KENNETH RAY JARVIS
ULYSSES -- Kenneth Ray Jarvis, 61, died Wednesday Nov. 26, 2003, in Ulysses.
He was born May 6, 1942 to E. Wayne and Reba D. ((Davis) Jarvis in Garden City.
He married Carol Delynn Cawthon, June 5, 1961 in Ulysses. She survives.
He was a farmer.
He was baptized in the Methodist Church.
Other survivors include, two sons; Mark L. Jarvis and wife, Lora, Arkansas City, Darren W. Jarvis, Wichita; one brother, Garold Jarvis, Ulysses; one sister, Donna Giles and husband, Delmer, Clinton, Okla.; one grandson, Jaxson Jarvis, and many relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister-in-law, Marilou Jarvis.
Memorial services are at 2 p.m., Monday at the First United Methodist Church in Ulysses with Dennis Livingston presiding.
Burial will be at Ulysses Cemetery
in Ulysses.
Friends may call Grant County Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Saturday and 2 until 8 p.m. on Sunday.
MANUEL C. CASAS
HUGOTON -- Manuel C. Casas, 45, died Nov. 30, 2003, at Stevens County Hospital in Hugoton.
Funeral arrangements are pending and will be announced by Paul's Funeral Home in Hugoton.
MARTHA DOBSON WINCHELL
Martha Dobson Winchell, 94, died Nov. 29, 2003, at Edward Memorial Home in Canadian, Texas.
She was born Sept. 17, 1909, to Charles and Eddie Lee (Nelmes) Dobson in Eric, Okla.
She married George R. Winchell, Jr. Aug. 20, 1947, in Liberal. He died Dec. 3, 2001.
She was a long time resident of Liberal and Balko, Okla. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the McArthur Sunday School Class.
Survivors include one son Chuck Winchell, Balko, Okla.; one step-son, George R. "Rick" Winchell III, Abilene, Texas; one sister, Leota Butler, Arlington, Texas; 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one step-daughter, Ruth Joan Dougherty and one brother, Thomas Preston Dobson.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Liberal with the Reverend David Bagwell presiding.
Burial will be at Restlawn Cemetery
in Liberal.
Visitation will be at 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday at Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home.

DENTON RAY FISHER
MEADE -- Denton Ray Fisher, 61, died Nov. 28, 2003, at Meade District Hospital.
He was born Dec. 24, 1941, to Elmer E. and Dorothy E. McPherter Fisher.
He graduated from Meade High School in 1959 and attended Dodge City Community College for one year.
He was a stockman, farmer, school bus driver and lifetime resident of Meade. He served in the Army Reserve from 1962 to 1968.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church.
He was a member of the Meade Roping Club.
He is survived by one son, Justin, Meade; two brothers Tom and Ernie, Meade; one sister, Janie Chaulopek , Beaver, Okla.; and one granddaughter, Markala Fisher, Sublette.
Graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday at Graceland Cemetery
in Meade with the Reverend Susan Greene presiding.
Friends may call the Fidler-Orme Mortuary until 5 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until noon Tuesday.
Memorials are suggested to Meade County Fair Association in care of Fidler-Orme Mortuary.
RACHEL L. SUTTON
PLAINS -- Rachel L. Sutton, 83, died Nov. 29, 2003, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.
She was born Sept. 22, 1920, to Fred and Ida (Koch) Littau in Lipscomb County, Texas.
She married Clifford M. Sutton March 31, 1940, in Darrouzett, Texas. He died Oct. 10, 1989.
She graduated in 1936 from Darrouzett High School in Darrouzett, Texas. She was a resident of Plains for 61 years and a homemaker and mother.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Plains, Women's Missionary Society of the church and the Plains Equity Credit Union.
Survivors include one son, Clifton M. Sutton and wife, Judi, Perryton, Texas; one daughter, Sonja G. Heald and husband, David, Liberal; one brother, Harold Littau, Amarillo, Texas; three sisters, Lea Schick, Shattuck, Okla., Ida Fritzler, Shattuck, Okla. and Ester Roth, Booker, Texas; five grandchildren, Lisa Matile, Bret Kurth, Kedra Reed, Clay Sutton, and Trevor Sutton; 10 great-grandchildren, Cody Gearheart, Shane Matile, Brittany Kurth, Justin Kurth, Bret Scott Kurth, Tyler Wick, Aaron Bass, Colton Reed, Desiere Sutton, and Trevor A. Sutton; five step-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Fred Littau, Richard Littau, George Littau, and Johnney Littau and four sisters, Emma Woods, Mary Koch, Kate Reiswig, and Pauline Shultz.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Plains with the Reverend George Henry and the Reverend John Andrews presiding.
Burial will be at Plains Cemetery
in Plains.
Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. today with the family present to greet friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home.

