Reed, Lorene Adele McClellan, Hayworth, passed away on January 27, 2005 at the age of 82 at the Haysville Health Center after a long illness of 14 years.
Lorene was born to Dugald and Nellie (Woods) Carmichael on a farm northeast of Plainville on August 26, 1922.
The family moved to Plainville in 1924.
Lorene graduated from Plainville High in 1940 with her cousins, Joy, Mildred and Elmo.
Lorene married Wayne McClellan on January 24, 1942.
Wayne & Lorene spent their entire married life in Zurich, Kansas.
Into this union were born Larry Eugene, Gary Wayne and Linda Marie.
After Wayne's death, mother then married Berton Hayworth, divorced him and later married Alfred Reed.
Lorene was preceded in death by Mary Louise Carmichael, Larry Eugene, Wayne McClellan, Berton Hayworth and Alfred Reed.
Mom was a female Cap Bollig/Don Rickles, always ready to debate anyone on any subject, needless to say very few out did her.
She was known for her sharp wit and constant smile.
Lorene dearly loved to play the piano.
Music was a very important part of her life.
Lorene leaves to mourn her passing her children, Gary & Susan McClellan of Wichita, KS, Linda & Bob Sears of Garland, TX; Her grandchildren Melinda & David Carpenter of Parkville, MO, James & Desiree McClellan of Wichita, KS, Terri & Mike Jones of Austin, TX, Michele Sears of Garland, TX; great-grandsons Alexander & Christopher Carpenter of Parksville, MO, Gavin McClellan of Wichita, KS and Landon Jones of Austin, TX.
The family requests that memorials be sent to the Plainville United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 427, Plainville, KS 67663.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Plainville United Methodist Church with Reverend Batbara Patterson officiating.
Cochran Mortuary, Wichita has charge of the arrangements.

Lawrence, Edward G, 87, retired Boeing Aircraft Company machinist, died Sunday, January 30, 2005.
Funeral service 2:00 p.m. Thursday.
Interment, 2:00 p.m. Friday, Liberal, Kansas Cemetery.
Mr. Lawrence is survived by his wife, Winona; daughter, Glenda Jane Lawrence-Burger of Houston, Texas. 4 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild.
A memorial is suggested to The American Red Cross, Midway-Kansas Chapter, P.O. Box 3726, Wichita, Kansas 67201

Engber, Martin W. "Marty", 88, retired Beech Aircraft Plant II Quality Control Foreman went to be with his Lord on Sunday, January 30, 2005.
He died peacefully in his sleep under the care of his family and Harry Hynes Hospice.
Visitation with the family present will be 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday at the Cochran Mortuary.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 925 North Waco.
Survivors, Wife, Lorraine of the home; Sons, William Engber, M.D., of Madison, Wisc., Kenneth Engber of Wichita; grandchildren, Cristine Engber of Wichita, James Enger of Las Angeles, CA and Lisa Engber Shomo of Burbank, CA; six nephews and six nieces.
Martin Engber was born in Columbus, OH to Michael and Susanna Engber on May 4, 1916.
He spent his early years in Ohio, played football on a semi-pro team and attended Ohio State University.
He came to Wichita in 1941 and joined Beech Aircraft corporation as a quality control inspector.
While at Beech, Marty met the love of his life Lorraine Schneider and they were united in marriage on December 25, 1942.
This past Christmas, they celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary.
Marty retired from Beech Aircraft in 1981 after 40 years of service.
After retirement he was busier than ever.
He did volunteer work for Wesley Medical Center, installing Lifelines for the elderly and was a charter member of Lifeline for over 20 years.
He also had more time to pursue one of his favorite hobbies of finish carpentry and woodworking where he loved to create things of beauty out of maple and oak.
Retirement also gave he and Lorraine more time to enjoy traveling and their summer place at Beaver Lake, Arkansas.
Marty was an active memeber of St. Paul's Lutheran Church for over 60 years, the Boy Scouts of America, and the Beech Boat Club.
Memorials have been established with St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 925 N. Waco, Wichita, KS 67203 and Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS 67202.

Saggerty, Crystal Belle, 94, retired Tommie's Cleaners clerk, died Monday, January 31, 2005.
Services 1:00 p.m. Friday, Cochran Mortuary.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Frances of Wichita, Steven and Fran of Gatesville, Texas; 5 grandsons; 6 great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the American Cancer Society, sutie 100, Wichita, Kansas 67202.

