Mildred Ore
PUEBLO, Colo. - Mildred B. Ore, 91, formerly of Winfield, died Oct. 21, 1999, in a Pueblo hospital.
Services were held Oct. 25 in Mountain View Cemetery
in Pueblo.
Ore was born Sept. 18, 1908, northeast of Winfield to Joseph and Nora (Eddings) Miller. In June 1927 she married James C. Ore in Winfield. They lived in the Winfield area until moving to Colorado in the late 1940s.
Ore had been organist for her church for several years.
She had lived in an alternative care home since 1989.
Survivors include a son, Robert Ore, Aurora, Colo., seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Local relatives are nieces Marjorie Sellers and Dorothy Hall and nephew Melvin Miller, all of Winfield.
Her husband died in 1989, and a son, James L. Ore, preceded her in death in 1964.
Victor Walker
Services for Victor M. Walker Sr. were held at 2 p.m. Oct. 27, 1999, at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. Roderick Hathaway officiated.
Sandy Yount was the organist, and Katherine Seeliger was the pianist. Hymns were "What a Friend We Have in Jesus," "His Eye Is on the Sparrow" and "Abide With Me."
Casket bearers were Cecil, Gary, Henry, Leslie, Douglas, Harry, Jimmy and Roy Walker.
Honorary casket bearers were Rick Abbott, Bob Banfill, Jim Bowman, Charles Carter, Claude Crawford Jr., Tom Weeks, Eldon Whiteman and Floyd Willis.
Memorials have been established with Trinity Lutheran Church and the Bible Broadcasting Network.
Miles Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.
Janice Clasen
UDALL - Services for Janice K. Clasen were held at 2 p.m. Oct. 28, 1999, in the Udall High School gym. The Rev. Blake Orr and John Gilsenan officiated.
Cora Mettling was the pianist, and Carla Dill was the vocalist. Selections were "When He Was on the Cross" and "It's Never Easy to Say Goodbye."
Burial was in Udall City Cemetery.
Honorary casket bearers were Kirk and Brad Barnett, John Loeb, Brandon Mayes, Greg Mettling and Steve Cross.
Casket bearers were Mitch Loucks, Cory Gerbrandt, Will Pfannenstiel, Darren and Nick Clasen and Kevin Mikulecky.
Contributions to the Janice K. Clasen Memorial Scholarship can be sent to the Bank of Commerce, 119 W. First, Udall, KS 67146.

Junior Nettrouer
CAMBRIDGE - Junior E. Nettrouer, 68, of rural Cambridge, died Oct. 27, 1999, at his home.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Dexter Baptist Church. Following cremation, private inurnment ceremonies will take place.
Friends may call at Miles Funeral Service until 9 p.m. today.
Memorials have been established with Hospice Inc. and the American Cancer Society. Contributions can be made at the funeral home.
Nettrouer was born July 28, 1931, near Cambridge to Ernest and Inez (Eastman) Nettrouer. He attended Gospel Ridge country school near Cambridge.
Nettrouer served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War and received several service medals.
He returned to Kansas in 1954 and farmed and ranched in the Dexter and Cambridge areas. He was active in the Cowley County Livestock Association.
Nettrouer was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dexter, Masonic Lodge, Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion.
Survivors include two sons, Steve Nettrouer, Dexter, and Jim Nettrouer, Maple City; a sister, Margaret Terrel, Grenola; and nine grandchildren.
Ima Wallace
Ima Lavern Wallace, 95, died Oct. 28, 1999, at Good Samaritan Village in Winfield.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the First Christian Church. The Rev. Shawn Sturm will officiate, and burial will be in Wilmot Cemetery.
Visitation at Swisher-Taylor & Morris Funeral Home will be until 8 p.m. today.
Memorials have been established with First Christian Church and Good Samaritan Village. Contributions can be made through the funeral home.
Wallace was born Dec. 17, 1903, at Atlanta to Amos and Anna Laura (Eulster) Kennedy.
