CARRIE E. TYLER

COPELAND -- Carrie E. Tyler, 70, died Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2003, at Via Christi Regional Medical Center-St. Francis Campus in Wichita.

She was born Jan. 29, 1933, to Joseph and Ida Mae (Dirks) Koehn in Cimarron.

She married Ronald E. Tyler July 2, 1967, in Copeland. He died Aug. 4, 1986.

She worked for Montezuma State Bank for 39 years, retiring as Vice President.

She was a member of Gospel Fellowship Church, Board of Directors of Montezuma State Bank, Lions Club, in Montezuma.

Survivors include one step-son, Donald Tyler and wife, Linda, Cimarron; one step-daughter, Tania McCarty, Chicago; two brothers, Pete Koehn, Cimarron, Lee Koehn and wife, Viola, Montezuma; four sisters, Julia Buller, Montezuma, Osie Koehn, Garden City, Tillie Wedel and husband , Gene, Copeland, Kathi Becker and husband, Melvin, Moundridge; one sister-in-law, Mary Koehn, Montezuma; two step-grandchildren and many relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother, Jacob "Jake" Koehn; two brother-in-laws, Dave Koehn and Harvey Buller;one sister-in-law, Pearl Koehn; and one niece, Betty Wedel.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Copeland Christian Church in Copeland with the Pastors Bruce Titus and Doug Harris presiding.

Burial will be at the Copeland Cemetery in Copeland.

Friends may call the Montezuma Funeral Home in Montezuma until 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday.

Memorials are suggested to the Santa Fe Senior Center or Copeland Cemetery in Copeland in care of Montezuma Funeral Home, P.O. Box 421, Montezuma, KS 67867.

LOUISE M. TRISLER

Louise M. Trisler, 68, died Nov. 6, 2003, at Galichia Heart Hospital in Wichita.

She was born June 14, 1935, to George H. and Gertrude A. Askins Howard in Barton County.

She married Charles J. Trisler Feb. 9, 1955, in San Fransisco, Calif. He died Sept. 22, 1980.

She came to Liberal in 1983.

Survivors include one son, Doug Sutherland, Baxter Springs; three daughters, Linda Trisler, Liberal, Janet Hatman, Liberal, and Brenda Abatonab, Lawrence; one brother, Johnny Lee Howard, Hubert, N.C.; three sisters, Jahunieta Lara, Seattle, Wash., Madeline Deakin, Coupville, Wash. and Lois Brown, Girad; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers, two sons and one granddaughter.

Memorial services are planned at a later date.

DAVID CARPENTER

MEADE -- David Carpenter, 58, died Nov. 13, 2003, at Meade District Hospital in Meade.

He was born Feb. 10, 1945, to Wilford and Estella Brenthup Carpenter in Hawthorn, Calif.

He married Rebecca Muzzy Oct. 27, 1968, at Brookins, S.D. She survives.

He has been a resident of Meade since 1986 and was a carpenter. He was a veteren of the United States Navy having served in Vietnam.

Other survivors include one son, Robert Schreiner, Rehobath, Mass.; three daughters, Jeanette Hall, Lake City, Fla., Louise Journagan, Springfield, Mo., and Erin Carpenter, Springfield, Mo.; three brothers, Gaylord Carpenter, Bismark, N.D., Brian Carpenter, Aberdeen, S.D., and Charles Carpenter, Ore.; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by one son, David Carpenter, and one granddaughter, NeKohl Haynes.

Vigil services will be at 7 p.m. today at Fidler-Orme Mortuary Chapel in Meade.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church in Meade with the Father Frances Stuart presiding.

Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery in Meade.

Friends may call from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m. today at Fidler-Orme Mortuary in Meade.

LOUISE M. TRISLER

Louise M. Trisler, 68, died Nov. 6, 2003, at Galichia Heart Hospital in Wichita.

LUCILLE NEESE

Lucille Neese, 64, died Nov. 15, 2003, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.

She was born March 18, 1939, in Tazwell, Va. to Lloyd and Katherine (Reukivina) Johnson.

She married Jerrold "Jerry" Neese Nov. 24, 1956, in Clayton, N.M. He survives.

