Graff; and niece Stephanie Conway. Memorial to St. John’s Episcopal Church, 401 N. Emporia, Wichita, Ks. 67202

Robison, Lillian Susanna
Robison, Lillian Suzanne, 81, formerly of Checotah, OK, passed away on Sept. 11, 2004 at her son’s home in Wichita, KS, while surrounded by family members after a long illness. Lillian was born on March 18, 1923 to John Ronayne and Susanna Christine Miller Ronayne in Le Sueur, MN. She married Robert R. Robison on Jan. 12, 1946 in Collyer, KS. Her parents, husband, brother, Don and sister, Agnes Reginek preceded her in death. Lillian is survived by her three sons, Raymond Robison and wife, Sherra of Albuquerque, NM, Stanley Robison of Wichita, Terence Robison and wife, Mary Ann of Monahans, TX; her grandchildren, Jason, Darren, Derrick, Dustin, Douglas, Daniel, David, Michael, Lisa, Sam; 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews living throughout the country. Lillian devoted her life to her Roman Catholic faith and family. Prior to her illness, she was always an eager and avid participant in all church activities; she also enjoyed cooking and gardening. Lillian will be forever loved and missed; she will be remembered by each of us daily and carried in our hearts forever, The family extends a very special thanks to Rosa Thompson and her steadfast, dedicated, compassionate, loving and professional support throughout the period of illness and to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice and many others for their compassionate care and assistance. Visitation and rosary will be held Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2004 at 7 p.m. in Wichita, KS at Downing & Lahey Mortuary West, 10515 W. Maple. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 145 S. Millwood on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2004 at 10 a.m. Burial will be held at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery near Muskogee, OK on Friday, Sept. 17, 2004 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 145 S. Becker, Emilya Lynn
Becker, Emilya Lynn, 5, “Peanut”, “Bunny”, “Little Goofy”, our Angel in disguise, left this world on September 11, 2004, to visit her grandma Betty. Survivors: daughters, Candida Walters of Seymour, IN, Tina Simmons of Medora, IN and Davida Simmons of Derby, KS; parents, Jack and Lillian Simmons of Golden, TX; grandchildren, Kristian Overshiner, Jami Lynn Walters, Cory Simmons and Gavin Henson; sister, Jacquie Sanders of Wichita; brothers, Jim Simmons of Golden, TX and Rory Simmons of Augusta, KS. Buck, John Alden
Buck, John Alden, 81, retired co-owner of Buck’s Department Store, died Thursday, September 16, 2004. Service 1:30 P.M., Monday, St. John Episcopal Church. John was born February 12, 1923 in Wichita to James and Catherine Buck. In 1947, John received a B.A. in Economics from WSU. After the death of his parents, John began investing in the oil industry. He had two unfulfilled dreams. The first was to play the piano. The second was to learn French. He began French lessons through continuing ed. at WSU, and in 1991, traveled to France. He supported the sister city exchange program between Orlean, France and Wichita. John was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church, Petroleum Club, Wichita Country Club, Optimist Club and was a life member of the WSU Alumni Association where he worked with the French Department. He also supported the Boy Scouts and was an avid stamp collector. John co-owned Brooks Dress Shop at Parklane. Survivor: brother, James Wallace Buck, Jr. of Wichita. O’Dell, Charles M. (Chuck), 75, former owner of O’Dell Washer Supply and employee at Washers Specialties died Saturday, September 18, 2004. Rosary 7:30 pm Tuesday and memorial service at 10:00 am Wednesday both at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. Preceded in death by sisters Barbara Jean Swaney and Shirley Goudy and brother Bonnie O’Dell. Survived by wife Shirley; sisters Donna Swadley of K.C. Mo. and Beverly Bayliffe of Kiowa, Ks. Memorial to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.

Wareing, Constance "Connie" A.
Wareing, Constance “Connie” A., 89, Loving mother passed away Saturday, Sept. 18, 2004. Funeral Liturgy 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 22 at Church of the Magdalen, 12626 E. 21st St. N. Rosary vigil 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, Sept. 21st, 2004, Downing & Lahey East Mortuary, 6555 E. Central. Constance was born Aug. 22, 1915 to Leroy and Winifred Bogart on a farm near Kirwin, KS. Raised in the wheatland, she maintained part of the 1800’s homestead until her death. A child of the Depression, her character developed as she bore witness to her father maintaining the integrity of his bank by using his own funds. Constance attended Fort Hays College and pursued her interest in music and teaching. She was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority, vice president of the Democrat Club and received her teaching and music degree with a Degree Life Certificate in teaching. Her love for children and music were enduring. During college she met her husband John. D. Wareing and married August 6, 1942. During World War II, Connie worked at Boeing and her husband John’s position with Beech Aircraft brought them to make their home in Wichita. John retired from Beech in 1982 and preceded Connie in death on October 31, 1984. She was a member of Magdalen Parish for fifty years, and loved to assist with numerous church and school activities. Her interest in politics was highlighted when she met John F. Kennedy and coupled her photography hobby with rare movie footage of him. Her travel experiences included a trip via the Concorde to her mother’s homeland of England. The onset of Rheumatoid Arthritis in the 70’s limited her mobility but she persisted in her church activities and the interests of her children and grandchildren. She always considered her children her greatest success and gifted them with an unconditional love. She is survived by her sister; Vivian G. Bogart and brother, Vincent L. Bogart; her children John L. Wareing of Alamogordo, NM, Joan Wamsley, Douglas and Christopher Wareing all of Wichita. There are six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Memorials have been established with: Kapaun-Mt. Carmel Catholic High School Memorial Fund, 8506 E. Central, Wichita, KS 67206 and Arthritis Foundation-KS Chapter, 1602 E. Hendrickson, Twila J.
Hendrickson, Twila J., 81, of Heber Springs, AR, formerly of Wichita, died Thursday, September 23, 2004, after a long illness. Born October 28, 1922 in Weskan, KS, she grew up in Denver, CO. She lived in Winfield, then Wichita where she was a homemaker and worked and retired from Wesley Medical Center as a medical transcription supervisor. She and her late husband moved to Heber Springs in November 1993. She was a life long member of The Church of Christ. Preceded in death by her husband, Homer R. Hendrickson and grandson. She is survived by son, Donald Jones of Heber Springs, daughter, Beth Eckert of Wichita, five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and brother, Robert Davis of Denver. Services will be held at Downing & Lahey Mortuary East, 10:00 A.M., Monday, with burial at Highland Cemetery in Winfield, KS. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Alzeheimer’s Association, 347 Laura, Wichita, KS 67211.

