Drusilla Wagner

Funeral for Drusilla Wagner, 92, will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of the First United Methodist Church, Garden City, with the Rev. Harry Walz officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Dodge City.

Mrs. Wagner died Friday, March 9, 2001, at Terrace Garden Care Center in Garden City.

She was born May 30, 1908, at Fellsburg in Edwards County, the daughter of Vern and Edith (Leonard) Stark. When she was young, the family moved to Hanston, where she grew up and attended school.

On Oct. 25, 1924, she married Russell Carl Wagner at Dodge City. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to a farm in Hodgeman County where they lived for 50 years. He died in 1969. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Lawrence Stark.

Mrs. Wagner moved to Garden City in 1980. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Garden City, a 50-year member of the Rebekah Lodge at Jetmore, belonged to the Extension Homemakers Unit, the Senior Center of Finney County, and Lincoln Good Will, and enjoyed crafts and crocheting.

Survivors include a son, Dale Wagner, Garden City; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation hours are from 5 to 8 tonight at Garnand Funeral Home, Garden City. Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice, in care of the funeral home.

E. Aileen Ramsey

SCOTT CITY - Funeral for E. Aileen Ramsey, 89, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church, Scott City, with the Rev. Mike McGuire officiating. Burial will be in Scott County Cemetery, Scott City.

Mrs. Ramsey died Friday, March 9, 2001, at Park Lane Nursing Home in Scott City.

She was born July 13, 1911, in Sedgwick County, the daughter of Llewellyn J. and Adda (Boyer) Biggs. She attended Biggs School and graduated from Bentley High School.

On June 1, 1932, she married Glen T. Ramsey at Wichita. They then moved from Bentley to Scott County, where they made their home on their farm in the Manning community.

A homemaker, she was a charter member of the William Carpenter 4-H Foundation and was a 4-H leader for many years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, a lifetime member of United Methodist Women, and belonged to the Better Homes EHU and the Study & Social Club.

Her husband died Aug. 2, 1986, at Scott City. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and two brothers.

Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Hess, Scott City, and Betty Jean Tedford, Allens Park, Colo.; a son, Richard Ramsey, Scott City; a brother, Vernon Biggs, Dayton, Ohio; two sisters, Gertrude Armbruster, Hutchinson, and Eula Mae Hayes, Wichita; eight grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Floyd Weldon Roberson Sr.

Funeral for Floyd Weldon Roberson Sr., 80, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Price & Sons Funeral Home, Garden City, with the Rev. Janet Hernandez officiating. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery, Garden City, with military honors conducted.

Mr. Roberson died Friday, March 9, 2001, at Garden Valley Retirement Village in Garden City.

He was born July 5, 1920, at Childress, Texas, the son of Paul B. and Onnie (Brown) Roberson.

A Garden City resident since 1959, moving from the area of Barton and Rice counties, he was a concrete and irrigation contractor. He was a member of the American Legion and a U.S. Army Air Corp veteran of World War II.

On Aug. 5, 1942, he married Erma R. Hedges at Sterling. She survives. He is also survived by a son, F. Weldon Roberson Jr., Wichita; three daughters, Roma S. Bizzell, Hays, Janie L. Nusser, Laramie, Wyo., and Lisa B. Gleason, Garden City; a brother, Raymond Roberson, and a sister, Margie Bernhardt, both of Newton; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Visitation hours are until 8 tonight at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, in care of the funeral home, 620 N. Main St.

Gertrude "Babe" Wilmoth Moss

HUGOTON - Funeral for Gertrude "Babe" Wilmoth Moss, 82, was to be 10 this morning at Paul's Funeral Home, Hugoton, with the Rev. Josue P. Mora officiating. Burial will be in Liberal Cemetery.

Mrs. Moss died Friday, March 9, 2001, at Stevens County Hospital in Hugoton.

She was born June 4, 1918, at Kismet, the daughter of Charles Melvin and Willie Wilmoth (Tisdal) Kiddoo.

On July 22, 1939, she married Harry P. Moss at Guymon, Okla. They moved from Mexico, Mo., to Hugoton in 1959. He died Oct. 30, 1982. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Charles Kiddoo and Farris Kiddoo; and three sisters, Edith Kiddoo, Ethel Kiddoo and Bertha Buckmaster.