She was a longtime resident of Liberal. She was a hairdresser and co-owner of PALU Boutique and worked as a hairdresser at others beauty shops in Liberal.

Other survivors include three sons, Allen Neese and Mary Glenn, Liberal, Wayne Neese and wife, Brenda, Liberal, and Steve Neese and wife, Melody, Ventura, Calif.; one daughter, Cathy Sutton and husband, Mike, Prescott, Ariz.; two brothers, Jim Johnson, Liberal, and Kenny Johnson, Liberal; three sisters, Katherine Burdge, Liberal, Debbie Harvey, Salina, and Ginny Gilmore, Liberal; eight grandchildren, Steve Neese, Corey Neese, Taylor Neese, Halee Neese, Seth Glenn, Shelby Glenn, Skylar Glenn and Scott Glenn.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Junior Johnson.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Anthony Catholic Church with the Father Brian Gilles presiding.

Burial will be at Restlawn Cemetery at a later date.

Friends may call until 9 p.m. Monday and until service time Tuesday at Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home. The family will be receiving friends at the Johnson residence, 1221 N. Calhoun in Liberal.

Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association in care of Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home 1212 West Second Street, Liberal, KS 67901.

J NORMAN HOOCK

J Norman Hoock, 65, died Nov. 16, 2003, at his home in Liberal.

He was born Oct. 26, 1938, to Otto W. and Justina (Harder) Hoock in Cordell, Okla.

He married Nancy C. Bagg June 6, 1988, in CheyennE, Wyo. She survives.

He graduated from Stafford Oklahoma High School in 1957. He was a long time resident of Liberal.

He retired in 1995 from Nash-Finch, where he worked in the grocery warehouse.

He attended South Church of God in Liberal.

He was a member of the Teamsters Union No. 795.

He enjoyed woodworking and making furniture.

Survivors include one son, Kevin Hoock, Oklahoma City, Okla.; two daughters, Sharen Imler and husband, Donald, Liberal, Stacy Keeley, Liberal; two step-sons, Michael Miller, and wife, Cora, Liberal, Steven Miller, Gillette, Wyo.; three step-daughters, Velva Watson and husband, Rick, Arroyo Grande, Calif., Mary Roehr and husband, Roger, Kismet, Virginia Howell and husband, Duane, Rockport, Texas; mother and father-in-law-, Helen and Leon Bortz, Plains; 13 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Marion B. Hoock.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, at Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home with the Pastor Rusty Callahan presiding.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. until service time at Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home.

Memorials are suggested to Liberal Home Health and Hospice in care of Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home at 1212 W. 2nd Street, Liberal, KS 67901.

JESSIE DOROTHY COLTRAN

PLAINS -- Jessie Dorothy Coltran, 99, died Nov. 15, 2003, at the Lone Tree Compassionate Care Center in Meade.

She was born Feb. 7, 1904, to Orville Robert and Jessie Bell Martin Click in Gray County.

She married Clifford Forrest Coltran July 23, 1931, in Kinsley. He died June 3, 1967.

She graduted from Plains High School in 1922 and attended Friends University in Wichita for two years. She was a homemaker, piano teacher, artist and a lifetime resident of Southwestern Kansas.

She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church of Plains and a former member of the Daughters of Isabella.

Other survivors include two daughters, Marguerite Pati Ann Cannon, Plains, and Sue Ann Marie Page, Albany, Ga.; five grandchildren, Frank Nickolas "Nick" Cannon, Lawrence, Andrew Russell, Ann Marie, Jessica Dorothy and Pattie Sue Geratghy.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Plains with the Father Francis Stuart presiding.

Vigil service will be at 7 p.m. today at the church.

Friends may call until 5 p.m. today at Fidler-Orme Mortuary in Meade.

Burial will be in the Partridge Cemetery at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Memorials are suggested to the Lone Tree Compassionate Care Center in care of the mortuary.

JESSE E. MANN

HUGOTON -- Jesse E. Mann, 82, died Nov. 17, 2003, at his rural home in Hugoton.

Funeral arrangements are pending and will be announced by Miller Mortuary.
