Ron was born August 23, 1953, in Hastings, Nebraska, to Lawrence and Ruie Osgood.
He lived in Iowa and California before settling with his family in Kearney, Nebraska. In 1971 he graduated from Kearney High School and then attended Kearney State College. In 1976 he married Cecilia King, and in 1981 he moved his family to Wichita, Kansas. He was an active member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
Preceded in death by parents.
Survivors: wife, Cecilia; son, Kyle of Wichita; daughter, Lauren Osgood of Wichita; grandson, Demetri Osgood.

Ahlberg, Rowena
Ahlberg, Rowena, 85, homemaker and Wichita State University president's wife, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2002. Visitation with family 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Downing and Lahey Mortuary East; memorial service 4 p.m. Wednesday, Wiedemann Recital Hall, Wichita State University.
Mrs. Ahlberg was born Oct. 5, 1916 in Dewey, Okla., the first child of Earl and Martie Osborn. The family moved to Wichita and she attended Allison Intermediate School and graduated from East High School in 1934. She attended Wichita State University and joined the Pi Kappa Psi Sorority. She met her future husband, Clark Ahlberg in 1935 and they were married Aug. 8, 1941. To this union three children were born: Val Jeanne in 1947, Tom in 1950 and John in 1954.
In 1968, Mr. Ahlberg became president of Wichita State University. Mrs. Ahlberg spent most of her time at university related events. Due to her role as president's wife, she was able to enjoy Mr. Ahlberg's 15 year presidency (1968 to 1982) which was filled with accomplishments such as the sculpture and art collection and the addition of new buildings.
She was a member of W.S.U. Dames, the Book Club, the Thursday Afternoon Cooking Club, Rotary Anns, Pi Kappa Psi. She received a W.S.U. Alumni Association Award in 1981, the W.S.U. Ahlberg Hall Award and the Trio Award.
Preceded in death by son, John in 1999 and parents.
Survivors: husband, Clark; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Grant and Connie Ahlberg of Gig Harbour, Wash.; daughter, Val Jeanne Banta of Novato, Calif.; brother, Earl Osborn of Miami, Ariz.; grandchildren, Alec David Banta, Todd Ahlberg Banta, Ethan Grey Ahlberg, Jesse McGuire Ahlberg. Memorial established with Wichita State University Clark and Rowena Ahlberg Scholarship, 1845 Fairmount, Wichita, KS, 67260.

Hansen, Richard "Dick" G.
Hansen, Richard George “Dick”, 64, devoted son, husband and father, died at his home on December 21, 2007 of lung cancer. A rosary will be held 6:30 pm, Wednesday, December 26, 2007 with a funeral mass 10:00 am on Thursday, December 27, 2007 both at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Richard was born on January 8, 1943 in Oak Park, IL, to George and June Hansen. He married Jayne Stickney on October 25, 1969 in Dodge City, KS. He is survived by his wife, his mother of Wheaton, IL, two sisters; Judith Lynne Enos of Wheaton, IL, Barbara Hansen Lemme and her husband Ron of Glen Ellyn, IL; three sons: John Richard, MD of Overland Park, Ks, Matthew of Broken Bow, NE, Christian of Spring, TX, and many nieces and nephews. Richard graduated from Glenbard West High School in Glen Ellyn, IL, Elmhurst College, Elmhurst, IL and was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity. He was honorably discharged from the United States Army in 1979 with the rank of Captain. After working in retail and for SRS, he retired in 2007 from the United States Postal Services. Richard was a dedicated fan of KU basketball, the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs. He was a lifetime member of the NRA. He enjoyed playing bridge, pheasant hunting and home improvement projects. He will be remembered as loving, hard-working, generous and honest. Downing and Lahey West Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Memorial Contributions may be made to: The American Cancer Society.

