CLYDE L. EVELEIGH
ULYSSES Clyde LeRoy Eveleigh, 75, died Monday, Aug. 30, 2004, at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City.
He was born May 26, 1929, to John Lloyd and Ada (Clark) Eveleigh in Kearney County.
He married Viola May Turner Dec. 31, 1949, in Garden City. She survives.
He was a lifetime area resident.
He was a retired farmer.
He was a member of Patterson Avenue Church of God, Wheat Growers Association and the Tractor Pull Club of Ulysses.
He was a pilot, and he restored antique tractors.
Survivors include two sons, Gale Wayne Eveleigh and wife Leona Kay, rural Ulysses, and John William Eveleigh and wife Donalda, Ulysses; two daughters, Sonya Jean Allen and husband Patrick, Spokane, Wash., and Virginia Diane Bodey and husband Terry, Elk City, Okla.; one brother, Leone Eveleigh, Ellis; one sister, Shirley Young and husband Clarence, Lakin; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Floyd Eveleigh, and one grandson, Justin Eveleigh.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Friday at Patterson Avenue Church of God in Ulysses with Pastor Earl Heath, Jr. presiding. Burial will follow in the Lakin Cemetery.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Grant County Funeral Home in Ulysses.

BENJAMIN F. HART
GARDEN CITY Benjamin F. Hart II, Ph.D., 59, died Aug. 27, 2004, at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City.
He was born Aug. 19, 1945, to Benjamin Franklin and Laura Berl (Greene) Hart in Oklahoma City.
He married Pamela Lea West Jan. 9, 1969, in Levittown, Penn. She survives.
He was a graduate of Frederick Douglass High School in Oklahoma City.
He received his bachelor's degree in special education from Oklahoma University in 1967, his master's degree in counseling and special education from Montclair State College in 1971 and his Ph.D. from the University of Oklahoma in 1975.
He spent 35 years as an educator, coach and administrator in Oklahoma, Kansas and New Jersey.
He was a semi-pro football player and coach for several semi-pro football teams from 1970 until 2003. He founded the Tri-City Marshals of the NAFL and was the owner and head coach. In 1984 he began the United States Federation of Amateur Athletics, Inc. which provided both athletics and educational services.
Other survivors include four sons, Donald Ray Hart, Los Angeles, Raymond Orlando Hart, Lawton, Okla., Benjamin Franklin Hart, III, Oklahoma City and John Westley Hart, Oklahoma City; five daughters, Lisa Renee Hart, Dallas, Debra Renea Hart, Oklahoma City, Ebony Michelle Hart, Oklahoma City, Alicia Gaye Hart, Columbia, S.C., and Marcella Lea Hart, Oklahoma City; one sister, Bennie Loretta Leslie, Oklahoma City; two nephews, two nieces, 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be at 5 p.m., today at the Church of Christ in Garden City with Minister Ronnie Fletcher presiding. An additional service will take place Thursday in Oklahoma City.
Burial will follow at the Trice Hill Cemetery
in Oklahoma City.

MARJORIE STEGALL
ABINGDON, Ill. Marjorie Carol Stegall, 84, died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2004, at Care Center of Abingdon, Ill.
She was born Jan. 7, 1920, to Cecil and Carolyn Noll Blevins in Abingdon, Ill.
She married Edward LeRoy Kubitz in 1943 in Washington, D.C.
She later married Paul Davis in 1946 in Washington D.C.
She then married Milton "Mortie" Stegall in 1960 in Abingdon, Ill. He died in 1976.
She worked as a clerk in the mapping division of the U.S. Treasury Department in Washington, D.C. for many years. She was also a secretary for Stegall Insurance Agency in Abingdon, Ill., and later was a caregiver for the elderly in Kansas.
Survivors include two sons, Edward Kubitz and wife Consi, Marion, Ill., and Paul Davis and wife Sarah, Galesburg, Ill.; two daughters, Luanna Palmiere, Canon City, Colo., and Sheila Lovato and husband Henry, Liberal; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Cremation will be accorded.
A graveside service was at 11 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 26, at Abingdon Cemetery
with the Rev. Raymond McLaren presiding.
Memorials are suggested to Community Hospices of America.
ALPHA L. RICHARDSON
Alpha Loraine "Lori" "BJ" Richardson, 57, died Saturday, Aug. 28, 2004, at The Vine in Wichita.
She was born April 9, 1947, to Joe W., Jr., and Alpha Omega (Houser) Reid.
She married Marvin M. Richardson, Jr., April 28, 1972, in Gainsville, Texas. He survives.
She was a homemaker and had worked as a short order cook and in housekeeping at motels.
She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Liberal.
Other survivors include one cousin, Marsha Fletcher, Wichita; one uncle, Elbis Lehl, Wichita; and one aunt, Ruby Lehl, Wichita.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday at Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Keith Bryant presiding.
Cremation will follow the service and burial will be at a later date in Boise City, Okla.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m., Tuesday at Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home.

