CHARLES EMERY KINSINGER

Charles Emery Kinsinger, 20, Liberal, died Friday, August 29, 2003, near Larned.

He was born Dec. 8, 1982, to Kurt and Carol Arney Kinsinger in Liberal.

He graduated from Liberal High School in 2001. He entered his sophomore year at Seward County Community College, majoring in psychology with the anticipation of becoming a counselor. He worked at Sherwin Williams Paint Store. He worked at Meade-Lumber Company until the present time.

He attended the Rock Springs Ranch, a diabetic camp as a child and for the past two years served as a counselor at the summer camp.

Survivors include his parents; two brothers, Jared Kinsinger, Liberal; and Bucky Kinsinger, Santa Fe, N.M.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Liberal with the Reverend Jerry Odle presiding.

Memorials are suggested in lieu of flowers to the Charles E. Kinsinger Memorial Fund for campers of the Rock Springs Ranch in care of Miller Mortuary.

JEROME ROBERT DIXON

MEADE, -- Jerome Robert Dixon, 22, died Friday, August 29, 2003, near Larned.

He was born June 17, 1981, to William Dale and Elizabeth Jane "Libby" Davis Dixon in Boise City, Okla.

He moved to Meade with his parents six years ago from Boise City and had recently moved to Liberal. He graduated from Meade High School in 2000 and was a sales person for Mead Do-It Lumber Co. in Liberal.

He was a member of First Baptist Church in Meade.

Survivors include his parents; two brothers, John William Dixon and wife, Jamie, Liberal, and Dale Cates Dixon and wife, Heather, Meade; grandparents, Cecil and Gracie Davis, Longview, Texas, and John Douglas and Verna Dixon, McAlester, Okla.; two nieces, Emma J. and Isabel; and one nephew, Cadyn.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Meade with the Reverend Harry Fink presiding.

Friends may call until 7 p.m. Monday at Fidler-Orme Mortuary in Meade.

Memorials are suggested to Jerome D. Dixon Meade High School Athletic Scholarship Fund or to Meade District Hospital Special Equipment Fund both in care of Fidler-Orme Mortuary in Meade.

MAX W. FRENCH

WINFIELD ญญ Max W. French, 69, died Friday, August 29, 2003, at his home in Winfield.

He was born June 5, 1934, to Herschel and Marguerite (Haner) French in Joplin, Mo.

He married Lucille Martin July 30, 1955, in Andale. She survives.

He graduated from Mt. Hope High School in 1953. In 1965, he and his wife moved to Liberal where he opened French Body Shop. In 1979, they relocated to Atlanta, Ga. and in 1993, they moved to Winfield where he re-established French Body Shop which he owned and operated until the present time.

He was a member of the Walnut Valley Men's Chorus and previously served as president of the Atlanta Lions Club.

Other survivors include seven daughters, Cherie Lacy and husband, Roger, Port Harcourt, Nigeria; Pam Schartz and husband, Carl, Liberal; Donna French, Liberal; Dana Cloke and husband, David, Pittsburg; Beth Sinclair and husband, Steve, Houston, Texas; Brenda French and husband, Mark Fauerbach, Wichita; and Angela French, Wichita; one sister, Wanda Schenewerk, Metarie, La; four grandchildren, Arron Schartz, Jessica Wharran, Michael Lacy and Allyson Stauffer; and four great-grandchildren, Aryn Lacy, Zachary Lacy, Matthew Lacy and Dana Stauffer.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Grace Episcopal Church in Winfield.

Burial will be at Highland Cemetery.

The family will greet friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield.

Memorials are suggested in lieu of flowers to the Cowley County Humane Society in care of Miles Funeral Service in Winfield.

ELVA TREJO

Elva Trejo, 68, Liberal, died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2003, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.

She was born Apr. 8, 1935, to tomas and Maria de Luz Gonzalez.

She married Pablo Trejo March 21, 1964, in Mexico. He survives.

She had been a Liberal resident since 1974.

She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Liberal.

Other survivors include her husband; one son, Fernando Trejo; two daughters, Anna Gonzalez, Dodge City, Rosa Ariraga and husband, Mario, Liberal; two brothers, Carlos Gonzalez, Mexico, Gonzalo Gonzalez, San Antonio, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, two sisters and three sons.

Welcoming of the Body will be at 6 p.m. , Wednesday at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Liberal.

Rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Liberal.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Liberal with Father Patrick Keyes presiding.

Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Liberal.

Friends may call Miller Mortuary until 8 p.m. today.

MARGARET L. CHAMBLISS

JEFFERSON, Texas -- Margaret L. Chambliss, 42, Jefferson, Texas died Thursday, Aug. 21, 2003, at her home in Jefferson, Texas.

