LILLIANNA M. DAVILA

Lillianna Marie Davila, 21 months, died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2005, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.

She was born May 16, 2003, to Guadalupe "Lupe" Davila in Liberal.

Survivors include her great-grandfather, Gilbert Davila Sr., Buda, Texas; her grandfather, Gilbert Davila, Turpin, Okla.; her grandmother, Melinda Davila, Little Rock, Ark.; her grandparents, Paul and Mary Anne Moore, Turpin, Okla.; two aunts, Lara Davila, Little Rock, Ark., and Yolanda Gonzales, Ulysses; three uncles, Kyle Davila, Edmond, Okla., Alex Medina, Guymon, Okla., and Lee Gonzales, Ulysses; one brother, Adrian Davila, Liberal; and one sister, Serenity Vargas, Liberal.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Turpin Baptist Church in Turpin, Okla., with Pastor Jimmy Reed presiding.

Burial will be in Grant County Cemetery in Ulysses.

Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. today at Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home of Liberal.

Memorials may be sent to the Lillianna Davila Memorial Fund in care of Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home, 1212 W. Second, Liberal, KS 67901.

ROBERT D. FLOYD

Johnson -- Robert Dillard "R.D." Floyd, 85, died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2005, at Gove County Medical Center in Quinter.

He was born April 13, 1919, to James Allen and Era (Hudson) Floyd near Sparta, Tenn.

He married Evelyn Winger June 14, 1942, in Long Beach, Calif. She survives.

He joined his father-in-law, Clarence Winger and Clarence's two sons, Melvin and Marion in a farm and cattle operation, later farming with his sons, Martie and Gary.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Johnson.

He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge and VFW Post No. 3864, both of Johnson. He was a current board member of the First National Bank of Liberal, Kansas Bank Corporation and the Stanton County Clinic. He was a former board member of the Johnson Grade School and Federal Land Bank Board of Garden City.

He was a veteran in the U.S. Army during World War II, serving in the European Theater.

Other survivors include two sons, Martie Floyd and wife Diane, Gary Floyd and wife Marla, all of Johnson; one daughter, Roetta Mann and husband Dave, Quinter; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one brother, Walter Floyd, San Marcos, Calif.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene Floyd and Carson Floyd, and one sister, Reva Reynolds.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church in Johnson with the Rev. Glenn Fogo presiding.

Burial will follow at Stanton County Cemetery in Johnson with military graveside rites by VFW Post No. 3864.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today and Monday at Garnand Funeral Home of Johnson.

Memorials are suggested to the Veterans Memorial at the Stanton County Cemetery or the Stanton County 4-H Foundation in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 605 W. North Ave., P.O. Box 715, Johnson, KS 67855.

ROBERT D. MEILI

Robert D. Meili, 78, died Friday, Feb. 11, 2005, in Lincoln.

He was born June 22, 1926, to William A. Meili and Esther Ione Line in rural Lincoln County.

He was a mechanic.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for 50 years.

He was a volunteer firefighter for 28 years for Lincoln. He also served as fire chief.

Survivors include his wife Ann of the home; three daughters, Carol Panzer and husband Don, Ellsworth, Jayne Feldkamp, Lincoln, and Lisa Kennedy and husband Darrell, Liberal; four grandchildren; one brother, William R. Meili and wife Larinda, Lincoln; and four sisters, Wilma Block, Topeka, Alice Gilmore and husband Leroy, Vesper, Dorothy Meier, Lincoln, and JoAnn Hemmer and husband Norman, Topeka.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Ray Meili, one step brother, Albert Ripple, and one grandson, Benjamin Feldkamp.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Hall Chapel with the Rev. Gerald Radtke presiding.

Burial will be in Lincoln City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Hall Chapel. The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Hall Chapel.

Memorials are suggested to Lincoln County Hospital Medical Equipment Fund.

