KELLY W. HOSKINSON
ARLINGTON, Texas Kelly Wayne Hoskinson, 30, passed away Monday, October, 25, 2004 at home.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday at Woodland West Baptist Church, 2201 W. Park Row in Arlington. Graveside service: 2 p.m. Saturday at Hugoton Cemetery
in Hugoton, Kan. Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Arlington Funeral Home.
Kelly was born February 1, 1974 in Fairbury, Neb. to Wayne and JoAnne Hoskinson. He graduated high school at Sidney, Neb. and attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. He loved all sports, especially Nebraska football. He played quarterback in high school and was guard on the basketball team. Kelly was also the golf team. He was employed by NuHome.
Kelly was injured over three years ago and had finally recovered. He had the entire world ahead of him and was in the driver's seat.
Kelly and Brittany Jowers were married in February 2004 and he was happier than he has ever been in his life. She brought joy to his heart and soul and he loved her beyond words.
Kelly accepted Christ as his savior in 2000 and has been an active member at Woodland West Baptist Church. He was a constant reflection of Christ in his home, work and among friends.
Survivors: Wife, Brittany Hoskinson of Arlington; father, Wayne Hoskinson and wife, Irma Lee of Rolla, Kan.; mother, JoAnne Hoskinson of Kansas City, Mo.; brothers, Michael Hoskinson of Arlington, Otie Daniels of Atlanta, Ga.; sister, Tami Boekhaus and husband, Rodney of Rolla, Kan., Traci Daniels of Alhambra, Calif.; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
VON KAUP
Von Kaup, 84, died Sunday, Oct. 31, 2004, at his residence following an extended illness.
He was born Jan. 23, 1920, to James and Flossie Swafford Kaup in Sharon.
He married Betty L. Martin Sept. 14, 1946, in Medicine Lodge. She survives.
He was a mechanic for International Harvester and Mehl Concrete. He operated the Fina, Skelly and Conoco service stations for several years and worked for Balyntine Auto. He was a bus mechanic for USD No. 480 for 12 years.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army in India, and he also served in the Kansas Army National Guard for 10 years.
He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene and was a Sunday school teacher for the junior boys class.
He was a Bee Jay baseball and high school football fan.
He loved to fish and bowl, and he enjoyed his family.
Other survivors include three sons, Ron Kaup and wife Carolyn, Bill Kaup and Tom Kaup, all of Liberal; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Hershel and Roy Kaup, both of Wichita; and two sisters, Dorothy Lane, Augusta, and Darlene Hawkins, Harper.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, one sister, two infant sons and one infant daughter.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the First Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Amos Williams and the Rev. Jim Mathens presiding.
Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens with military honors by the Fort Riley Honor Guard.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday. The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday evening at the chapel.
Memorials are suggested to the church or the American Diabetes Foundation in care of Miller Mortuary.
BONNIE THOMPSON
Bonnie "Jane" (Herdt) Thompson, 59, died Sunday, Oct. 24, 2004, at her residence in Larkspur, Calif.
She was born July 23, 1945, in Great Bend.
She married Fred W. Thompson in 1980 in California. He survives.
She attended school through high school in Liberal and college at Kansas State in Fort Hays.
She worked in office management in Marin County until her death from lung cancer.
She also worked for the Ninety-Nines, an international organization of women pilots and Western Electric Company.
She was a member of the Larkspur Community Association, Marin Breast Cancer Council and the Lifehouse organization.
Other survivors include her mother, Leveta F. (Andrews) Capps, Oklahoma City; two sons, Sean C. and Shane A. Saylor, both of Larkspur, Calif.; two step daughters, Linda D. Blum, Novato, Calif., and Karen E. Brittain, Lafayette, La.; four grandchildren, Melanie, Kenny, Alyssa and Ava; and two sisters, Linda Sue Murphy, Russell, and Jaymme Lee Pederson, Louisville, Ky.
A memorial service is planned for Saturday at the family restaurant, Saylor's Landing in Sausalito, Calif.

TERRY R. FULLER
KINSLEY Terry R. Fuller, 51, died Thursday, Oct. 28, 2004, at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.
He was born Feb. 22, 1953, to Raymon and Wanda J. Grant Fuller in Canadian, Texas.
He married Jennifer L. Behrens Sept. 28, 1974, in Hays. She survives.
He was a lawyer.
Other survivors include his mother; his grandmother, Jewell Janzen, Waco, Texas; two daughters, Jacqueline R. Butler, Topeka, and Aubrey-Anne Fuller, Kinsley; two brothers, Randy Fuller, Turpin, Okla., and Johnny Fuller, Turpin, Okla.; and one sister, Dana Parker, Elizabeth, Ind.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Kinsley High School Auditorium with the Rev. David Bell presiding.
Burial will be in St. Peter and Paul Cemetery
in Kinsley.
Memorials are suggested to St. Nicholas School, Kinsley Recreation Commission or the 24th District C.A.S.A. in care of McKillip Memorial Funeral Home of Kinsley.
JUANITA NICHOLS
Juanita Nichols, 91, died Saturday, Oct. 30, 2004, at Southwest Medical Center.
She was born July 5, 1913, to B.F. and Laura E. Kinyon Houseman in Domby, Okla.
She married Charles Buxton April 6, 1935. He died in 1939.
She then married George Nichols Aug. 22, 1943, in Liberal. He died Aug. 3, 1996.
She attended school in Domby, Okla.
Her hobbies were cooking, sewing, crocheting, knitting and playing games. She loved being with her family.
Survivors include two sons, Leroy Buxton and wife Bonnie, Liberal, and Terry Nichols and wife Sue, Liberal; two daughters, Trish Ingland and husband Jim, Liberal, and Phyllis Silcott and husband Bob, Fairview, Okla.; eight grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Estie Siebert, Ulysses, and Thelma Bowers, Hooker, Okla.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, one sister and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Chapel with the Rev. Rex Petty presiding.
Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 8 a.m. to service time Wednesday at Miller Mortuary. The family will be meeting at the Jim and Trish Ingland rural residence.
Memorials are suggested to Liberal Home Health and Hospice in care of the mortuary.
HENRY H. DOERKSEN
SATANTA Henry H. Doerksen, 90, died Sunday, Oct. 31, 2004, at his residence in Satanta.
He was born July 8, 1914, to Bernhard and Helena (Plett) Doerksen in Steinbach, Manitoba, Canada.
He married Nettie Barkman Nov. 21, 1948, in Steinbach. She survives.
He was a farmer.
Other survivors include many nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 10 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Pleasant Prairie Church of God in Satanta with Minister Lloyd Bowen presiding.
Burial will be in the Dudley Township Cemetery
in Satanta.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at the funeral home.

ALVA E. REXFORD
MEADE Alva E. Rexford, 88, died Oct. 29, 2004, at Meade District Hospital.
He was born Nov. 19, 1915, to Theron and Mae (Waters) Rexford in Montezuma.
He married Dorothy Wilson March 24 1940, in Dodge City. She survives.
He graduated from Meade High School. He later attended Kansas University for two years. He then was appointed to the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md.
He operated the livestock auctions in both Meade and Dalhart, Texas, for several years.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church.
He was a member of Webb Lodge No. 275 A.F. and A.M. and the Wichita Consistory Scottish Rite.
Other survivors include two sons, Gary Rexford, Topeka, and Buck Rexford, Meade; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Chester Rexford, Montezuma; and one sister, Lois Johnson, Wheatridge, Colo.
Funeral services were at 3 p.m. today at the United Methodist Church in Meade with the Rev. Susan Greene presiding.
Burial was in the Graceland Cemetery
in Meade.