HALLIE E. PRINE
HUGOTON -- Hallie E. Prine, 90, died Nov. 30, 2003, at Pioneer Manor in Hugoton.
She was born May 15, 1913, to Chauncy and Nannie (Rowan) Reed in Healy.
She married Wilda R. Prine May 1932 in Richfield. He preceded her in death.
She attended Garden City High School in Garden City.
She was an antique dealer. She owned, operated, performed secretarial duties and bookeeping duties for Prine Plumbing in Hugoton for forty years.
She was a member of the First Christian Church in Hugoton.
She volunteered as a hairdresser at the Pioneer Manor.
Survivors include one son, Michael R. Prine, and wife, Lynda, Hugoton; seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Arlis Reed.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday at the First Christian Church in Hugoton. with the Reverend Jeff Aenk presiding.
Burial will be at the Hugoton Cemetery
in Hugoton.
Friends may call Tuesday from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. at Garnand Funeral Home in Hugoton.

VERNON LEE JOHNSON
ELKHART -- Vernon Lee Johnson, 51, died Nov. 29, 2003, at Morton County Hospital in Elkhart.
He was born June 19, 1952, to T.A. (Jeff) Johnson and Muriel Roberta (McFarland) in Guymon, Okla.
He married Carolyn Smith June 21, 1970, in Guymon, Okla. She survives.
He was a longtime Elkhart resident and former owner of Johnson Ground Sprayers. He also worked for Elkhart Coop for 13 years.
His hobbies included bowling, fishing and watching football.
Other survivors include one son, Jeff Robert Johnson, Hobbs, N.M.; three daughters, Carol Rene Holdren, Elkhart, Amy Michelle Johnson, Elkhart, and Melissa Beth Johnson, Tyrone, Okla.; two brothers, K.L. Johnson, Tucamcari, N.M., and Tommie Glynn Johnson, Goodwell, Okla.; one sister, Robbie Gene Johnson and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Garnand Funeral Home Chapel in Elkhart with the Pastor John Wright presiding.
Burial will be at Elkhart Cemetery
in Elkhart.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until noon at Garnand Funeral Home in Elkhart.

BARBARA S. ARREDONDO
SATANTA -- Barbara S. Arredondo, 80, died Nov. 30, 2003, at Satanta District Hospital in Satanta.
She was born Feb. 14, 1923, to Conrad Matt and Anna Mary (Legleiter) Dinges in Ransom.
She married Francisco R. Arredondo Feb. 15, 1941, in Ransom. He died March 15, 1993.
She was a homemaker and catered many banquets in our area.
She was a member of the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in our area.
Survivors include two sons, Frankie Arredondo, Satanta, and Randal Arredondo, Plano, Texas; one brother, Paul Dinges, Kimball, Neb.; one granddaughter, Onsuree Arredondo and numerous other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Chris Dinges, Herman Dinges and Robert Dinges; seven sisters, Edna Nugent, Caroline Pfannenstiel, Bertha Francis, Frances Braun, Rose Trent, Sister Vera Dinges and Mary Witthuhn.
Vigil services will be at 7 p.m. today at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Satanta.
Funeral Mass will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Satanta with the Father Tony Judge presiding.
Burial will be at the Dudley Township Cemetery
in Satanta.
Friends may call today from 1 to 5 p.m. and from 10 a.m. until service time at the church Tuesday at the Haskell County Funeral Home in Satanta.
