SOUTH BEND -- Keith Eugene Weade, 85, of South Bend, died of natural causes, Feb. 5, 2011
at Memorial Hospital of South Bend.
He is survived by his wife, Beatrice Ann (Beadie) Wenger; sister, Myrtle Mae Laidig; daughters,
Barbara L. (Michael Goc) Weade and Sandra J. (Robert) Krost; sons, Alan G. (Bonnie) and Rex
L. (Michelle); nine grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
Visitation will take place from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9 at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret-Lienhart
Funeral Home, 117 W. Waterford St., Wakarusa, and one hour prior to services Thursday.
Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, at Coalbush United Methodist
Church, 15977 Jackson Road, Mishawaka.
Memorial contributions may be made to Coalbush United Methodist, Park and Pavilion Fund and
United Methodist Camp Lakewood.
Burial will take place in Olive (East) cemetery.

George F. Roby
ROCHESTER -- George F. Roby 87, 14262 State Road 110, Rochester, passed away at 11:42
a.m. Sunday, Feb. 6, 2011 at his residence.
He is survived by sons, Stephen Roby of Culver, and Bruce Roby of Marshall, Minn.; and one
grandchild.
No services will be observed.
Burial will be in the Leiters Ford cemetery, Leiters Ford. Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home,
Rochester, assisted the family with arrangements.

Tom Norris
WHEATFIELD, Ind. -- Tom Norris, age 61, of Wheatfield, Ind., passed away Monday, Feb. 7,
2011 at South Shore Hospital, Chicago, Ill. He was born May 12, 1949 in Plymouth, to Marjorie
(Miller) and David F. Norris.
Tom graduated from Plymouth High School Class of 1967 and from Taylor University, Upland.
He earned his master's at Ball State University. He taught mathematics at Connersville,
Indianapolis, Fountain City, Morocco, Gary, and Chicago, Ill. Schools. June 19, 1971 he married
Patty Blue, who survives. He was a member of KV Bible Baptist Church and The Gideons
International.
Tom is survived by his loving wife, Patty Norris; son, Matthew (Heather) Norris of Tyler, Texas;
daughter, Laura (Joe) Correll of Goshen; father, David F. Norris of Culver; five grandchildren;
and a sister, Barb (Don) Johnson of Millersburg.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie.
Friends may visit Friday, Feb. 11 from 9 to 11 a.m. at KV Bible Baptist Church of DeMotte.
His life celebration will be at 11 a.m. with Brad Cristy and Pastor Gregory Hon officiating.
Inurnment will take place at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International for Bibles to be placed around the
world.

Shawn A. Schuler
ROCHESTER -- Shawn A. Schuler, 43, of S.R. 110, Rochester, passed away at 11:11 a.m.,
Monday, Feb. 7, 2011, at his home.
Shawn was born Nov. 25, 1967, in Gary, to Leon A. and Arlene E. (Tarchala) Schuler. Shawn
graduated from Plymouth High School in the Class of 1986. He married the former Jennifer R.
Bond, Nov. 18, 1995, in LaPaz.
Shawn loved to be outside and spend time gardening. He enjoyed participating in educational
shooting riffle events. Spending time with his family was a very important part of his life. Shawn,
and his oldest son, attended many 'Apple Seed' events together.
Shawn was employed as an electrical contractor and also worked in the shipping and receiving
department at PiRod. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Gulf War.
Shawn is survived by his wife, Jennifer R. Schuler; their sons, Samuel Lee Schuler, Matthew
Ryan Schuler, and Nathan Dale Schuler all of Rochester; his mother Arlene E. Schuler of
Angola, Ind.; his brothers, Craig Schuler of Plymouth, Chris Schuler of Angola, and Doug
Schuler of North Webster, Ind.; his sisters, Becky Brehamer of Crown Point, Ind., Rhonda
Wellsandt of Post Falls, Idaho, and Laura Larimore of Portage, Ind.
Shawn was preceded in death by his father, Leon A. Schuler.

Charles Jacob Smith
PLYMOUTH -- Charles Jacob Smith, 77 of Plymouth, died at 2:41 p.m. in St. Joseph Regional
Medical Center, Plymouth.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia; daughter, Kathleen (Mark) McClelland of Michigan City; sons:
Dennis Smith of Florida, Charles M. (Georgia) Smith of Culver, Charlene McClelland of Portage,
and Darrin P. (Brenda) Smith of Plymouth; seven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 11
great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia (Van) Stanley of California; brother, Gerald (Mary Ellen)
Geniusz of Illinois; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 11 at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral
Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, with a Rosary service at 3:30 p.m.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 12 at St. Michael Catholic
Church, 613 N. Center St., Plymouth with calling at the church one hour prior to the Mass and
military rites following the Mass.
Memorial contributions may be made in Charles’ memory to a charity of the donor’s choice