JAMES C. FORD

James C. Ford, 85, retired farmer, businessman, member of the Kansas House of Representatives and Fourth District Democratic Chairman of Sedgwick County, died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2005.

Survivors include his wife, Barbette, Wichita; four sons, James Earl, Bedford, Texas, Terry, Hugoton, Lex, Sugarland, Texas, and Thomas, Great Bend; three daughters, Kathy Dale, Hugoton, Regina Chapman, Haysville, and Lynn Burning, Wichita; 19 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Wilma Coulter, Hugoton, and Jewell Harvey, Wichita.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Resthaven Mortuary.

Visitation with family will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Resthaven Mortuary.

Memorials are suggested to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS 67202.

DOLORES M. TRUJILLIO

Dolores M. Trujillio, 52, died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2005, at her residence.

She was born April 29, 1952, to Marcelino and Antonia Parras Dominguez in Clayton, N.M.

She married Lawrence Trujillio. He survives.

She graduated from Clayton (N.M.) High School in 1970.

She worked as an aide at Dunaway Manor. She also worked for C + and Madden Oil Company.

Other survivors include two sons, Lawrence Trujillio, Liberal, and Robert Dominguez, Guymon, Okla.; one daughter, Carla Trujillio, Liberal; five grandchildren; four brothers, Tony Dominguez, Phoenix, Frank Dominguez, Amarillo, Texas, Joey Dominguez, Dumas, Texas, and Donnie Dominguez, Clayton, N.M.; and one sister, Gloria Lawson, Alvindale, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Miller Chapel.

Burial will be in Liberal Cemetery.

FRANCIS I. TRAHERN

SUBLETTE -- Francis I. (Stapleton) Trahern, 94, died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2005, at Cherry Creek Village Nursing Center in Wichita.

She was born Dec. 9, 1910, to Ralph B. and Myrtle (Dawson) Stapleton in Pueblo, Colo.

She married Raymond Trahern. He preceded her in death.

She was a LPN and worked for Thiemann Clinic and Hospital for many years.

She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Sublette.

Survivors include two sons, Sidney Trahern, Apache Junction, Ariz., and Boyce Trahern and wife Linda, Bowie, Texas; two daughters, Louise Schminke and husband Carl, Wichita, and Shirley Trimpa, Sublette; 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Lynch, Hugoton; and many relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, one son, Stanley Trahern, one grandson, Melvin Trahern Hertel, two brothers, Harold and Clifford Stapleton, and one sister, Fern Axton.

Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Haskell County Cemetery in Sublette with the Rev. Bill Thomas presiding.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to either Hospice Care of Kansas in Wichita or the donor's choice and may be mailed to Haskell County Funeral Home, Box 607, Sublette, KS 67877.

DORA M. TUXHORN

MONTEZUMA -- Dora Maxine Tuxhorn, 76, died Friday, Feb. 11, 2005, at Bethel Home Inc. in Montezuma.

She was born Feb. 14, 1928, to Clarence and Opal (Boyd) McDonald in Barton County.

She married Dale R. Tuxhorn Sept. 1, 1948, in Montezuma. He survives.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church and UMW, both of Montezuma.

Other survivors include two sons, Gary Tuxhorn and wife Kathy, Montezuma, and Ronald Tuxhorn and wife Gayle, Montezuma; one daughter, Deniese Barber and husband Kelly, Johnson; eight grandchildren; one great-grandson; one brother, Dale McDonald and wife Joan, Grove, Okla.; three sisters, Doris Friesen, Montezuma, Vera Kinnamon, Montezuma, and Nadine Tuxhorn and husband Melvin, Dodge City; and many relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, Reed Barber, and one brother, Glen McDonald.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Montezuma with the Rev. Gene Eshleman presiding.

Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Montezuma.

Friends may call until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to the United Methodist Church of Montezuma and may be mailed to Montezuma Funeral Home, Box 421, Montezuma, KS 67867.
