. "Molly" Fisher, 92, of Fort Wayne, a homemaker, died Saturday, Dec. 21, 2002, at Courtland Health & Rehabilitation Center.

"She liked to cook and enjoyed traveling." The Fort Wayne native worked at Gilbaum Manufacturing Co. Surviving are sons Robert C. of Fort Wayne, Ronald L. of New Haven, Norbert D. of Fort Wayne and James L. of Huntertown; daughters Patricia A. Arbuckle of Fort Wayne and Sandra L. Hein of Blairsville, Ga.; a sister, Marilyn Finkhousen of Fort Wayne; a brother, Richard Repine of Fort Wayne; 32 grandchildren; 63 great-grandchildren; and 24 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, William L. Fisher, and second husband, Carl Brockmeyer, and two sisters. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Road, with calling one hour before services. Calling is also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Homes, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road, with vigil service at 3:30 p.m. Burial will be at Lindenwood cemetery. Memorials are to Catholic Charities or Masses.