On Nov. 12, 1918, she married Earl Thomas Wallace in Winfield. He preceded her in death Jan. 5, 1981.
Wallace was a homemaker and had been employed as a laundry aide at William Newton Memorial Hospital.
She was a member of the Christian Women's Fellowship.
Survivors include three sons, Raymond Wallace, Winfield, Ralph Wallace, Bella Vista, Ark., and Lewis Wallace, Augusta; five daughters, Lydia Purins, Elberta, Ala., Laura Kampschroeder and Delores Johnson, both of Arkansas City, Dollie Hutto, Winfield, and Louetta Starkey, Pratt; two brothers, Stephen Kennedy, Dallas, and Basil Kennedy, West Plains, Mo.; 20 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
A son, LeRoy Wallace, preceded her in death.
Robert Diller
Services for Robert R. Diller were held at 2 p.m. Oct. 28, 1999, at Miles Funeral Service. The Rev. Julie Craft officiated, and burial was in Atlanta Cemetery.
Music selections were "How Great Thou Art," "Peace in the Valley" and "Amazing Grace."
Honorary casket bearers were Jim Burton, Loren Deichman, Lawrence Donley, Wayne Fowler, Carl Jamison, Jewel Jones, Joe Lill, Jim Lincicome, Lee Roy Russell, Virgil Spencer, Dave Tucker and Jerry, Jim and John Wilson.
Casket bearers were David Kennedy, Walter Keely, Norman Krug, Randall Lovell, Jim Sturtevant and Eldon Whiteman.
A memorial has been established with the Atlanta United Methodist Church.
Norma Havens
Services for Norma Moss Havens were held at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 28, 1999, at Miles Funeral Service. The Rev. Sheila Ratzlaff officiated, and burial was in Burden Cemetery.
Music included "There Will Be Peace in the Valley" and "He Touched Me."
Casket bearers were Don Alexander, John Havens, Bob and Jim Lundy, Bob Tatum and Roland Williard.
A memorial has been established with the Burden United Methodist Church.
Vonna Halliday
ARKANSAS CITY - Vonna Lucille Halliday, 79, of Arkansas City, died Oct. 27, 1999, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Bible Christian Church with the Rev. H. Dean LaVelle officiating. Burial will be in Oxford Cemetery
under the direction of Hawks Funeral Home.
Halliday was born Aug. 24, 1920, in Belle Plaine, to Charles and Nellie M. (Prothro) Barclay. She was raised in Oxford and graduated from Oxford High School in 1936.
On May 29, 1938, she married Howard Robert Furnas in Oxford. He preceded her in death June 4, 1964. She moved to Arkansas City in 1973.
On June 14, 1991, she married James Halliday in Arkansas City.
Halliday had been an assembler at Cessna Aircraft before retiring in 1986.
She was a member of the Bible Christian Church, Oxford Order of Eastern Star and International Machinists Union.
Survivors include her husband, James Halliday, Arkansas City; two sons, Robert Lee Furnas, Dewey, Okla., and Charley Furnas, Ponca City; and six grandchildren.
Allen Fuller
ARKANSAS CITY - Allen E. Fuller, 83, of Arkansas City, died Oct. 27, 1999, at his home.
Private services were held Oct. 29 in Riverview Cemetery
with Nancy Blaine officiating.
Memorials have been established with Feed the Children and the Center for Basic Cancer Research at Kansas State University. Contributions can be made through Hawks Funeral Home.
Fuller was born Jan. 16, 1916, in Arkansas City to Allen Emigh and Gladys (Grisham) Fuller. He attended Arkansas City High School.
For more than 20 years Fuller lived in California and worked in the claims department of CNA Insurance. He moved back to Arkansas City in 1977.
On Dec. 31, 1965, he married Annette Doran Pohl in Las Vegas.
Fuller was a member of the First Assembly of God Church and was a ham radio operator.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Fuller, Arkansas City.
