Koehn, Mary Ann “Anna”, 89, of Wichita, homemaker, reunited with her family and friends in heaven, November 10, 2003. Viewing 12:00 ~ 9:00 P.M., Thursday and 8:00 A.M. ~ 9:00 P.M., Friday, Downing & Lahey Mortuary. Service 10:00 A.M., Saturday, November 15, 2003, Riverside Christian Church. She was born January 20, 1914 in Lowassie, MO. Anna began attending the Oklahoma School for the Deaf in 1923 and moved to the Kansas School for the Deaf in 1926 where she graduated in 1935. she married Otis H. Koehn in 1937, whom she met at KSD. Anna was active with the Wichita Association of the Deaf and the Roadrunners Camping Group for many years. She loved art and crafts as well as outdoor activities. Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Otis N. Koehn in 2000 and a son, Leroy, in 1949. Survivors: daughter Loretta “Lottie” Koehn-Miller of Wichita; niece, Joann Dixon of Wyoming and a niece by marriage, Gloria Dixon of Oklahoma. Memorials have been established with Riverside Christian Church, 1001 Litchfield, Wichita, KS, 67203 and Presbyterian Manor, 4700 W. 13th N., Wichita, KS, 67212.

Samek, Mary L., 55, antique dealer, died Saturday, November 8, 2003. Service, 10 AM, Thursday, Downing and Lahey Mortuary West. Preceded in death by father, Dale Sims. Survivors: husband, John; sons, Doug and Steve Oldham, Lance and Andy Sadler; daughters, Linda Frazier, Barri Mann, Shanan Wilson; mother, W. Katherine Sims; brothers, Edwin and Bob Small; sisters, Kathy Tawney, Pat Clark, Jeanette Hicks; twenty-two grandchildren. Engen, Eileen E.
Eileen Elizabeth Engen of Wichita Kansas died of cancer at age 77 on Saturday November 8, 2003.
Eileen is survived by daughter Cheryl of Wichita, KS and her sons and their wives; Rob & Katy of Houston, TX; Chris & Joan of Austin, TX; Mark & Maureen of Overland Park, KS and Dan & Angie of Cincinnati, OH; grandchildren Jennifer (Thomas) & Patrick Phipps, Wendy & John Muir; Mary, Colleen, Michael, and Elizabeth Engen; Bobby, Molly, Mary Engen and Jim, Mike and Julie Niggle; Alex and Austin Engen; great-grandchildren, Hayden, Brecken, Saige and Sam; brothers; Jack & Verl Flanery of SD, Dick & Marcia Flanery of AZ; sisters; Bonnie & Max Adler of SD and Donna Schreiner of SD. Eileen is preceded in death by her husband Robert and son Geoff, Mother and Father, 5 brothers and 1 sister.
Eileen was born and grew up in Sioux Falls South Dakota. She lived in Wichita for the last 45 years. She is retired from Wesley Medical Center where she worked for 22 years. She volunteered for several organizations including The Center of Hope and Wesley Hospital.
The rosary will be held at Downing & Lahey Mortuary, 6555 East Central on Tuesday November 11 @ 5:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church on Wednesday November 12 @ 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established with Blessed Sacrament Grade School, 3810 East Douglas, Wichita, KS 67208 and The Center of Hope, 400 N. Emporia, Wichita, KS 67202.

Survivors: wife, Harriet Curlis Lebak; children, James Michael and daughter-in-law, Jane Elwood Lebak of Nashua, NH, Jean Marie Lebak of Colorado Springs, CO, Timothy Robert Lebak of Lawrence, KS and Jeffrey William Lebak of Manhattan, KS; brother, Robert George Lebak of Alexandria, VA; grandchildren, Stephen Michael Lebak and Caroline Gabrielle Lebak. Stephens, Hubert Haldon "Hal"
Stephens, Hubert Haldon “Hal”, 85, retired salesman for Southwest Scientific Corp., died October 31, 2003. Service 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, East Heights United Methodist Church. Hal was born July 24, 1918 in Wichita, KS, to Ralph and Leota Stephens. He graduated from the University of Wichita and went on to be a Captain in the Infantry in WWII. Hal married Iris Edgar on June 9, 1940. He liked to fish and travel. He was a member and former Sunday school teacher of East Heights United Methodist Church. Hal was also a member of the East Wichita Lion’s Club. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Iris; sons and daughter-in-law, Alan of Wichita and Gary and Swati of New York City; two grandchildren. A memorial has been established with East Heights United Methodist Church, 4407 E. Douglas, Wichita, KS, 67218. Downing & Lahey Mortuary East.

Parsons, George M., 73, retired co-owner and founder of ABC Rent-to-Own and real estate investor, died Wednesday, October 22, 2003. George was active in many civic organizations and held positions including Delegate for the National Republican Party, 4th District Delegate to the State Republican Party, Representative for Senator Robert Dole for the Executive Committee State Republican Party, Chairman of local Housing Authority in Wichita, Committeeman for the Republican precinct and was a Sedgwick County Republican chairman. He received the Huck Boyd award for Republican volunteer of the Year. George served on the Board of Trustees for Wichita State University, 1988 through 1993, serving as secretary in 1989, Vice-President , 1990~1991 and Chairman of the Board in 1992. He served in the U.S. Navy. He was preceded in death by brothers, Joseph, Jr. and John and parents. Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Caroline and Larry Brown of Wichita; son, Martin Todd Parsons of Arlington, TX; friends, Linda Parsons and Ethel F.