Wells, Kathleene E., 76, retired Koch Industries accountant, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, February 25, 2005.
Visitation with the family present: 4:00 until 7:00 p.m Monday at Cochran Mortuary.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Rosamay White of Concord, California and grandson, Eric Skinner of Boulder, CO.
She is survived by daughters, Tomi Lee McJimsey of Wichita and Gail K. Skinner and her husband, David of Boulder; granddaughter, Amy Hartman and her husband, Andy of Golder, CO. Funeral service: 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 5th at Trinity Lutheran Church, Boulder.
A memorial has been established with: Eric Skinner Memorial Scholarship with the College of Music, University of Colorado at Boulder.

Millsap, Charles O., 65, Textile Supply Company vice president, died Friday, February 25, 2005.
Visitation with the family present: 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday, at Gospel Assembly Church, 4230 North Oliver.
Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, Gospel Assembly Church.
Survivors: wife, Jane Millsap, of the home; sons and spouses, Charles J. and Berniece Millsap of Wichita and Paul and Janice Millsap of Springfield, MO., brother Dean Berg of Clearwater, KS, 1/2 brother, Alan and Bonita Fieser, both of Bradenton, FL; seven grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with Haiti Community Resources Development "Clinin in a Can", 4230 North Oliver, Wichita, Kansas 67220.

Thomas, Charles E., 83, retired IRS Revenue Officer and WWII U.S. Navy veteran, died Friday, February 25, 2005.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at Jamesburg Park Cemetery.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Kirk and Michelle Thomas of Toms River, N.J.; daughters and sons-in-law, Paula and Jim Precht of Shawnee, KS, Karen and Keith VanSkike of Norton, KS; brother, Ravon Thomas of Wichita; sister, Virginia Webb of Wichita; 7 grandchildren

Fisch, Frederick W., 91, retired City of Wichita Auto Mechanic, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his son & daughter-in-law, Rev. Charles & Cara Fisch of Wichita; sister, Millie Popp of Knoxville, TN; caregivers, Ernest and Sheridan Drowatsky of Wichita; 2 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials have been established with Life Care Center of Andover, 621 W. 21st St., Andover, KS 67002 and St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 925 N. Waco, Wichita, KS 67203.

Oman-Poole, Aydia Lauren, 3 month old daughter of Steven Poole and Laura Oman, passed away Friday, Feb. 25, 2005.
Memorial services will be 4 p.m. Wednesday, Cochran Mortuary.
Preceded in death by her grandmother, Leta L. Oman.
Survivors include her parents, brother Gage and sister, Haleigh both of the home; grandparents, Bill and Lois Poole, Burnell J. Oman all of Wichita.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established with Rainbows United, 340 S. Broadway, Wichita, KS 67202.

Schroeder, Christie Louis "Chris", 96, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, March 2, 2005.
Service 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 7, 2005, Cochran Mortuary.
Chris was born September 4, 1908 to Louis Frederick Christian and Katie Wubben Schroeder on a farm near Salem, SD.
The family later moved to a farm near Paola in Miami County, Kansas.
Chris grew up on that farm and attended a country school down the road.
After graduating from Paola High School, he completed a degree at Pittsburg State Teachers College.
He taught math and science at Paola Junior High, where Maurine Essex taught English across the hall.
They were married on June 9, 1940.
They moved to Wichita in 1941 after he had completed a degree in mechanical engineering at KU.
He worked for Coleman and Boeing, and was a licensed professional engineer.
Chris loved being outdoors.
He was a tireless gardener and an avid fisherman.
He is survived by his wife of almost 65 years, Maurine; by daughters Marcia of Wichita and Anita of Alexandria, VA and by son, Dale, daughter-in-law, Carolyn, and granddaughters, Amy and Laura of Duluth, MN.
He is also survived by sisters, Lena Secrest, Gardner, KS, Kathryn Rogers, Spring Hill, KS, Edith Hartley, Vancouver, WA and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Wesley and Lewis and sisters, Margaret Stiles and Esther Thorne.
A memorial has been established with The Nature Conservancy, 700 SW Jackson, Suite 804, Topeka, KS 66603.

Arango, Ventura Najera, 28, died Sunday, March 6, 2005. Services Pending.

Bauman, Pamela, 53 died Sunday, March 6, 2005.
Trisaigon and funeral service 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, St. George Orthodox Christian Cathedral, Wichita; interment 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Attica City Cemetery.
Survivors: husband, Michael; son, Garrison and Sister Jackie Lageson of Portland, OR.
A Memorial has been established with St. Barbara's Monestary, P.O. Box 91122, Santa Barbara, CA 93190-3239.
