Saturday, September 15, at the Porter Funeral Home, 1835 Minnesota Ave. Kansas City, Kansas. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery. Friends may call 9-10 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the AMERICAN DIABETES ASSOCIATION OF KANSAS CITY 9201 WARD PARKWAY, SUITE 300, KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI 64114. Vera was born April 14, 1913, in Kansas City, Kansas and was a lifelong resident of the Kansas City area. She was a Dental Assistant and Office Manager for Dr. Aubrey Gentry for 23 years, retiring in 1980. She was a member of the Overland Park Presbyterian Church, lifetime member of the PTA, and was past president of the Kansas State Dental Assistant Association. She was preceded by her husband, Harry and two sons, Jack and Paul. She is survived by a sister, Edith Allison, Mission, KS, aunt, Ann Blowers, Prairie Village, KS 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 5 nieces and nephews.

Monday, Sept. 17th at the Porter Funeral Home, 1835 Minn. Ave., KCKs. 66102. Burial in Memorial Park Cemetery, KCKs. Friends may call from 1-2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, 2900 Minnesota Ave. KCKS 66102. Lola was born Sept. 16, 1912, in Lansing, KS. and had lived in KCKs for most of her life before moving to be near her daughter in Oregon in 1999. She was employed with the W.T. Grant Department Store in KCKs. for 16 years where she retired as the office manager in 1980. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert in 1967, and sister, Phyllis Pike in 1963. She was a Registered Nurse for Bethany Hospital and Providence Medical Center for 17 years retiring in 1971. She was a member of Community of Christ Church. She was preceded in death by her husband William B. Taylor in 1979. She is survived by 2 daughters Vicki Womack, Sherry McCarthy, both of Kansas City, KS, 3 grandsons Todd, Rodney, Andrew, 2 great-granddaughters Sorrella and Lilly. She was a member and former deaconness of the First Presbyterian Church of Kansas City, KS. Blanche was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Howard Mathas who died March 21, 1974. Willard was born February 25, 1911, in Kansas City, KS. He graduated from Wyandotte High School, where he was in the Drama Club and Marching Band. He later attended Kansas City Kansas Junior College. He married Edith Jane Minturn. He worked two years for the United States Postal Service, and 40 years for the Phillips Petroleum Fairfax Refinery, retiring in 1976. He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. He is survived by a son, Willard Earl Kampmeier, Silver Lake, KS, a daughter, Sharon Malcolm, Kansas City, KS, 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren. The family suggests memorials to the church. Bud was born March 14, 1916, in Kansas City, KS. and had been a lifelong resident of the Kansas City area. He was a switchman for the Union Pacific Railroad for 30 years, before retiring in 1981. He was an Army veteran, a member of the VFW and the Eagles Lodge, St. Anthony and Christ the King Parishes. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. Bud is survived by his wife, Frances Hillers, of the home., two daughters, Lee Jennings, Littleton, CO, Sharon Perkins, Littleton, CO, two brothers, Kenneth and Bill Hillers, both of Kansas City, KS, a sister, Mary Hillers, Kansas City, KS, two grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Rosella was born May 4, 1904, to Charles and Rose Bash in Ferrelview, MO and was a lifetime Kansas City area resident. She was a member and active in many of the organizations at the Colonial Presbyterian Church and was a past president of the Central Grade School PTA in K.C.KS. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Fink in 1978 who had been an architect in the K.C. area and a son, Richard Lee Fink. She is survived by a son and his wife, K. William and Mary Ellen Fink, K.C.MO, grandson and his wife, Steven and Becki Fink, K.C.MO, granddaughter, Cynthia Nickel, Fayetteville, N.C., daughter in law, Diana Fink, Lee's Summit, MO, and 3 great grandchildren, Steven, Chelsea and Braxton. She was a member of the Sigma Kappa Sorority. She had been employed with the United States Postal Service; the Internal Revenue Service; and the Marine Corps Finance Center before beginning her career with the Environmental Protection Agency in 1984. She was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church and its Stephen Ministry. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Susie Bartlow Sontheimer, of St. Joseph, MO. Mary is survived by her husband of 18 years, Terry Clark; daughter Kelly; and son Kevin, all of the home; 2 brothers Tom Sontheimer and wife Cathy; and William Sontheimer, all of St. Joseph, MO.as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends. She will be remembered by her family and friends for her warm smile, and as a person who cared more, gave more, and loved more than was ever expected. Mrs. Darbonne was born February 24, 1931, in Solomon, KS and has lived in Kansas City, KS since 1954. She was a secretary for the U.S. Department of Labor for 33 years before retiring in 1995. After retiring Vera was a substitute teacher for the Kansas City KS School District #500. She had been an active member of the Assembly of God Church for 54 years serving as a Sunday School and Children's Church teacher, Missionette leader, and member of Women's Ministry. Vera is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, Ezeb Darbonne, of the home; 3 daughters, Patty J. Walter and husband Tom; Charlene L. Plotycia; Marilyn K. Beaird, and husband Robert; 1 son, Fred Darbonne, and wife, Rosemary; 2 brothers Kenneth W. Bledsoe, John Bledsoe; 4 sisters, Lucile Webber, Leveda Fancher, Nancy Kirby, Betty Gleason; 8 grandchildren, Nathan and Natalie Walter; Paul, Monica, and Rebekah Plotycia; David Darbonne; and Sophia, and Raquele Beaird. Vera loved the Lord Jesus. She served Jesus Christ with all her heart since she accepted him as her Lord and Savior at the age of 16.
