Walter Lloyd Means, 79, Ashland, Ohio, died Monday, Oct. 21, 2002, at the Louis Stokes Veterans Administration Medical Center. Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, 2002, at the IXL Baptist Church with Pastor Jeff Bradley, Sharon, Okla., officiating. Cremation has been effected.

Carol Leroy Lowe, 92, Winfield, died Monday, Nov. 3, 2002, at Winfield Rest Haven. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, 2002, at the Tisdale United Methodist Church. Robert "Bob" John Green, 55, Arkansas City, died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2002, at his residence. A memorial has been established with the American Quarter Horse Association Scholarship Fund. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.

Eva Joe Boyer, longtime Newkirk area resident, died Wednesday night, November 6, 2002 in Shawn Manor, Ponca City. she was 94. Arrangements are pending and will be announced later by Miller-Stahl Funeral Services. A memorial fund has been established with the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, Cancer research division.

Bernice I. Struble, 65, of Arkansas City died Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2002 at the South Central Kansas Regional Medical Center in Arkansas City. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Friday, Nov. 8, 2002 at the Parker Cemetery in Arkansas City. A memorial has been established with the Arkansas City Senior Center. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.

Richard Alan Lee, 46, Winfield, died Friday, Nov. 8, 2002, at William Newton Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2002, in the Oxford Christian Church with Rev. Danny Ginn officiating. Interment will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Douglass Cemetery in Douglass. Friends may call at the funeral home until 8 p.m. today. The casket will remain closed at the church. Louis Paul Chouteau, Jr., 65, Arkansas City resident and former Ponca City, Okla., resident, died Thursday, Nov. 7, 2002, at the South Central Kansas Regional Medical Center in Arkansas City. The Rosary will be recited today at 7 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Arkansas City with Father John Brungardt officiating, accompanied by the Knights of Columbus Honor Guard. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2002, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Ponca City.

Patsy Lou Headrick, 69, Arkansas City, died Friday, Nov. 8, 2002, at the South Central Kansas Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, Nov. 11, 2002 at the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home with the Reverend Mark D. Boxman officiating. Interment will follow in the Parker Cemetery. A memorial has been established with the Cowley County Humane Society. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.

Linda Lou Bowker-Scott, 56, Texas City, Texas, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002, at Mainland Medical Center in Texas City. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2002, at Emken-Linton Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock.

Mary Ellen Hunter, 98, former Douglass resident, died Saturday, Nov. 9, 2002, at the Riverview Manor in Oxford. Graveside funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, 2002, in the Douglass Cemetery in Douglass. Friends may call at the funeral home from noon until 9 p.m. Wednesday. Kindred officiating. Military honors will be provided by Spencer Ralston post No. 1254 VFW, Arkansas City. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to Hospice Care of Kansas. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.

A memorial has been established for the Parkinson's Disease Foundation. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.

Interment will follow in the Memorial Lawn Cemetery. A memorial has been established with the St. Paul United Methodist Church in Arkansas City. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
