Frank Shelburn, 71, Winfield, died Sunday, May 18, 2002, at his home. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2002, at Miles Funeral Service.
Inurnment will be in Highland Cemetery. Cremation has been effected.
The family will greet friends at the funeral home from 7-8 p.m. today.
Memorials have been established for Winfield Meals on Wheels and the ALS Foundation (Lou Gehrig's Disease).
Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Miles Funeral Service, Winfield.

Michael E. "Mike" Atkins, 51, Arkansas City, died Saturday, May 18, 2002, at his residence.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 23, 2002, at the Central Christian Church.
His body has been donated to medical science through the University of Kansas Medical School in Kansas City.
The family will greet friends at their home on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m.
Memorials have been established with the Lupus Foundation of America and Hospice Care of Kansas.
Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home, Arkansas City.

Ivan Keown, 94, died Monday, May 20, 2002, at Medicalodge North.
Arrangements are pending and under the direction of the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home, Arkansas City.

Anna Catherine Wood, 94, Winfield, died Monday, May 20, 2002, at Cumbernauld Village in Winfield.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 23, 2002, in the Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta.
Friends may call at the funeral home from noon until 9 p.m. today. The family will greet friends from 6:30-8 p.m.
A memorial has been established for the Cumbernauld Village Activities Fund in Winfield. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Miles Funeral Service, Winfield.

Louise Kemper Rahn, 83, of Midland, Texas, died Tuesday, May 21, 2002, in Arkansas City.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2002, at the First United Methodist Church.
Interment will be in The National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific No. 148, Honolulu, Hawaii, at her husband's side.
Military contributions were given by the life of her first husband, Lt. R.M. Long of Ark City, killed in the Pacific during World War II.
Louise had accepted his Air Medal posthumously.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hawks Funeral Home, Arkansas City.

Aubrey C. Harp, 84, of Arkansas City, died Thursday (May 23, 2002) at his residence.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 28 at the Central Christian Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home, Arkansas City.

Kathryn L. Snow, 89, of Littleton, Colo. died Tuesday (May 21, 2002) at the Johnson Center Nursing Home in Littleton.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 28 at Highland Cemetery in Winfield. Kathryn was born Dec. 5, 1911 in Muskogee, Okla. to Edward M. and Elizabeth (Blair) Kope. She was raised and educated in Winfield. A memorial has been established with the Alzheimer's Association Rocky Mountain Chapter, 789 Sherman, Denver, Colo., 80203.
Arrangements are under the direction of Swisher-Taylor & Morris Funeral Home, Winfield.

Robert L. "Buck" Smith, 89, of Rock, died Thursday (May 23, 2002).
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 28 at the Douglass Cemetery with the Rev. Riet Stonger officiating.
A memorial has been established with the Udall Recreation Commission and Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home, Douglass.

Bill R. Rutter, 79, Belle Plaine, died Sunday, May 26, 2002, in Bixby, Okla.
Graveside inurnment services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 30, 2002, in Ninnescah Cemetery south of Udall. Cremation has been effected.

Lillie May Sodowsky, 64, Arkansas City, died Monday, May 27, 2002, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2002, at the First Southern Baptist Church in Arkansas City with Rev. Virgil Swift officiating.
Interment will be in Parker Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home, Arkansas City.

Jonie Jean Phillips Pitts, 58, Oxford, died Monday, May 27, 2002, at her home.
Arrangements are pending and under the direction of the Oxford Funeral Service, Oxford.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