She was born Oct. 27, 1960, to Eldon D. and Karen Banister in Perryton, Texas.

She married Bob Chambliss October 17, 1987 in Jefferson, Texas. He survives.

She attended school in Edmond, Okla.

Other survivors include, her mother, Hugoton,stepmother, Neoma Banister, Edmond, Okla; stepsister Donna Pickerad; grandmother, Ester Baxter, Hugoton; stepgrandmother, Barbara Banister, Hugoton; Aunt Janice Bell, Liberal; and several cousins in the Liberal area.

She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents, Delano and Dorthy Banister and Francis Baxter.

Memorial services were at 10 a.m., Monday Aug. 25, 2003 at Heritage Baptist Church in Jefferson, Texas.

Burial was at the Kellyville Cemetery in Kellyville, Texas.

AL D. WELCH

Al D. Welch, 43, Liberal, died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2003.

He was born Dec. 11, 1959, to Edward and Thelma M. (Walker) Welch in Liberal.

He worked at Dillons for seven years. He also worked for the Kansas Highway Patrol and the Mid-American Air Museum. He later worked at Bethphage which became Mosaic Workshop for many years. He participated in the Special Olympics.

He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Liberal.

Survivors include his parents, Liberal; one brother, Eddie Welch, Liberal; nephews, David Watt, Kismet, Earl Watt and wife, Heather, Liberal, Rustin and Damon Watt; nieces, Ashley Welch, Turpin, Okla., Victoria and Heather Watt, Liberal, and Reagan and Ren Watt.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Regina Sue Watt and his grandparents.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at First Church of God with the Reverends David Parker and Bill Prater presiding.

Burial will be at Liberal Cemetery.

Friends may call at Miller Mortuary until 8 p.m. today.

Memorials are suggested to the Special Olympics in care of Miller Mortuary.

ROBERT O. MOREE

FORT BLISS, Texas -- Robert O. Moree, 63, died Sunday, Aug. 31, 2003.

He was born to Marshall Odell Moree and Mariam Moree.

He married Jane Moree of Horizon City, Texas. She survives.

He retired in 1991 from the United States Army as a Chief Warrant Officer. He was a Master Aviator. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam.

He received the National Service medal with the Bronze Star, Master Army Aviator Badge and Armed Forces Reserve Medal. He served in Alaska, Korea and Germany. He spent 10 years as an Aviation Officer, test pilot, and Government Flight representative for Airborne Threat Systems at Biggs Army Airfield in Ft. Bliss, Texas. He was appointed to a Civil Service position for Threat Aviation TSMO Airborne Division as an Aviation Officer, test pilot and Government Flight representative.

Other survivors include one daughter, Tami Caudillo, Hutchinson; one grandson, Sgt. Maurice Caudillo, Mosul, Iraq; one granddaughter, Madelyn Caudillo, Hutchinson; one brother, Don Moree, Satanta; one sister, Jolene Lowrey, Meade; one sister-in-law, Georgia Moree, Satanta; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jerry Lynn Moree and one sister Juanita Nichols.

Memorial services including full military honors will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 4, at Biggs Army Airfield Chapel in Fort Bliss, Texas.

BILLY J. ALDRIDGE

Billy Joe Aldridge, 56, died Thursday, Sept. 4, 2003 at Lone Tree Compassionate Care Center in Meade.

He was born December 30, 1946, to Orville and Louise Klaus Aldridge in Seminole, Okla.

He married Bobette Young on Aug. 22, 1969 in Seiling, Okla. She died Feb. 9, 1976.

He moved to Liberal in 2000. He graduate from Empire High School in Duncan, Okla. in 1965.

He served in the U.S. Army. He was a veteran. He was an oil filed diesel mechanic for 30 years.

He is survived by two sons, Brian Keith Aldridge and wife Michelle, Fort Worth, Texas; Shane Aldridge and fiancee Sherie Spencer, Liberal; one daughter, Melissa McKee and husband Brent, Woodward, Okla.; his mother, Louise Castell, Eufala, Okla; two brothers, Brenny Aldridge and wife Kathy, Duncan, Okla, Buddy Aldridge and wife Christa, Newton; one sister, Beverly Grange and husband Ed, Manville, Texas, 10 grandchildren and one great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m., Monday at the Duncan Cemetery in Duncan, Okla. with Buddy Aldridge presiding.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Billy Joe Aldridge Memorial Fund, Community Bank, 2320 N. Kansas Ave., Liberal, Kan. 67901 or Miller Mortuary, P.O. Box 826, Liberal, Kan. 67905-0826.
