Thursday, April 25, at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens 94th and State Ave. Kansas City, KS. Friends may call 6-8 P.M. Wednesday at the Porter Funeral Home 1835 Minnesota Ave. Kansas City, KS 66102. Cecil was born October 4, 1948, in Ft. Dodge, Iowa and was raised on the family farm in Vincent, Iowa. He moved to Kansas City in 1966 and has worked for Liberty Fruit Company as a Quality Control Inspector for 20 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lyall McMannus. He is survived by his wife, June McMannus, of the home, 3 sons, Cecil Alvis and Scott McMannus, both of KCK, O'Ryann McMannus, KC, MO, 3 brothers, Wayne, James, and Kevin McMannus, all of Vincent, IA, and 3 grandchildren. Kansas City, KS Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Noel Cemetery, Noel, MO. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Porter Funeral Home, 1835 Minnesota Ave., K.C.KS. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Church or the American Heart Association. Harry was born August 26, 1933, in Liberty, MO and was a lifetime area resident. He had been a chef for Meadowbrook Country Club, Lake Quivira Country Club, the cafeteria at the Federal Building and retired in 1996 as the chef for the Priest's at Rockhurst College. He was a member of Bristol Hill United Methodist Church and was a Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife of 47 yrs, Evelynn Gow, of the home, 2 sons& their wives, Harvey "Bud" & Dianna Gow, Noel, MO, Scott & Theresa Gow, K.C.MO, 2 brothers, Bill Gow, Boliver, MO, Joe Gow, Boulder, NV, sister, Billie Klempnauer, Drexel, MO, 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Memorial Services will be 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, at the Wyandotte County Christian Church, 13700 Leavenworth Rd. Kansas City, KS. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Servia, IN. The family suggests memorial contributions to Leavenworth Homestead Assisted Living Residence, Wyandotte County Christian Church or Southern Care Hospice of Lawrence, KS. Clinton was born June 27, 1902, in West Fork, IN, the son of William Gaston & Maggie Doolittle Willis, and was reared in the Methodist Church. He had lived most of his life in South Bend, IN and Plymouth, IN before moving to Basehor in 1998. He had been a chemist for the Studebaker Automobile Co for 30 yrs and then a chemistry teacher at the Indiana University Extension in South Bend, retiring in 1970. He was a graduate of Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. He was married to Ruth Clark on June 16, 1929, and she preceded him in death in 1998. He is survivied by 2 daughters, Alma Louise Dreiner, Ocala, FL, Mary Ellen Rich, Basehor, KS, 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Mrs. Haldeman was born August 1, 1915, in Hiawatha, KS and had resided in the Kansas City area since 1946. She was a former member of the Calvary Baptist Church and its Doris Spencer Missionary Circle. She is currently a member of Grandview Baptist Church. She worked for 29 years in various departments of the Business Mens Assurance before retiring in 1975. MRS. Haldeman is survived by her husband of 64 years, Glen Norman Haldeman, of the home, daughter Gloria Ann Roy and husband Jim, Overland Park, KS, 2 grandsons Steve G. Cowart and wife Cyndi, Olathe, KS, Mark A. Roy and wife Cathy, Kansas City North, MO, 5 great granddaughters Shelby, Chloe, Haylee, Allie, Samantha, brother Edgar H. Armstrong, Auburn, CA, sister Edith Berling, Spring Valley, CA, nephew Brian Berling and wife Sue, great neice, Nicole, great nephew, Michael all of San Diego, CA, plus many extended family and friends.