Moore, Marilyn J., 74, former Bud Palmer Auction bookkeeper and retired KPTS bookkeeper, died Friday, September 24, 2004. Memorial service, 3 P.M., Saturday, October 2, 2004, Downing & Lahey Mortuary West. Preceded in death by parents, Grant and Goldie Crownover; daughter, Rebecca Jean Moore; sister, Ruth Lewis. Hickman, Randy Gene, 55, Star Lumber and Supply Contractor Sales ~ Home Division, passed away, Friday, September 24, 2004. Memorial service 10:00 a.m., Friday, St. James Episcopal Church. Preceded in death by his parents, Max and Yvonne Hickman. He is survived by his spouse, Kristi Solter, step-daughter, Rachael and husband, Tim Smith of Wichita, granddaughters, Samantha and Bethany, brother, Mike and Jacque Hickman of Topeka, KS, uncle, Bob and Jeanne Williams of Tyngsboro, MA, brother-in-law, Andy Solter and uncle Phil Solter, both of Wichita. Richardson, Vernon Keith
Richardson, Vernon Keith, 89, in management of Boeing Computer Services, died Wednesday, September 29, 2004. Visitation 6:30 ~ 8:30 P.M., Friday, service 10:30 A.M., Saturday, both at Downing & Lahey Mortuary East. He was preceded in death by his son, Larry Vernon, daughter, Cheryl Ilene, parents, Lee and Jessie Richardson, brothers, Derward, Max and sister, Roberta Myers. Survivors: wife, Ada Ruth (Olomon) Richardson; many nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters-in-laws. Vernon moved to Wichita in 1941, where he was employed at Beech Aircraft. After WWII, the position at Beech was eliminated. He took a position at Boeing and was one of the team that went to Poughkeepsie, NY to survey the new technology of the computer system, and after the installation of the computer at Boeing, he became a part of BCS. He served on the Campus School board and was president in 1962-63, he also served on the South Riverside County school board as well as a community board. With the help of subcontractors he built the family home where he has resided since 1955 and where he continued to live until his death. Vernon was a member of the Kansas Computer Association and served as vice president in 1961. Church membership was very important in his life and although he belonged to the Presbyterian Church as a child, after his marriage he joined Disciples of Christ denomination and served on various church boards. Neises, Marilou Delores (Pauly), 73, crossed over to touch the face of God on Friday, October 1, 2004. Rosary, 7 P.M., Sunday; funeral mass, 10 A.M., Monday, both at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. She was born on October 16, 1930 to Cyril and Frances (Jaax) Pauly. She was raised in the Clonmel, Kansas community and graduated from Garden Plain High School. Marilou married Mark M. Neises on April 25, 1950 and they were blessed with five children. Mark and Marilou were the owners of Industrial Maintenance, Inc. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother, Cyril Pauly, Jr. Marilou is survived by her children and their spouses, Peggy and Jim Simon of Clearwater, Mark Rod Neises of Wichita, Sheila and David Ricke of Rose Hill, Randy and Cherri Neises of Viola, Scott and Tamme Neises of Wichita; sister, Dorothy Leis of Yates Center; brothers, Ralph Pauly of Garden Plain, Dean Pauly of Viola. Marilou was a beloved grandmother to 25 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Memorials established with The Lord’s Diner, 520 N. McColl, Sarah Olive Elder, 99, homemaker and a gracious servant of the Lord, went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, October 06, 2004. Burial at the Arthur Cemetery, Arthur, IL, 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, October 13, 2004, followed by a service of memory and celebration at Jonathan Creek Christian Church near Sullivan, IL. Olive was born January 17, 1905 on the family farm in Jonathan Creek Township, Moultrie County, IL to William Samuel and Gertie A Purvis Elder. She earned a teacher certificate from Eastern Illinois State Teachers College, attended Eureka College and the University of Illinois. She was united in marriage to the Reverend Duncan D. McColl on October 14, 1930 in the Jonathan Creek Christian Church where they had met while Reverend McColl was the student minister. They shared together in Christian ministry in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Texas. She moved to Wichita following her husband’s death in 1968. She is also preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Alma Elder and her brother and sister-in-law, William and Frances Elder. She is survived by her children and their spouses: Margaret G. and Robert C. Blome of Indianapolis, IN, Martha Janet and William A. Boyle of Wichita, Dougald L. and J. Patricia McColl of Grand Rapids, MI, William D. and Catherine M. McColl of Dadeville, AL and Donald H. and Kaye F. McColl of Amarillo, TX; fifteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Memorials have been established with Hillside Christian Church, 8330 E. Douglas, Wichita, KS, 67206 and the Duncan D. and Olive E. McColl Scholarship Fund at Eureka College, 300 E.