ALLIE E. WAIT
SUBLETTE Allie E. Wait, 91, died Friday, Aug. 27, 2004, at Satanta Long Term Care Unit.
She was born April 15, 1913, to Charles and Unity (Mathney) Wass in Okmulgee, Okla.
She married Raymond Walter "Butch" Wait April 29, 1931, in Leoti.
She was a cook at Sublette Grade School for many years. She was also a beautician, owning Allie's Beauty Shop for many years.
She was a member of the Christian Church, Read A Book Club, Haskell Sunshine Club and Rebekah Lodge, all of Sublette.
She loved her family and enjoyed being with them. Her hobbies were cooking, playing bridge, and she was an avid reader. She never met a stranger.
Survivors include two sons, Raymond "Sonny" Duane Wait and wife Barbara, Norton and Charles "Charlie" Edward Wait and wife Joyce, Pendleton, Ore.; two daughters, Shirley Ruth Shotton and husband Victo, Willcox, Ariz. and Ardis Elaine Wait, Tucson, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; three step grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; six step great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; one sister, Maxine Jones, Broken Arrow, Okla.; and many relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Charles Wass, and three sisters, Pearl Carroll, Ruth Cummings and Juanita Shea.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday at the Christian Church in Sublette with Minister David Erwin presiding.
Burial will be in Haskell County Cemetery
in Sublette.
Friends may call until 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m., Tuesday at Haskell County Funeral Home.

HELEN K. MANGELS
ROLLA Helen K. Mangels, 74, died Saturday, Aug. 28, 2004, at Morton County Hospital in Elkhart.
She was born Aug. 22, 1930, to Eli Richard and Berta Katherina (Nusser) Mangels in Morton County.
She graduated from Rolla High School.
She worked as a beautician in San Diego before moving back to Rolla where she served meals for four years at Rolla Senior Center.
She was a member of Clairmont Lutheran Church in San Diego.
Survivors include one brother, Robert Lee Mangels, Rolla; one sister, Loeta Ann Thomas and husband Robert, Dodge City; one sister-in-law, Patsy Mangels, Hugoton; and nephews and nieces and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Keith Mangels, two sisters, Pauline Brown and husband George, and Esther Harford and husband Bud, and one niece, Melody Harford.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday at the Rolla Cemetery
with the Rev. Gary Stafford presiding.
Friends may call until 8 p.m. at Paul's Funeral Home in Hugoton.

MARY O. COERBER
ELKHART Mary Orilla Coerber, 93, died Friday, Aug. 27, 2004, at Morton County Care Center in Elkhart.
She was born Sept. 7, 1910, to Thomas Perry and Mary L. Madden Sparke in Fellsburg.
She married Harold Arthur Coerber Oct. 25, 1945, in Dodge City. He died May 11, 1991.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Christian Lutheran Church in Elkhart.
Survivors include four nephews, Robert A. Tucker, Winfield, C. Leroy Tucker, Wichita, Harold E. Tucker, Elkhart, and J.R. Sparke, Council Grove; and five nieces, Betty Mollahan, Houston, Debra Sparke, Randolph, Denise Unruh, Pratt, Marry J. Orrill, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Lola Noll, Broaddus, Texas.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, Edward, Fred, Milton, Cecil and James Sparke and three sisters, Viola Tucker, Ella Sparke and Dorothy Seller.
Cremation is planned and a family graveside service will be at a later date in the Fellsburg Cemetery.