Julia R. Griewank
PLYMOUTH – Julia R. Griewank, 96, passed away of natural causes at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, Feb.
8, 2011 in the Pilgrim Manor Care Center. She was a lifetime Plymouth resident and lived on
Hillcrest Avenue.
She was born in Plymouth on April 12, 1914 the daughter of Ernest O. and Mary M. (Seider)
Holm. Julia graduated from Lincoln High School in the Class of 1932.
On April 27, 1947 in Plymouth she became the bride of Howard M. Griewank. He would precede
her in death Feb. 2, 1989.
She is a longtime active member of the First United Church of Christ.
Julia had worked as a dental assistant for Dr. C.H. Dunfee in Plymouth and became a
homemaker. She was involved with PTA activities and served on the Election Board. Julia also
had enjoyed sewing for the children, crocheting and reading.
Surviving are her three children: William H. Griewank of Knox; Mary Ellen and her husband,
Arthur Yeakey of Mishawaka; and Jane A. Griewank of Plymouth. Also surviving are two
grandsons: Andy Yeakey and Chip and his wife Marissa Yeakey and their son, great grandson
Norman Yeakey.
Julia was preceded in death by her spouse, two sisters; Hattie Pifer and Lura Walker and a
brother Kelso Holm.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, Feb. 10 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral
Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.
Services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. The Rev. Robin Keating will
officiate. Burial will follow in the New Oakhill cemetery.
Memorial gifts may be given to the First United Church of Christ, 321 N. Center St, Plymouth, IN
46563.

Richard W. Jr. White
KNOX -- Richard W. "Rick" White Jr., 58, died Feb. 8, 2011 after a battle with cancer.
He is survived by two sisters and a brother-in-law, Amy White of Carol Stream, Ill. And Lori and
Mike Murphree of Knoxville, Tenn.; nieces, Annie Murphree and Haley White and nephews Brian
Thompson, Adam Murphree, John and Mitchell Thompson of Knox; aunts and uncles, Dick and
Doris Martin of Plymouth; Barbara Bonner of Michigan City, Georgeann Martin of Las Vegas,
Twyla White of Knox and Ed Scholz of Knox; and many cousins.
Visitation is at Rannells Funeral Home Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and Saturday
after 10 a.m. until the time of services.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011 at 11 a.m. (Central Time) at the funeral home,
Hamlet Chapel. Burial will be at the Crown Hill cemetery, Knox.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Knox High School Athletics Boosters Club or the Knox Band
Boosters, #1 Redskin Trail, Knox, IN 46534.

Genevieve Wilkins
CULVER -- Genevieve Wilkins, 91, of Culver, died at 11:10 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011 at
her residence.
She is survived by a son, James A. (Christy) Wilkins of Culver.
There will be no visitation or services.
Burial will be private.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s
Association.
Odom Funeral Home, Culver, assisted the family with arrangements.

Kimberly D. Blount
PLYMOUTH -- Kimberly D. 'Kim' Blount, 52, a resident of Hillcrest Avenue, Plymouth, passed
away following an illness, Thursday, Feb. 10, 2011 at 3:45 p.m. in the Miller’s Merry Manor,
Plymouth.
Kim was born Feb. 9, 1959 in South Bend, the daughter of Leonard I. and Ruby J. (Beauchamp)
Smith. She was raised in South Bend and attended Riley High School.
March 19, 1988 in LaPaz she became the bride of Robert D. Blount.
Kim was a school bus driver for 14 years with the Union-North School System. She also worked
with special education students.
She along with her family loved stock car racing. Kim was a friendly outgoing person who liked to
play bingo.
Surviving are her spouse, Bob; son, Chad Curtis Blount and his wife Stephanie of Concord, N.C.
and their son, her grandson, Cale Curtis Blount. Her mother, Ruby Smith of Lakeville survives as
well as her brother, Tab C. Smith and his wife Marcia of Huntersville, N.C. and mothers-in-law,
Vickie Guhse of Rochester and Patricia Blount of LaPaz.
She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Kim was preceded in death by her father, and a brother, Douglas A. Smith.
Visitation for Kim was held Sunday, Feb. 13 from 1 to 6 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral
Home, 1100 N. Michigan St. Plymouth.
Services will be held in the funeral home Monday, Feb. 14 at 10 a.m. The Rev. Les Johnson,
chaplain with St. Joseph Regional Medical Center will officiate. Burial will follow in New Oakhill
cemetery, Plymouth.
Preferred are memorial gifts in Kim’s memory to Center for Hospice Care, 112 S. Center Street,
Plymouth, IN, 46563.

Jill Greene
BREMEN -- Jill Greene, 54, of Bremen, passed away Thursday, Feb. 10, 2011 at the St. Joseph
Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka.
She was born March 8, 1956 in Bremen to Robert E. and Janice (Marshall) Reese.
Survivors include fiancé Frank Rupp of Bremen; grandchildren: Leila Jo and Braxton; mother,
Janice Reese of Bremen; brother, Jeffery Reese of Bremen; two sisters, Candiese (Bob) Walls
of Syracuse and Rebecca (Jim) Thompson of Syracuse; nephews Shane Holloway, Chad Reese
and Steven Thompson; and nieces: Micky (Jimmy) Myers, Tiffany Taylor and Andrea Reese.
She was preceded by her son, Jereme Greene; and her father, Robert Reese.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 14 at the Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen
and will be officiated by Pastor Neil Wonnacott.
Burial will follow at the Bremen cemetery.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. Monday until the time of service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
