Linda Barnes, 56, Arkansas City, died Thursday, Jan. 23, 2003, at the Via Christi Medical Center-St. Joseph Campus in Ponca City, Okla.

Arrangements are pending and under the direction of the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home, Arkansas City.

Linda Sue Barnes, 56, of Arkansas City, died Thursday, Jan. 23, 2003 at the Via Christi Oklahoma Medical Center, Ponca City. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Monday, Jan. 27, 2003 at the First Baptist Church of Arkansas City with Dr. Richard Nelson officiating. Internment will follow at Parker Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2003 at the funeral home. A memorial has been established for the Linda S. Barnes Scholarship at Cowley College. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home.

Dr. Terry L. Terril, 66, Princeton, Mo., died Friday, Jan. 24, 2003, in rural Princeton. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2003, at Maple Hill funeral Home. Interment will be in Floral Hills Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at the Mercer High School at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 31. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to Terry L. Terril Memorial Fund, benefiting the North Mercer R-E School District, P.O. Box 648, Mercer, MO 64661.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Maple Hill Funeral Home, Kansas City, Kan.

Wayne E. Cook, 51, formerly of Arkansas City, died Thursday, Jan. 23, 2003, at the Salt Lake City, VA Administration Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Memorial services are pending.

Viola Fern Roberts, 95, died Saturday, Jan. 25, 2003, in Colleyville, Texas. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2003, in Buzzard Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Okla.

Velma I. "Boots" Seal, 75, Arkansas City, died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2003, at South Central Kansas Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2003, in the Knowles Cemetery in Crescent, Okla., with Brother Robbie Robbins of Bible Baptist Church of Guthrie and Brother Ralph Stone of Trinity Baptist Church of Arkansas City officiating. A memorial has been established with the American Cancer Society. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home, Arkansas City.

Herschel E. Giles, 84, formerly of Great Bend, died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2003, at Good Samaritan Village in Winfield. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, 2003, at Miles Funeral Service. Private inurnment services will be held at a later date. Cremation has been effected. A memorial has been established for the Shriner's Childrens Hospital. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.

Clint A. Leonard, 82, Winfield, died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2003, at William Newton Hospital in Winfield. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 31, 2003, at Miles Funeral Service. Interment will be in the Highland Cemetery in Winfield. Friends may call at the funeral home from noon to 9 p.m. on Thursday. Memorials have been established for the American Legion Baseball Program and the VFW Post No. 3544 Lodge Remodeling Project. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.

Arrangements are under the direction of Miles Funeral Service, Winfield.

Eusebio Zavala, 75, Wichita, died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2003, at the Via Christi Medical Center - St. Francis Campus, Wichita.

Arrangements are pending and under the direction of the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home, Arkansas City.

Funeral services for Linda Sue Barnes, 56,, Arkansas City, who died Thursday, Jan. 23, 2003, were conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 27, 2003, at the First Baptist Church in Arkansas City with Rev. Doctor Richard Nelson of the First Baptist Church officiating. Interment was in Parker Cemetery.

Harry D. Brock, 79, Belle Plaine, died Friday, Jan. 31, 2003, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2003, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 22nd and Plum in Wellington. Interment will be in the Geuda Springs Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday and the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. A memorial has been established with the Barner Senior Center and Friendship Meals in Belle Plaine. Contributions may be made through the funeral home, in lieu of flowers.

Wilda M. (Graham) Trent, 72, Arkansas City, died Sunday, Feb. 2, 2003, at South Central Kansas Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2003, in Parker Cemetery with Rev. Mark Boxman of the Redeemer Lutheran Church officiating. A memorial has been established with the American Heart Association. Contributions may be given through the funeral home.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home, Arkansas City.

Agnes J. Neises, 70, Arkansas City, died Friday, Jan. 31, 2003, at Resthaven of Winfield. A Rosary vigil will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2003, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2003, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father John B. Brungardt as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Geuda Springs Cemetery. A memorial has been established in her name with the Sacred Heart School Endowment Fund. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.

Erma Ruth Dixon Munday, 67, Blackwell, died Friday, Jan. 31, 2003, at Via Christi Oklahoma Regional Medical Center in Ponca City, Okla. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2003, at the Braman High School Gymnasium in Braman with Rev. Rowland Briggs of Blackwell, officiating. Interment will be at 3:30 p.m. in the Agnew Cemetery in Keefton, Okla. A memorial has been established with the Arkansas City Senior Center. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.

John Allen Carter, 88, Newkirk, died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003, at Medicalodge North, Arkansas City. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2003, in Newkirk Cemetery with his stepson, Rev. Dennis Jordan officiating. A memorial has been established with the Assembly of God Church, Newkirk. Contributions may be made through Eastman National Bank, Newkirk.

James Dale Parker, 80, Arkansas City, died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003, at the Kansas Veterans Home in Winfield. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2003, in the chapel of Memorial Lawn Cemetery with Rev. James Newman officiating. A memorial has been established for the Missionary Fund of the Assembly of God. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.

Elizabeth Earlougher Cox, 94, died Monday, January 27, 2003. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, 2003, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Memorials have been established for St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 2117 Walnut St., Bellingham, WA 98225, or to a charity of your choice.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Jones/Moles Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bellingham, Wash.

Harry D. Brock, Belle Plaine, formerly of Arkansas City, died Friday, Feb. 1, 2003, at the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.

Larry Dean Trotter, 61, Winfield, died Thursday, Jan. 30, 2003, at his home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 3, 2003, at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. Military interment will follow in Highland Cemetery. A memorial has been established for Hospice Care of Kansas. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.

Donald Raymond Patterson, Jr., 87, Arkansas City, died Thursday, Jan. 30, 2003, at South Central Kansas Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003, at the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home with Rev. Joyce Daniel officiating. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery. Memorials have been established with the Presbyterian Manor Health Care Unit or the South Central Kansas Regional Medical Center. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.

Grace E. Herlacher (Nee Morse), 89, died Monday, January 27, 2003. Grace was born in Arkansas City, on October 13, 1913, as the seventh child in a family of eleven children. She retired from the CF&I in 1976 after 33 years as a clerical worker.

Arrangements are under the direction of the T.G. McCarthy Funeral Home, Pueblo, Colo.

ayne E. Cook, died Thursday, January 23, 2003, from complications of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. Memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, 2003, at the Central Christian Church in Arkansas City, where he went as a youth. All are welcome to come and say a few words. Price W. Heimer, 83, longtime resident of Winfield, died Thursday, Jan. 30, 2003, at Cumbernauld Village in Winfield. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 3, 2003, at Miles Funeral Service. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery. A memorial has been established for the Alzheimer's Disease Research Foundation. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