A homemaker, Mrs. Moss had also cooked for Stevens County Hospital. She was a member of Hugoton Baptist Church and Order of the Eastern Star at Plains.

She is survived by two sons, Jim Moss and Bill Moss, both of Hugoton; a daughter, Edith Lorene Bell, Moscow; a brother, Alva Kiddoo, Apache Junction, Ariz.; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.

Alfred "Al" Warren

Alfred "Al" Warren, 87, of Garden City, died Wednesday, March 7, 2001, at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Campus, Wichita.

He was born Nov. 3, 1913, at Canton, Okla., the son of Dee and Mary Elizabeth (Crosby) Warren. He grew up in Canton and attended schools there.

Mr. Warren served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He had resided in Liberal since 1948. On Sept. 21, 1951, he married Carolyn T. Vaughn at Clayton, N.M. They lived in Liberal until moving to Garden City in 1968.

Mr. Warren worked for many years as a pipe fitter for natural gas companies in Oklahoma and Kansas. He later owned and operated Warren Motors in Garden City.

He was a member of First Assembly of God Church, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching baseball and working on cars.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Alfred Lee Warren, Liberal, Tim W. Warren, Garden City, and Bill Warren, Hastings, Neb.; five daughters, Mary Catherine Landureth, Laverne, Okla., Aleta Mae Whitfield, Liberal, Ruth Ann Wallace, Port St. Lucie, Fla., Alicia C. Vanatta, Montgomery, Texas, and Patty C. Warren, Garden City; a brother, Howard Warren, Liberal; a sister, Hazel Coberly, Oklahoma City; 20 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Larry Dean Warren; a daughter, Tammie Jo Warren; three brothers; and two sisters.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at Garnand Funeral Home, Garden City, with the Rev. Gary Don Newman officiating. Burial will be in Liberal City Cemetery.

Visitation hours are from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials to the Alfred Warren Memorial Fund may be sent in care of the funeral home.

Alma Virginia Phillips

Funeral for Alma Virginia Phillips, 83, a former Garden City resident, will be 11 this morning at D.W. Newcomers Chapel, Overland Park.

Mrs. Phillips died Tuesday, March 6, 2001, at the Johnson County Nursing Home in Olathe.

She was born May 14, 1917, at Tyro, Ark., the youngest of 13 children.

A Garden City resident since 1944, she was a day care provider until her retirement. In 1981, she moved to Olathe to be near her daughters.

Survivors include a son, Collin A. Phillips, Goosecreek, N.C.; five daughters, Brenda J. Mustoe, Cookville, Tenn., Linda Sligh, Jefferson City, Mo., Jacquelyn K. Veasley, Overland Park, Wanda Cooley, Westwood, and Janet Mulik, Lenexa; nine grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and six stepgreat-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Eden Pet Program at Johnson County Nursing Center, 11875 S. Sunset St., Olathe, KS 66061.

A. Reinhart Kuhlman

A. Reinhart Kuhlman, 90, of Lead, S.D., died Wednesday, March 7, 2001, at Dorsett Health Care Center in Spearfish, S.D.

He was born June 22, 1910, at Lydia, the son of August and Clara (Prousch) Kuhlman. He graduated from the University of Nebraska with a master's degree.

On April 4, 1970, he married Della M. James at Lakin. They moved to the Black Hills of South Dakota in 1973 following his retirement from the United States Department of Agriculture after more than 33 years of service as an agronomist.

Mr. Kuhlman was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Lead, was a 60-year member of the Lions Club and the Boy Scouts, received the "Top Hand Award" from the Society of Range Management, and received the Silver Beaver and Llama Award in Boy Scouts.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Myron Kuhlman, Houston, and Armine Kuhlman, San Diego; a stepson, Fred Anschutz, Tonto Verde, Ariz.; a stepdaughter, Nancy Robinson, Marion, Ill.; a brother, Elton Kuhlman, Great Bend; a sister, Violet Joiner, Lakin; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, in 1968; and a sister.

Graveside service will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in Lydia Cemetery. Friends are invited to Garnand Funeral Home, Lakin, from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday before leaving for the cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the Sight and Sound Project of the Lions Club, in care of Garnand Funeral Home, Garden City.
