Melissa is the daughter of Sondra “Sam” and Steve Andersen of Arizona. Grandparents are Leslie Doty of Wichita, the late Melba Bedigrew Doty and the late Fred Bedigrew and Joyce and Lars Andersen of Nebraska. Melissa descended from Heaven as a bright and shining star and returns as a precious angel. During her short time on this earth, she touched the hearts of everyone she met. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in her name.

Robert was born May 7, 1916 in Oberlin, Kansas. He worked in the family-owned lumber yard business there for several years. Later he went to work for Boeing and retired in 1981. Amy was a 1986 graduate of Manhattan High School. She was the recipient of the Golden Scather Award during her hygienist training for her achievement as the most outstanding student. Stuber, Ralph J. “Joe”, 78, died Saturday August 2, 2003. Funeral service 1:30 P.M. Wednesday, Downing & Lahey Mortuary East. He attended public schools in Winfield and graduated from Southwestern College after serving in WWII. Joe was part owner of the Ford Dealership in Winfield until 1965. During his years in Winfield, he was the recipient of several community service awards. Relocating to Garden City in 1964, Joe was voted “Man of the Year” twice during his years with Farm and Ranch Life Insurance Co. In 1973, he transferred to Wichita. Preceded in death by parents, Ralph & Anna Stuber; brother, Ward; sisters, Esther Porter & Dutchie Youle. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Bonnie, son , Scott, son, Chris and his wife Debbie, son, Brent and his wife Stephanie, all of Wichita, daughter, Laura and her husband Greg of Houston, sister, Sarah Young of Topeka. His eleven grandchildren will remember their Grandpa for his playful nature, his love of sports and games. Each of them had their own special place in his heart. Dold, Evelyn Engstrom, 101, homemaker, died Wednesday, August 6, 2003. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, August 12, 2003 at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church. In 1939 she married Frederick Dold during a time she was serving as the Wichita Country Club’s first and only woman manager. Mr. Dold died in 1979. Mrs. Dold was a member of the Junior League of Wichita’s first provisional class in 1925. Later she was an accomplished silversmith and active in several arts and civic organizations, including the Wichita Art Association, (now Wichita Center for the Arts). A native of Wichita, Mrs. Dold is survived by two daughters, Joan Jaedicke and Judy Higdon both of Wichita; grandchildren, John Jaedicke and Mark Jaedicke both of Wichita, Anne Darcy (Steve) of Denver, CO., Sarah Fearn of Winston Salem, NC., Adam Higdon of Ft. Ann married Richard Curry, April 29, 1989, moving to Wichita, KS. Preceded in death by parents Aubin Jackson and Hazel E. Jack was Director and member of the Executive Committee of Rainbows United, was Chairman of the Quivira Council Boy Scouts, past President of the Wichita Country Club and was a past member of the Board of Advisors for KU Business School.