Koepke, Gladys A.
Koepke, Gladys A., wife, mother, grandmother and former WAM docent died, Monday, December 24, 2007. Service 4:00 P.M., Friday, December 28, Eastminster Presbyterian Church Chapel. Mrs. Koepke was born in Chicago, Il and worked at the Continental Bank before meeting Robert M. Koepke. They were married December 8, 1945 and she gave birth to son, John in 1950. They moved to Shawnee Mission, KS where daughter, Leslie was born in 1954. They moved to Wichita in 1957 and were founding members of Eastminster Church. Mrs. Koepke tutored at her children’s schools and was a member of the board of directors of the PTA; was an active docent for the Wichita Art Museum until 2000; volunteered regularly at the Symphony Show House and the Wichita Book and Art Fair; was a member of Botanica and The Wichita Symphony Auxiliary, served as deacon, member of the Martha Circle, and was on the church library committee at Eastminster Presbyterian Church; participated in the Stock Markettes. Her plum coffee cake, love of jazz and musicals, and her “tell it like it is” spirit will be missed. Precede in death by Robert on February 15, 1979. Survivors: son, John Koepke of Dallas, TX; daughter, Leslie Koepke of St. Paul, MN; grandchildren, Jameson and Logan and Katelyn, all of Dallas, TX. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wichita Art Museum and Eastminster Presbyterian Church Music Ministry. Downing & Lahey Mortuary East.

Keel, Lee
Keel, Lee, age 83, retired accountant, died Friday, December 28, 2007. Service, 10:00 A.M., Thursday, January 3, 2008 at Downing and Lahey Mortuary West. Lee was a likeable and considerate man, always putting others first. Survivors: wife, Agnes; step-daughters, Susan and Esther Soto, all of Wichita, Alice (David) Kumagai, of San Diego, CA; step-grandchildren, Angela Gomez, Dyanna Almeida, and Bernadette Porter; step-great grandchildren, Crystal, Michelle, and Cynthia Gomez; and close friends, Lori Norrington, Bob & Mary Caulfield, Ray & Sharon Gilson, Jim & Sheral Peters, William & Diane Peters.

Garner, Michael D.
Garner, Michael D., 49, passed away Friday December 28, 2007. Mike was born May 7, 1958 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Mike grew up in Arkansas where his love of football began. Mike played high school football and then played college ball for the Arkansas Razorbacks. Mike moved to Wichita, Kansas in 1979 when he began working for Cessna Aircraft. Over the next 28 years, Mike held numerous positions from a computer room technician to getting his Textron Six Sigma Black Belt certification and finally becoming Director of Quality of all small cabin aircraft. On July 4, 1990 Mike took Lynette and her daughter Tiffany on their first date, 28 short days later they all became a family and married on August 2, 1990. Less than a year later on June 3, 1991, Tyler Garner joined the family completing the family “circle”. For the next 17 years, Mike would revolve his entire life around his family and work. In 2001, Mike completed his education with a Bachelor of Science and Manufacturing Engineering degree at Southwestern College. With his education and leadership capabilities, Mike was able to achieve his current position as Director of Quality at Cessna Aircraft in December of 2007. Mike could make a friend of the stranger sitting next to him at a football game. His personality and attitude were contagious and made Mike the guy everyone loved to love. On June 16, 2006, Kendyll Garner was born making “Papa” the proudest grandpa ever. Mike will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Mike is survived by his wife, Lynette; daughter Tiffany; son, Tyler; granddaughter, Kendyll, all of Wichita; mother and step-father, Lou & Dave Colclasure, of Conway, AR; father & step-mother, Bob & Peggy Garner, of Farmington, AR; sisters and brothers-in-law, Debbie & Don Ranz, of Farmington, AR, and Cheryl & Kevin Mills, of Lincoln, AR; four nieces; two great-nieces. Visitation with the family 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 1, 2008, at Downing & Lahey Mortuary West. Funeral service will be 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 2, 2008, at Central Community Church, with interment at Resthaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established as the Michael D. Garner Scholarship Fund, c/o Goddard High School Marching Band, 2500 S. 199th Street West, Goddard, Kansas, 67052.

Naden, Darlene, 70, retired Boeing Materiel Analyst and former teacher, died Saturday, December 29, 2007. Visitation with the family will be 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 1, 2008 at Downing & Lahey Mortuary East. Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at Hillside Christian Church. Graveside service will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, at Riverview Cemetery, Arkansas City. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey & Gertrude (Pinkstaff) Rountree, and a son, Kyle. Survivors include her husband, William; sons and daughters-in-law, Tim & Melanie, of Wichita, Gary & Angela, of Bozeman, MT, Dan & Paula, of Gardner, KS; brother, Terry Rountree, of Blackwell, OK; eight grandchildren. A memorial has been established with Hillside Christian Church, 8330 E. Douglas, Wichita, Kansas, 67206.
